William: Thanks so much for your compliments. Of course we are simply the messengers to the world, sharing the beauty of Guatemala with those tourists lucky enough to come to Guatemala to see it. Our entire team believes that volcan Acatenango is the most beautiful volcano in all of central america for many reasons. We just feel lucky to have the opportunity to take them up the mighty volcano in a professional and expert way. Thanks again for the positive words. OX

this trip was awesome, I enjoyed it. I think the coolest part was as you climbed you watched the surroundings change like explained at 3:32 with the elevation. I swear when we got around 10,000 ft I was back in Wyoming's big horn mountains.

The Colorado rockies are over 14,000 feet and snow-free during the summer.

Thanks, but I think you get the idea right? Year round. And which active volcano do you watch from the colorado rockies during the summer spew lava below you? You got snow, we got LAVA BABY!!!!

Compared to Agua how hard is it? and how is the road from Chimaltenango to La Soledad?

juanp756 this to me was an incredibly easy hike. On a scale of one to ten I'd have to say 3. But the beauty of this hike is without a doubt a 10. And like I said. Brought to you by OX.

JUANP756, thanks for the questions. Agua is tough but Acatenango is a bit harder. However, if you compare the two volcanoes (Agua vs Aca) there is really no comparison. It is like comparing taking a car to a foreign country or a jet plane, ACATENANGO is definitely the most beautiful and most adventurous volcano between the two. The other question, the highway road form Chimal is passable and mostly paved to La Soledad. But there are easier ways. If you are planning on doing the volcano on your own, just make sure you are prepared with your knowledge of gear and potential dangers. Do not be like the folks who died in January. Adventure is always fun unless you are unprepared. Please let us know if you need help. Contact us through our website, www.oxexpeditions.com

B Pit, for us mortals, it is still pretty challenging. ;) Can we borrow your cape?! ;) Great job killing it on the volcano.

Amazing shots! My big camera was broken when I was there this year, but I could improvise with the go pro. Check my video to get an other perspective.
