✔️ European Reacts to 5 Clothes Items I Only Wore After Moving to America - Reaction For the First Time
Hi from New York. You look just fine in a baseball cap!
I agree. You wear it well.
You look good in the cap and shirt.
I agree, too!! 💁🏻♀️
Every single baseball player wears that hat. It's biggest purpose is to keep your eyes out of the sun. Catching and hitting a ball, going that fast, no need for sun glare.
Yes I agree, smashing. Im am not a fan of flannel but rock it!! Im a tshirt, tank top, shorts kinda guy, yr round. I played winter league soccer and cold dont mess with me if I have a nice jacket on. I do like a drivers cap, Kangos my brand
LOL! I love way he goes and put on the clothing item when Lawrence mentions it. Andre keeps looking more and more American as the vid goes on!
True 😅
@@european-reacts I loved it too. It was so amazing. You looked fantastic, Andre. And with a Yankees hat none the less!! Been a fan since I was a kid in the 70s. You should look into Yankee legends. There's literally dozens and dozens of legends from that team dating back to the early part of last century. You may have heard of Babe Ruth??? Yeah, you look American, my friend. Peace.
Pretty American looking for a Russian lol
@@Michael-kf7gm OMG! We're talking about the clothes he is putting on. Nothing to do with melanin skin tones, SNOWFLAKE!!!
@@Michael-kf7gm Just go continue your crusade of finding racial bias under every rock somewhere else. I would've said it no matter what color or nationality the person is. IT WAS A COMPLIMENT to Andre who is nervous about sticking out as a tourist in America. Now go away.
For Jeans I would have said Levis considered the original American Jean
I agree. In my area I don't know of anyone who even really wears Old Navy clothes (I forgot Old Navy even existed lol).
Another useful piece of wintertime US kit: flannel-lined shirts and trousers. It gets cold here.
Carhartt. 👍
Fleece-lined FOREVER😂😂
Fleece lined! So comfy and warm!
Perhaps for some places. But not in the Hawaiian Islands where I grew up. Of course, if you live on the summit of Haleakala it would be handy.
@@timhazeltine3256hope I haven't given anyone funny ideas about flannel lined Hawaiian shirts.
I was born and raised in the mid-west of USA.
We called them "jammies" rather than "pajamas" in the 80's.
As a Chicagoan I can confidently say
1. Chicago is sunny
2. We do say baseball caps
3. Some teenagers will wear pajama bottoms outside. We all think it's weird.
4. Yes we wear winter socks. Usually in the house instead of slippers. Sometimes to bed.
5. Old Navy is a brand and they're inexpensive and comfortable.
Kind of funny because its true, a skill that you acquire while traveling is how not to "look like a tourist". Figure out what the local football team is and get a hoodie or ball cap, problems solved. And yes, people do connect it to baseball since this style of cap has been part of the uniform players wear since forever.
Crazy you look like a full on American!
You're looking good in that baseball cap!
Edited to add that I'm a native Texan, living near Houston. Cowboy hats for a small group of men is something they wear daily. For the rest of the population, cowboy hats are worn when dressing up. My husband's hat and boots are only worn with his suit, which he wears 4-5 times per year. Baseball caps are everywhere all the time, though.
We live near Boston but are transplants from the west coast. My husband wears a suit, tie, and cowboy boots to work every day. No hat at work, but he has a gorgeous black Stetson he got on a visit to Texas a few years ago
Lol I think you don't understand his British humor 😂
@FRA 3:50 😅ME5RS
Andre… I love how passionate you are about America! I love the way that you pause the video a lot because you’re so excited or trying to figure something out! Keep the passion and keep making great videos!
You look great in a cap and flannel. A flannel is never outdated
The bend of the hat brim has meaning. A very flat brim is urban. A bend like Lawrence 's is rural. A very curved in brim suggests military sniper or mercenary (or a wannabe)
^^Very flat brim with tag still attached, suggesting you didn't exactly pay for it.
