Something that would be useful at your camp. Cardboard, lots of it. I know, not exactly bushcraft, more like trashcraft, but is has so many uses for insulating the ground under your dogs bed, very handy as disposable door mat, great for putting wet/snowy boots on while they thaw out, also handy if wolf wants to sprawl out by the fire near you in the evening. Cardboard is pretty much free if you go to any industrial warehouses and ask them nicely if you can raid the trash. And when you're done with it, you can chuck it on your campfire and send it back to nature. Gary England

On our way home from a Scout camping trip my neighbor called to tell me one of my trees fell. It came 6 inches from hitting my a/c, about the same from hitting the electric box on my other neighbor's property. It sat between our two homes )homes were about 20 feet apart) and only hit the ground. It was bigger round than I could put my arms around. I totally get the excitement of seeing a felled tree that almost hit something.
Can't wait for that full video narrated by Wolfie. I really enjoyed this one. That was freaking close, whoa. But everything is intact and that is turning into one sweet semi-permanent winter camping spot. Peace Out.

I put two or three eggs in a Ziplock bag with a little onion, bell pepper, ham, cheese, salt, pepper and tabasco sauce - mix it up really good and put the bag in a pot of boiling water. Makes a nice western omelet.

Wolfie reminds me of my Husky I had as a kid. She would sleep on top of snow mounds and preferred to sleep out in our unheated 3 season room in the Winter. I am from the North East of the US. Can get pretty cold and snowy here. The only complaint about the video would be that you should have taken the camera along on your hike. Would be cool to see whats around there.

I had a shepherd, and it was the most challenging dog I have ever known. He loved us, and would obey if it suited him, but if he wanted to do something else, you could not control him. He also had an entirely insatiable desire for people to throw sticks, which is only cute for a very short time. Just my 2 cents, but I recommend adopting some mutt at the shelter. I've had much better luck with them in my experience.
I’m trying to find a pillow bag Joe showcased a while back. It was a bag with one side being felt and Joe put his extras clothes in to make a pillow. I thought it came from company in Spain but I could be wrong. Thanks for the help everyone

I'm Canadian, and Joe's accent is VERY Canadian! I laughed so hard at the beginning when he says to Wolfie "Yeah, look at all the snow we got there, eh bud?" I said to my husband, that THAT was about the most Canadian thing he could say!

Not only is coconut oil very good for the heart and entire body, (research) it likes high heat and has a great flavor. Great for camping and will not harm you.

a simple 10 x 10 tarp over the tent will keep all the snow off the tent in A - frame style, works for me lol !
