I found Hua Hua while listening to Dimash from The Singer show. He was on it in 2018 I believe and then again in 2020. He is one of if not the most popular artists in China now. He is an amazing writer, composer, singer, artist well you name it. I don’t even speak Chinese and he is probably one of my favorite artists and most played artists. His version of Heaven is my favorite of his songs. Also, Jackdaw Boy, Us, Bullfighting. There’s too many to list them all.
Like Dimash, Hua is another absolute musical genius. If you have not seen 7 Personalities by Hua, you need to. He literally does different personalities on stage and seems to descend into madness at the end. He is fascinating to watch, often beautiful to hear and maybe the only artist other than Dimash that can make me cry just because of the emotions he exhibits during his performances such as Dad, I'm Home and Dear Friend.

Yeah, this is a beast of an artist and performer. Brilliant, complex, profound artist and person. Superstar is just a side-effect. Song backstories are important with this artist, aside from his stunning performances. If reactors have time for that, of course.
Hua Chenyu grew up listening to Muse, Radiohead, Linkin Park etc. He views his voice as an instrument. He sucks up new vocal techniques and incorporates them in his songs. If Dimash is the best Vocalist on the Planet, Hua Hua is the greatest PERFORMER. He is like a bit of Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, George Michael, Prince, Marc Bolan, Matt Bellamy, Thom Yorke, and recently Bruno Mars....all rolled up in one person.

On top of his diverse and wide vocal range, he is a genius composer as well as one of the best in industry for cover re-arrangements. He is a chameleon and an absolute stage beast. Watching him is like opening blind boxes cos you never know what you going get. Just pick any of his songs from singer 2018 or 2020 as starters. Its a long way down the rabbit hole.

I've discovered this artist a week or so ago and I'm overwhelmed by his creativity and well-crafted songs (he reminds me sometimes of the late Freddie Mercury). So many good songs with very good lyrics (I know only the English translations). Live or on record, he's amazing in his art. All the best from Germany :)

Hua Chenyu is a musical genius who writes fantastic music and rearranges the songs of others into unrecognizable masterpieces. Nunchucks was a straightforward rap song by Jay Chou, and HuaHua turned it into this in 48 hours without food or sleep. He can and does sing every genre of music, including as you heard here Chinese opera in which men sing the women's parts. We would all agree with you that he was born to do this. In fact, he's more comfortable on stage than off, where he's pretty shy. I don't know of a performer who compares with him. He engages the crowd better than anyone, and his fans, called Martians, are completely devoted. You really owe it to yourself to see more of him. Try BULLFIGHTING. Any performance, live or not will be fantastic. He doesn't have bad days. Thanks for taking such a positive attitude. Not all reactors are open-minded about performers who don't speak English. When you called him a superstar, I wanted to cheer.

I like the all-around word performer because he seldom just stands still and sings. Occasionally he will, but he always holds the audience in the palm off his hand. Take a few minutes to watch a few of his videos. You'll see what I mean.

Copy Dimash? No, he is not at all. Hua Chenyu is in the music business since 2013, a few years longer then Dimash. Also their styles are totally different. Dimash mixes mainly pop with opera. Hua Chenyu is basically a rock singer, also a composer, rapper. Who likes to mix genres if it suits the theme of the song. Like in this song he is mirroring the lyrics of the song.. the soft and hard parts of the nunchucks... with the music, which also have soft and hard parts. It is a pretty genius rearrangement done by him. I love listening to HuaHua because it never gets boring and I love his different styles of music. Dimash is great too but for me the kind of music he is doing is not the kind of music I listen to every day. Tastes are different and thats ok.
Sure, stick with Dimash if you like him better but don’t say HuaHua is imitating him. Hua Chenyu sees his voice as an instrument and will always sing in a way that serves the song, he won’t belt high notes if they’re not needed. I way much prefer HuaHua’s emotional renditions with his range than listening to any vocal athlete. Plus do know that HuaHua has started his career in 2013 and given concerts that were sold out in the matter of a few minutes since 2014. People like to compare Dimash and HuaHua but their only common point is their charisma.