I never knew the sniper/military meaning, I don't like the look because it looks like the wearer is hiding their eyes. Men who wear the brim curled like that often also wear those wrap around sunglasses to complete the look.
@@virginiaoflaherty2983 Shading, not hiding. And the sunglasses serve a similar function.
@@BTinSF
Snipers often wear their cap backwards so the brim doesn't interfere with the scope. IYKYK
Most farmers and ranchers in Texas wear a ball cap before a wide brimmed hat. They usually have one but wear ball caps more. I myself, have a dozen ball caps, but I have grandkids who play sports. I have one wide brimmed hat and thats a fishing hat. With the cap and shirt, Lawerence would be going by Larry.
Yes, we still equate baseball caps with baseball. That's probably why we still call them baseball caps. You need to understand that baseball is played by toddlers, in elementary school, middle school, high school, college and university, semi-pro and professional leagues.
Not to mention the local Little League, the town league, the county league, the state league and every VFW, American Legion, local bar league …and the ladies softball leagues….Baseball is in our blood ❤️
@@margaretbonanno654 Two of my great uncles were baseball players between 1870-1900 time period.
Absolutely called baseball caps. If someone just said cap i would pribably think of somethjng else - maybe a beret. In any event i would not know that a baseball cap was intended.
@@samuelhaber2471 Some folks call them 'ball' caps
@@virginiaoflaherty2983, wow, major league? Which teams? I also had a great uncle who back in 1917 was supposed to play on the Chicago White Sox (believe he was a pitcher). But, unfortunately he went off to fight in WW1 and when he returned his priorities had changed and joined the rat race. 😢
The flannel shirt became an iconic fashion statement in the early nineties when the grunge music movement exploded out of Seattle. It's all Kurt Cobain wore.
FYI: Blue jeans were invented in San Francisco by Levi Strauss in 1873, that's the year his company Levi Strauss & company of San Francisco began manufacturing the first blue jeans.
Someone forgot to tell our hunters and heck when I was in high school (in the 70’s) even the girls all wore flannel shirts. If we got hot we just tied around our waist. I am from WV and flannel has its own department in most stores.
Wrong. Flannel was around for decades prior to Nirvana. I wore flannel in high school in the 1970's.
@@edmartinez6946Kurt Cobain popularized the lumberjack look
flannel is a stable of the pacific northwest 😂 almost all of us who live here have one. i even have leggings that are flannel 😂😂😂😂😂 i live in oregon about 6 hours south of seattle
@@MishaSims oh leggings. I bet those are so comfortable and warm. I am envious.
A rare, hard to find American jean is "Levi 501. Shrink to fit." Or 501's. They come out almost like cardboard. Really thick denim. You get measured and buy them two sizes too big, wash them, and put them on wet, the first few times, around the house. They literally shrink to fit your body shape best. These make you ass look best and also have a covered, button-down fly. This makes your "basket" look bigger than it is. Best jeans ever. They start out dark blue and slowly fade. And they last for years. Longer than most jeans. 501's !
Not at all hard to find and coming back in popularity. Just Google them. Levi's has an online store that sells them. And in spite of their other features, they are the original: The jeans Levi Strauss created and sold by the thousands to gold miners in the 1870s.
I am now visualizing you, whatever you look like, sitting in the bathtub wearing your jeans to shrink them the old fashioned way. By the way, heat shrinks them better than getting them wet. Be sure to dry on "High" in the dryer.
One more thing. Both Levis and Old Navy, a subsidiary of Gap Inc., are San Francisco born and bred. In fact, Gap got started selling L:evi's jeans but then started featuring their own brand at a lower price. Then they started Old Navy as their bargain brand (and bought another SF store, Banana Republic, as their higher end brand) but kept pretty good quality.
They used to be more widely available in Europe but these days I order them online. Also, the Wrangler 13MWZ or 936 are both raw denim that you need to shrink the same way.
We love denim jeans so much here in America that our money is made from them.
