I think those that dislike this video do not appreciate the craftsmanship going on here, or have the ability to close their eyes and picture themselves being in that yard which is sad for them.

I Love your impressionistic style, wish I could paint that way. In your painting backyard washing I couldn't help noticing the person hanging the wash appears to be further back than the wash. that's because his or her feet are higher in the painting than the base of the base of the wash line pole on the right. this a critique not a criticism. Your palette knife style is still awesome.

Thanks Gennarino, black acrylic paint x 2, mainly to seal the canvas and because I don't have to focus on shadows straight away. It all gets covered over anyway.

Вообще я художник, училась 4 года, но не живописи а русской росписи, и мне всегда было неинтересно учиться, все криво, косо ничиго не получается а хочется сразу взять и сделать как у Томаса Кинкейда. Несколько лет я пробую рисовать маслом, на очень делетанском уровне, акрил тоже начала, но удовлетворения нет, хочется делать какие то волшебные, выразительные работы и вот нашла мастихин, но не понимаю как им работать пока ужас какой-то, я им ковыряю, и нет мазков. А у вас работы и живые и реалистичные и в то же время именно живописные . Но как вы так людей рисуете вообще непонятно!!! Они как живые.... Но самое ужасное что смотрю видео и чувствую себя неудачницей. Типа у меня детские каракули , а все шедевры рисуют

Это просто практика, не чувствуйте необходимости делать все одним инструментом. Используйте все, где требуется и полезно. Если большая кисть лучше - используйте ее, если мастихин даст области нужную вам текстуру, переключитесь на нее и так далее. Это требует времени, терпения и практики, вот и все. Вы попадете туда, где вы будете чувствовать себя комфортно с тем, как вы рисуете, поэтому вы можете сосредоточиться на том, что и почему вы рисуете. Продолжайте идти.

Thanks Lynne. It's an altered size one synthetic brush, I have many that I have kept across the years. I just simple pluck / cut the hairs until it's slim enough or doing what I need it too.
