    Haha after seeing several videos where they crashed, I was sure they were making bad landing, I think they put landing circular with very little space, and clear ended up in any starry tree.
    Really is a very clear video, not only I get all the doubts I had regarding that, but it motivates me more to buy a parrot :3 I was a little worried about how to land it well, now, everything is more than clear.

    Dear Sir are we talking about 1)height over sea level 2) over ground 3) over start point...that makes a difference in hilly places

      Mazby2 Home point is always set at AGL above ground level from the take off point not MSL. You’ll have to account for terrain in your area.

    Very well done! I have 2 questions I have not been able to find the answers to. (1) When you hand launch the disco, how far does it need to travel in straight line before it starts climbing to reach it's loiter position? Let's say I want it to loiter around the point where I was standing when launched. Would like to know the horizontal distance necessary in order to avoid hitting a tall tree or building etc. (lets say it's 40 foot tree) before it gets high enough to be completely clear of it. (2) At about what altitude does the Disco BEGIN a linear landing? This seems to be determined by the software as it doesn't have a manual preset. Only the altitude for the last way point (the one right before the landing way point) can be preset. Again, this would be to avoid hitting a tall tree, if it's flying over one, to come in for a linear landing. Any insight on this would be great! Big Thumbs Up! Thanks!!!

    Do need the parrot a connection, when he is fly with the plan?
    Or is the flight programmed on the Disco self?

    • @AeroworksProductions

      The flight plan is uploaded to the Disco. No internet connection needed during flight.

    I keep seeing alot of people planning long missions what happens if uour battery drops will it return the home point at a low battery or will it land where it is at critical battery ?

    • @AeroworksProductions
      @AeroworksProductions  4 роки тому +1

      martinsvision Yes the Disco still monitors battery voltage and will return home or cancel the mission on a low battery condition.

    Can you do a disco parrot battery drain test in flying?
    I really appreciate it!!!

    How do you get your units in feet/miles? I'm using Android (Samsung Galaxy S5). Everything in Freflight Pro is in metric and I cannot find where to change the units.

      I too would like to know this. From what I have read so far it isn't possible.

    Altitude ABOVE take off point? All good planning missions at home, but when you get to the field 180 might not have been high enough to clear a building or mountain etc, and you fly straight into it! How can you ensure your altitude settings will be sufficient?

    • @AeroworksProductions
      @AeroworksProductions  6 років тому

      Furious Angels You should always base your RTH altitude higher than the highest obstacle at your area of operations. Sorry if that was not clear.

      Thankyou for responding. Silly question but how can you calculate elevation at flying site, along flight path? Mountains, Trees etc - surely just guessing isn't a safe enough method??

    Learn something new! Great work! Bought the Flight Plan of Free Flight Pro. Setting up waypoint is great but not sure if it can do a photo capture to cover an area, says for the purpose of producing 3D modelling?

    Hi there... I really enjoy your videos...
    And good work, and plenty of time you use. Thanks for that :)
    I have a question! I see many vids of disco crashing, because pilot cant take over the control when landing. The last waypoint is the issue (landing-waypoint). If disco miscalculate the cordinates, pilat cant take over, and crash will happen.
    What if no settings is aplayed on the last waypoint, will the disco cirkel around then, and pilot can manuel landing it, or is that impossible?
    Sorry for my bad english ;)

    • @AeroworksProductions
      @AeroworksProductions  7 років тому +2

      Yes, your choices for your last waypoint are circle (Loiter), circle landing or straight in landing. We have never had any issues taking over control if needed.

    Great video series. Do you need to land after a flight plan, or can you take control back and fly manually? Cheers neil

      The manual says you can "Pause" the mission during the flight although a I have not tested this yet.

    Fly it proof. Fly it every time your missions are nothing unless the 1000 discontinued uav makes it back