501’s are probably outlawed in the EU, along with everything else that’s fun. Not, that I don’t love Europe, but recently the EU seems to be taking the word “nanny-state” to another level.
i have a levi factory outlet by my house in troutdale, oregon and they sell 501’s. they may have the “shrink to fit” ones you’re looking for
I like the flannel and cap combo.
You’re channeling your inner American. You’ll fit right in with that shirt and cap.
And our different plaids are endless!
That shirt has a nice plaid. Your wife knows what looks good on you.
I haven't played baseball in 50 years, but I still wear a baseball cap almost every day. Nothing looks sexier, by the way, than a woman with her hair in a ponytail, and the ponytail coming out through the gap created by the adjustment strap in the back of the hat. I can't be the only one.
New England also wears all the same clothes for wintertime. Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island get pretty cold in the winter too. I wear everything that Lawrence was talking about!
Yes! It’s wet and humid so layers and warm clothing are super important.
It's been so miserably hot and humid in NH, I can hardly stand it.
@@FRAME5RS Wait until Dec, Jan and Feb!! 😆
And y’all love the wear red, white, and blue!
Hat looks natural on you
You look great!
I agree Andre looks great in the hat.
I think a ball cap & flannel shirt suit you, André.
There are plaid shirts & flannel shirts
Flannel applies to the weight (thickness) of the material.
Women wear ball caps in the US, also.
Somehow, you look more American wearing that hat.😊
There is nothing so good as a good pair of Merino wool socks when it’s cold.
FYI: 'baseball' cops are called that because they originally started as the caps that baseball players wore. but since then, they are just a style of caps, not that you have to be some way associated with baseball, just like 'cowboy' hats are now a style.
additionally, with the cap and shirt, you look just like a Mid-Western (from the Mid-West States, not from the Western States). only your accent gives it away. and it looks great with your haircut.
Could easily be from new England and mid Atlantic states also.
You do look very American, and the hat looks good on you.
Can't say I've ever worn Old navy jeans. My go to jeans are either Lee or Wrangler. But, jeans are absolutely a personal preference.
Hope ON jeans are better made than the rest of their junk. It all seems to fall apart really fast.
For a good fit for my body shape it’s Lee jeans.
Cowboy hats are expensive, and in my case, while they provide excellent protection from the sun, they are unwieldly. I usually wore a baseball cap, a plus was I could fold it and put it in my back pocket.
Usually, we wore flannel shirts in the winter because they are warm.
Did you miss "grunge"? Flannel shirts were also, at various periods, cool. In the 1950s, most little boys wore them much of the time except in the summer. In the "disco era" they were a gay male uniform (i.e the "clone" look). Then Seattle's "grunge" sound made them more mainstream. Then Kurt Cobain died and, well, . . . .
Baseball caps are super important to keep the sun off your face. It’s super hot and sunny in the summer and you will get a burn. If you visit the USA in the summer make sure you bring and wear a hat.
On the other hand in the winter I often wear two pairs of socks (one must be wool).
13:15
"old navy' is a store. and they have a brand of jeans that are cut slightly different than say levi's, so they tend to fit slightly different and some say more comfortable.
Lee jeans fit me better than Levi's.
Your personality was great in this video . Loved the video, love you!
Chicago has plenty of sunny or mostly sunny days. It also has rainy or cloudy days. It's like most cities that aren't in a desert.
Hat looks good on you. Most of us in the states often wear baseball caps.
I like your hat, looks good on ya!!
Ty 🙏
I wear a cap almost always when outside, I love my jammies, my feet are almost always cold so cozy socks are a must. I haven't had Old Navy Jeans in a very long time. You look good as an American. South East Minnesotan here.
