This is a really amazing location and the cabin is in such good condition. The view is breathtaking to say the least. It was nice to see you continue on after deciding to leave but always safety first. Kudos to both of you for finding it, and thanks for the opportunity to travel there with you.
Lol @ 3:38 as they got to the cabin (supposedly for the first time) you see a camera tri-pod standing in the cabin just inside the door!. It's all good and just a part of the show. Love the adventures guys
Of course we check everything out before we turn on the camera - for safety purposes and to figure what camera angle we are going for. Glad you are enjoying our adventures.

I'm with you, always amazed that so far from everything in hard to reach places, people found minerals there and built mines. That cabin was in amazing shape.

Hey you gorgeous explorers! What an absolutely amazing place. Nice of you to notice my handy work in cleaning up that cabin! I can but dream lol. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us, we really truly appreciate all your hard work. How great to see Tonto in action too 😊 Really hope you are both keeping well & staying safe out there? I received some very upsetting news this evening, an old school friend of mine, who I've known since we were 9, passed away. It certainly brings it home that life is certainly too short to waste. So, I'm definitely hoping to be doing my American road trip in a couple of years! I'll see you both then 😉 Take care Andrea & Steven. Hugs for Tonto. x
Thanks Sue. Sorry for your loss. Yes life is definitely short and you never know what tomorrow will bring. Follow your heart and go for your dreams. Don’t put it off too long.
Love the video you two ! Even after working all day y’all made me feel like a lazy dog with all that long marching up and down that beautiful landscape . Hope you found some big tacos and enchiladas after that , cant imagine the calories you burned - what a hike . . I’m impressed you could still smile for the camera . That was a quaint tidy cabin , almost could see you staying the night there. And yes Tonto is a “ beast” , I think Andrea was giving him a hug she was so glad to see him. Ha ha. When y’all get done rubbing each others feet maybe you could rub Tontos tires . 🤣. Hoping to see Pin in the Atlas many more years.
Ahhh. Thanks Ron. Tonto certainly is the best and a part of the family. We do take real good care of him. In fact he's going for a spa day this Friday to have his tires rotated and all his liquids refreshed.
@@PinInTheAtlasYou’re very welcome . I thought you were going to say you were taking him to the spa to get his hub caps painted and a new hairdo for his “ bonnet.” Ha ha . I can tell y’all take great care of him - inspite of all that rugged terrain he looks ship shape . I’d like to leave you with something I learned in college years ago that reminds me of you two adventurers. “ All life is an arch where through gleams that untraveled world . Thank you very much for this excellent video presentation. The cabins were very well preserved, obviously a place that is rarely visited or at least not visitors who would seek to cause harm to these important aspects of the history of the United States of America. Thank you especially for going further in looking at the ore shoot and tunnel, I am sure that you will have slept well that night. It looks as though these cabins were in use until comparatively recently.
Glad you enjoyed this adventure John. Yes we were absolutely knackered after this adventure. But it was so worth it to see these well preserved cabins.
hahahhaha you guys pulled a fast one ...we were thinking ..hey we want to see that mine .....we smashed that like button....we smashed it real HARD ...oh Yeah !!!!!
Ahh, cool video. Great to get to see some footage of Toto doing his thing! Loved the close up shots (vegetation/cabins). Incredible how good that main cabin looked, even with the door wide open! Even pack rats don't venture this far LOL :-) Judging by the ocotillos, this must have been rather south in Arizona?
What beautiful scenery with a nice deep blue sky. The miners sure know how to pick them off the beaten track. You where also lucky to find the place very clean and far away. In some of your shots do use a drone?
Well, it looks like you blokes have to put up with the many prickles and thorns in the undergrowth like we do in OZ, pain in the bum ay !!! Stillit's worth it to get to all those great places, take care !!!
The distinctive Ingersoll Rand (IR) logo. 15:58 Some people call that machine, on the right, an air upsetter. It has various dies for shaping steel. It can be used to reshape mining drills, to sharpen them or to create custom drills. I bet that cost a fortune in her day!
Here is a tip I'll give as I do everyone I see do videos like this. You can buy a metal plate with a car brand name or something else and put magnets on it. You cover your other plate with the decorative plate..... For clips like this. This isn't obscuring your license plate on the public roads if you're just doing short clips like that. You slap the plate on, take the footage then take it off.
Thanks for the tip. We normally take the plates off when we're filming, but forgot on this one. It's always a nuisance to try and block it out after the affect.
@@PinInTheAtlasTaking it off is a pain too. I see plenty of people having to edit like you did here. I had a classic red-white-blue USA-1 license plate I used for a friend's videos. Looked great on his car and thankfully it was magnetic. Some stainless steel and obviously aluminum isn't and one could figure out other methods of sticking the plate I suppose. You can always have a custom one made up with your channel or a logo. I'm frankly surprised more people don't do this. The blur effect is what I see the most but it would be a great shot to promote your channel.
