The irony is that by making it look and function like a piano, the casing and dust cover have become the most practical for a record player, as opposed to the suitcase style where the disc hangs over the case and sometimes rubs against the lid.
IT REMINDS ME OF AN OLD ORGAN CONSOLE THAT I HAD 20 YEARS AGO. MINE WAS A SPINET ORGAN CONSOLE THAT HAD A BUILT IN CASSETTE RECORDER AND TURNTABLE ON TOP OF THE CONSOLE WHERE YOU HAVE TO OPEN THE LID OF THE ORGAN TO PLAY THE RECORD
I remember the one with the cassette, but not with the record player.

Thank you for sharing those fantastic things that can not be bought in Argentina. I still have the almost exact record player BSR in a Philips component of 1989. I a from the 40´s so these things amazes me. From valvular tobluetooth. You show a wonderful glimpse of the First World. I love this!!! I shall share in my Facebook and Twitter or Z so people willl enjoy and appreciate your channel. Gracias!!!!
Awesome…. I have never seen that design. You probably have some of those old keyboard record players, like the Panasonic SG123. There are quite a few designs of keyboard turntables not just the SG123.
Thank you for this review. I'm thinking of ordering this as a Christmas gift for my 28 Y.O. daughter. Quick question: can the cartridge be replaced? If so, would a better quality cartridge/stylus improve the sound output from the player's speakers? If so, is there one you recommend that would work with this?
Proper impedance matching makes all the difference. I don't mind it being lo-fi but I cannot stand shrill. I think Panasonic made a piano record player back in the 70s.
The first thing I look for in a record player is a 36-note working keyboard! Such a pity that Technics never came up with it. So many budding concert pianists lost their chance, simply because they bought the wrong record player (ahem, turntable) to practice their scales on! Is it true that they have a similar model that comes with a built in 8-track player? And isn't there a VCR piano, with the TV screen built into the lid? I'm looking forward to their greatest innovation, a combination "refrigerator and record player" ( the player is in the freezer compartment)" As I understand it, the shipping will be expensive on this item - due to unfortunate size and weight issues - but, this technological wonder will always play cool music... get it, "cool" music? And you don't have to go far for that all-important beer! In fact, you're gonna need it when you try to play a frozen pizza on it!
The keys do definetely work, though the piano samples are a little weird. I wouldn't expect something like this to have amazingly good piano samples for the keyboard but at least it's in tune and you can play things. If only you had a pitch control, you could make recordings recorded at different tunings other than standard be in tune with the piano part so it wouldn't clash if you play along. I'd probably just run the audio from the headphone out of my revolution go into my yamaha keyboard so I can play if I want to, though I can see the appeal of this.
your t shirt is so funny hahahahaha I can't even, your bad luck to get two! Sorry for laughing, but it was funny. But Jurassic Park, my man, you got some taste! Genius movie.
it's too bad it didn't have better speakers because hooking it up ot external speakers kind of takes away from its aesthetics but I guess if you have long speaker wires or blue tooth speakers..that could be mitigated, certainly seems like a fun product.
It looks good and sounds good. Amazon says it has a magnetic cartridge but it looks like a ceramic. Which is it? Like all of your videos, always informative.
Cheap Chinese junk that'll destroy your copy of Dark side of the Moon !! Looks great though and the keyboard sounds decent too. So there's that . Another great episode of Record-ology.
It will not destroy your records. I hate when people try to come off as knowing what they are talking about, but just end up showing the world just how much they do not know what they are talking about.

It's basically a modern toy piano with a record player. Kids of a certain age might really like it.
It reminds me of that Panasonic record player piano combo from the 70s.
Schroeder would love this. Gotta play Linus and Lucy on it lol

I would get this just because it's something different from what you normally see of turntables.
I'm still in the first minute and a half of this video and already I want this. I'll be looking into it for sure. Even if it's just novelty.
I really like this. A Enertainer for sure..
I hate the A.I. ads they put on youtube now, but I still LOVE your videos.
This reminds me of a phone i had that was a piano that actually worked
Yes! I gave one to my (now ex-) husband, who's a musician, for Christmas many years ago. He loved it and it looked great in his music room.
Fantastic turntables like it😊
Thank you very much

Schroeder from Charles M. Schulz' 'Peanuts' would love this piano turntable. :)

I think it's more designed to be a toy piano than any sort of serious musical instrument.
I wonder if you record to USB on this and play on something else, would it sound better?
Inspired by the movie "Big," let's get a rendition of "Chopsticks" on it!😀

Ha!! Off centered T-shirt!! Now to the show. I'm first 😊 comment
Well, THAT’S a familiar mechanism-no surprise there. Peace.
But will it play FREEBIRD?!!?!!? 😆
Useless? Yes
Good player? Meh
Good piano? No
I want it? Absolutely yes
I feel the same way. I have no use for it but I want to play with it lol
Great for someone with a tin ear. LOL.

I mentioned that in the description.
Thank you. @@Recordology
Sound quality is tin-canny. My $20.00 1960's (Sanyo, I think) portable sounded much better. At 5 years old, I was always looking for better sound.