I live in historic Richmond, Virginia. It’s technically a part of the South (it was the Capitol of the Confederacy) but is not as Southern as the Deep South. It does get really cold here. One winter it was so cold (I think it was a polar vortex or some storm), we boiled water, then ran outside & threw it in the air 💦 It INSTANTLY turned into ice ❄️ It was so cool 😲 We don’t get as much snow (frequency wise or total snowfall amounts) as the north or Midwest but we truly get all 4 seasons here, sometimes all in the same week 😂 I’m laughing but I’m so serious. We can have snow on Monday & then it’s 75 degrees on Friday. The only good thing about cold weather is the clothes, jackets, coats for fall-winter are so much cuter than summer 😂
It was one of 3 different capitals
@@SkewtLilbttm I was merely pointing out that Virginia is a part South. Richmond was the capitol for 4 of the 5 years the Confederacy lasted. How is your comment relevant to MY point? What is your point other than “correcting” something that wasn’t wrong? 🤦🏾♀️😂
Rural Texan here. We wear the hat that fits the work. Outdoors, under the blazing sun, or needing a little extra winter warmth from rain or sleet, need a cowboy hat. Cowboy hats are a pain on a car ride, they work in a pickup, but cars usually have your hat banging the roof or headrest.
We dont call those baseball hats, unless maybe it *is* your baseball team. We call 'em "gimme caps". Because some company is always giving them away for advertising. (Gimme = the short version of "give me") They keep the sun out of your eyes. They keep hair from blowing and for us gals definitely cover bad hair which could have been because you were just wearing that cowboy hat while working in the pasture or garden.
City people are different in their hat wearing reasons. But in the country, you wear what fits the job.
P.S. you look good in your cap and flannel shirt. I tell ya, nothing is more comfortable than a well-worn flannel shirt in chilly weather.
Awww, we love you, too. And you pause all you want because I love to hear you talk. The hat looks great on you by the way.
As soon as that hat hit your head…total American.
Yep, you would fit in anywhere in the USA. You are right. They are often called “baseball caps” or “ball caps” but are ubiquitous for all sports teams, recreational activities, political parties, trucks and heavy machinery users… basically anything. If it is sunny out, the ball cap is the headwear of choice. Speaking as a Southern Californian.
Old navy is ok, just not for me as the sizing is weird on me. I just pick what fits. It’s tough as my waist changes constantly throughout the day. But Levi’s is good.
Many years ago I was having coffee with a neighbor one morning and complaining that just having a cup of coffee made me look pregnant. She laughed, thinking I was kidding, but when I stood up to leave, her jaw dropped. I did pooch out like I was five months pregnant. Turns out I am lactose intolerant. Might that be why your waist changes during the day?
I am a Texan and yes, baseball caps are much more common than cowboy hats. The cowboy hat isn’t as popular as it used to be. Those that wear them are die hard cowboys (real ones not show boys),country folk or US Marshall’s, Texas Rangers, Highway patrol etc…
We LOVE fuzzy socks. More of a woman thing but some guys enjoy them.
You absolutely are rockin the American look!!!
A lot of Sheriff's Office still wear cowboy hats
You will notice cowboy hats in Texas because they practically beg to be noticed, but most men are not wearing them. You will see way more baseball caps. Personally, I have switched to bucket hats because they provide more sun protection for my neck and ears!
First, you look great in a baseball cap. Secondly, living in Chicago my WHOLE LIFE, and I go out and walk every single day at least 5 miles it is VERY sunny here. I try to go out very early and in the evenings because it's so bright out. 😊
You do look like an American, and I like the hat on you.
I had to chuckle several times through this video. Love your reactions! So true and honest. Love to you and your family!💞
In rural parts of US, these are also know as "Gimme" caps, because companies often give them away as advertising swag at trade shows."Gimme one of them there ConAgra hats and tell me more about your new hybrid field corn seed." And farmers use up, lose, wear out half a dozen hats a year,.Women also wear them because the adjustable plastic snap has a cutout that works as a hair tie for long hair. There is à whole culture stream that wear the hat turned backward, for many reasons. It also shades the neck. It's generational as well.
I know both the US and Europe in the early 1900's most working men wore a a soft, flattish billed cap in pretty much the same situations as baseball caps now.
Yeah, the cap to have may be the John Deere one suggesting you own and drive a tractor so must be a farmer.
The cap look great on you. You would fit in really good here.
I do wear thicker socks in the winter, even have some good wool socks and also we wear flannel lined blue jeans to keep warm and even a wind breaker over them if it is really cold, snowy and windy.
Portuguese American.....you pass as American in several New England and central California towns. Very large migration from the Azores, like my own Grandparents.
I'm in Texas. I only wear clothes to leave the house. Or indoors in the winter. If we were meant to run around naked, we would have been born that way. :--)
Dirty hippie...
If you keep the AC set at 78, then the pants come off when you go inside.
@@kkarllwt - my a/c is set to 80.
Living in rural Vermont . I can tell you a flannel shirt (when it’s not 96 degrees) and baseball hats is just part of everyday life .
You are already mostly American! Come to the Red, White and Blue side. We have cookies.
You look a little better with a trucker cap. It’s the same sort of style just the brim is wider and it’s a bit stiffer in the front while back is more breathable. Truckers use them to block glare from the sun hence why it’s wider. Unfortunately a cowboy hat is not for you yet as that requires longer hair
Andre don't know if yours is but they make those shirts with a quilted lining too and that keeeps you cozy in the winter too.If you keep looking like your from the states you're going to have to reconsider moving here.
Flannel isn't so much a cowboy thing as it is a Northwoods thing. Of course many other people also wear it.
Mexican -Americans and American Indians also wear plaid flannel shirts even in the summer.
That hat works on you 👍🏻
Doctor Who has been around since 1963 plus Peter Cushing played Doctor Who in 3 movies
We love you too Andre!
I honestly like the plaid on you but save that if you ever decide to go in mid to late autumn. Maybe during early to mid spring but otherwise: don't wear that in the summer.
Unless you’re in San Francisco. 😉
Yes. You will see more people in baseball caps than cowboy hats in Texas. More oil rig workers than cowboys now. Cowboy hats can get in the way on a rig and baseball caps do not. 🎉😂
Ball caps here in the Ozarks are worn by mostly good ole boys and gals and farmers. So about everyone. All the old men wear them. They are as popular here as cowboy hats in cow country. We love our caps. I'm a 54 year old female and I have over 20.
Yes, we wear baseball hats much more than ten gallon hats(comfort and convenience)
Flannel is popular for men and women in fall to winter months due to the warmth, and it is less bulky than a sweater.
If you want Real denim, get you some Wranglers our Levi's 😊
Hello from Chicago. I am a native born and raised in Chicago. We have 4 distinct seasons. We have a very long winter from November-March. We have a shorter Spring from late March to June. During Spring it may snow but not very much. Summer is from mid June to September. It can be very hot and humid in Chicago reaching 100 degrees F. Fall is also short from mid September to late November. It's my favorite time of the year. We have beautiful leaves changing colors and we celebrate Halloween and Thanksgiving.
In Texas, one is more likely to see Mexican immigrants wearing what are not quite “cowboy” hats. Anglos or Blacks are more likely to wear gimme caps.
This American geezer wore jeans as a kid, and frequently now when gardening. It is generally too warm here in central California for flannel shirts, but they were common where I grew up. Pajamas are my customary retirement uniform around the house--I have light cotton ones for warmer weather and heavier ones for Winter. I don't own a baseball cap; I am not partial to sun-burnt ears.
I wear flannel shirts every time of the year outside summer. I also wear a wide brim hat in the summer because of the heat and my hair being cut short
Personally I don't wear thick winter socks during cold weather but I do wear tube socks. Protects my legs from cold drafts up the pant legs.
Light water valley is an amusement park in central Britain. It’s like Porto Boega that is being built in Portugal now or Aquashow park. Light water valley is more amusement park than actual theme park because of its smaller size and it doesn’t really have a uniting theme to bring the park together. the main theme park in Britain is Alton Towers in Staffordshire kinda near London. Universal studios though is starting to acquire land to create Universal UK, just they need permits and the town approvals. Universal isn’t going to start the British project until Epic Universe gets finished in Orlando as that is on a big time crunch as they have roughly 5 months to finish at the promised date.
Chicago is not particularly cloudy. It is usually sunny, even in the winter.
I live in a different part of the Midwest (in Missouri, which is next door to Illinois where Chicago is). It gets really icy in winter here rather than snowy and the winds are very brutal and just seem to cut you to the bone. We have a lot of outdoor jobs here (such as logging and farming) so many people will buy thick jeans that are lined with flannel and have a layer of filling (similar to how jackets are made) to help keep legs warm. I don't know anyone in this area that wears Old Navy jeans specifically lol. The most common brand used here is probably Dickies, which makes thick work jeans and clothing. A lot of people will also layer some of those fleece pajama pants under their normal jeans in winter. Fleece pajama pants in spring, winter, and fall is the common pants to wear around the house if you're not going anywhere (though plenty of people will also wear them to the store or something as well). There's also insulated flannel shirts that are worn a lot during fall or spring when it's not quite cold enough for a coat, but still too cold for a t-shirt. Of course, all of this is just MY area of the state (south central part)...like most states, clothing styles vary from area to area as well as from state to state.
flannel, ball cap, blue jeans, cowboy boots, pie plate belt buckle. and chewing gum/ Copenhagen snuff.
6:41 former Chicagoland dweller here, my entire fall/winter/spring wardrobe is flannels shirts with a few thermals (to go under the flannels) for the very coldest days when I will be outside for more than a couple hours.
Andre you look VERY American with the baseball cap and flannel shirt. If you have jeans on and get some cowboy boots the folks in Texas will think you are a native !!!!! You do look great in that shirt & cap....I personally love flannel shirts
I am 54 and have lived in the city of Chicago my entire life. Chicago is a pretty sunny city for the most part. Even on a freezing, winter day it can be sunny enough for sunglasses.
Flannel shirts are a warm layer during colder weather. Not all flannel is a plaid pattern either.
I love Lawrence's dry sarcastic sense of humor and Andre, you are one handsome man!
Like your hat! Your smile lights up your videos!
Portuguese is an official language here in Connecticut in the United States. The courts publish information in English, Spanish, and Portuguese because many Portuguese settled here.
Before the popularity of the ball cap, I would imagine that people working in the garden would wear straw hats with all-encompassing round brims. I'm still old enough to remember my father's dark bottle-green fedora. I loved to see him wear it on his way to work with a long wool tweed coat and carried a brown cowhide leather bulging briefcase, and yes, he did wear zip up galoshes (in the winter --he was a school teacher, but actually when he was out shoveling snow he wore the type of leather hat with earflaps which extended in the back of the neck --sometimes a scarf). The gloves were leather, until it was the fashion to wear thick ragwool mittens and maybe a second pair if he was x-country skiing --and then, he wore a shorter length military-issue jacket, with a stocking or watch cap.
My father also wore one of the fedora in the 50s/60s. Then, for some reason, he switched to a navy blue baseball cap.
In about the 80s he bought a US navy baseball cap.
In Canada it is typical to see a lot of Ball Caps worn by men and women. We generally don’t say baseball cap, just ball cap which also depicts Hockey teams or football teams here. Flannel is definitely Canadian as well, of course it really depends on what part of the country you’re in, rural , small town or big city.
Apparently Lawrence never watch Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp always wore a "baseball" cap. Then again, if it doesn't have a baseball team logo, it isn't a baseball cap, just a baseball style cap. That cap serves 2 primary purposes: 1.) Keeps the sun out of your eyes, and 2.) for bald men, keeps their scalp from getting sunburned.
Hat looks natural on you, shirt too. Im an old boomer so the only thing I have from Old Navy is a blue jean jacket that was about half the price of the standard Levis, but I like it. Fits good and its held up well. Ive always been a Lee or Wranglers jean guy mostly. I always enjoyed hats, esp since becoming follicular deprived. Own numerous ball caps/trucker hats etc, a few flat caps, a couple of fedoras, a Panama, and a couple of Tilleys. Only cowboy hat I kinda want is a Stetson Open Road.
Andre looks much better in the cap and flannel than Lawrence. Although Lawrence chose awful examples of both, those pearl snaps and decidedly new looking trucker hat is a country trucker slant!
Don't button your flannel. Wear it as a thin jacket over a matching casual shirt. Pajama pants are perfect for lounging around the house. Wear with an old faded t-shirt, when they're super soft, and the thick socks.
Nothing better than thick, wool socks during a New England winter.
Pajamas is a word that comes from India. The bottoms are called pajama and the top is called kurta. The Kurta comes down about 15 cm below the waist for men and often have embroidery around the neck. For women they come down below the knee and have beautiful patterns. Women wear pants/trousers with their top, too, but they are more colorful and decorative. I particularly like the pants cuff, especially when it's embroidered.
It doesn't matter which way you spell it except to indicate where you come from. That's because Indians spell it with Hindi letters, and the English and American spellings are merely phonetic transliterations, and, as you can see, people pronounce words a little different from each other.
You look great Andre. You look like a perfect American (whatever that means? seems like everyone over here is trying to look like some other country). And the hat? That hat couldn't be better either. Oh, and a lot of the Texans wear a ball cap, or a beannie stocking cap in the winter, and then in the spring the cowboy hats come out and stay out all summer and fall.
Old Navy also has good t-shirts!
Farmers and ranchers will usually wear baseball caps for work. They usually reserve their cowboy hats for social occasions and dancing.
Growing up in the 60s and 70s, nobody wore baseball hats in the United States. Unless they were playing baseball.
Somewhere in the 80s and 90s started being worn and being worn inside and all the time. And now, unfortunately, it’s just all over the place.
You look good with the baseball cap on
I wear these and I am a woman. They have everything in sayings. They started as baseball and now it’s a hat for football , cities, sayings, no sayings. Just great hats. Women can put their hair up in them . Great to keep sun out of your eyes. Just great for everything.
Plaid does not equal flannel. Plaid is a design comprised of multiple colors arranged in stripes or roughly geometric patterns. Flannel is a fabric used for making shirts, jackets, blankets… Winter socks are great all over the US. Having lived in Chicago and having been born on the Canadian border in New York State, I can confidently say the Midwest does not experience the most brutal winter weather in the US.
You definitely look American in a ball cap and flannel shirt with tee shirt underneath! Quite a startling transformation actually!
In North America, our weather fluctuates greatly I live in Canada. We wear ball caps and flannel because of the temperature change you can go from 30 Celsius in the summer to -40 or 50 Celsius in the winter Alaska and the Yukon have temperatures like that that’s where the flannel comes in, it’s warm and soft
You'd blend right in anywhere in the US. Well, maybe not the flannel in Florida, but the cap is on point!
You've never looked more handsome than you do in that hat!
I love your sense of humor! You look pretty American in the baseball cap and plaid shirt. We love you too! Keep them coming!
I live in the mountains in southwest Colorado and work outside. I have winter socks and I have summer socks. I also buy work boots a half size too big to wear in winter. Too tight causes you to be even colder because you're not getting enough circulation to warm up. I learned this snowboarding. I was miserable until I got bigger boots that weren't so tight.
We have people in the US who wear authentic clothing from 19th century peasant life or dresses circa 1905 or so. The Amish are the most famous, but the German Baptist Brethren wear authentic folk clothing and Old Order Mennonites and conservative Mennonites wear long dresses with caps or scarves. The Hutterites live in communes and dress the way they dresses when living in Russia. All these groups are German, but each brought characteristics of the old country from dialects, food, decentralized church leadership and homemade modest, practical clothing. These people all fled Europe to escape persecution, wars and conscription.
There are actually subtle differences in the design on baseball caps, you can get one that fits very awkwardly, and one that fits you like a glove. That cap looked fine on you. I have two caps now that are really shaped and fit well. I probably have had 8 before that, that were less than good. Chicago is sunny in summer, but in winter and early spring and late fall it can be quite gray and cloudy.
The disguise is perfect especially for the Midwest! I'm pretty sure almost everyone I know owns and wears flannel but i do live in Missouri these days 😂but even when i lived in California people wore it .
