One detail I like, When Miles opens the present from Peter, the suit is auto set to play Jameson’s podcast, and Miles calls Peter a Masochist, but in this scene, Miles gladly puts on the radio just to hear someone talk crap about him, cuz he agrees since he believes its his fault. Spiderman tradition.

Peter is such a great Mentor. He knows that if Miles really needed him he would ask. He also believes that Miles can truly be Spider-Man in his absence and even exceed him in some ways.

@@eattheboard1684 hell no I hate when movies or shows or games do that, where they tease this sweet costume or suit or gadget or something and then wait until the ass end to reveal it. Like in the daredevil show, literally the whole time I just wanted to see his actual costume and then he only wore it for one episode at the end of the first season or like a video game where you get an upgrade right before the final boss and it’s like “well great now I can only use this for like two levels”. I think it tends to be distracting, there should be a balance between giving it the weight it needs and not being distracting. It worked out ok in daredevil because obviously they had more seasons but still it was nagging me like the whole time I watched season 1

I love this scene so much, and while is similar to Peter's scene in the first game, is also totally different. In spider-man PS4 the new suit scene is a representation of a modern take on spider-man while he is still the same character with his essence, that's why he says "new suit same old me". While in SM Miles Morales this scene is a representation of Miles getting out of Peter's wings, the suit is about Miles stoping being just a sidekick, to be his own hero, to be spider-man. So good

I like how when they’re looking at designs on the computer, a purple and yellow color concept comes up... clearly Miles being influenced by his Uncle being Prowler... but ultimately Miles chooses the black and red color scheme, being his own man

This is easily my favourite scene in all of Miles Morales. Ganke's words are really powerful in this scene, this is one of the only pieces of media that's actually really inspired me to be greater.

@@Knighttt662 yes they are both similar as it’s About Miles but they are two different versions of Miles and Miles story has always been about learning to be Spider Man in his own way but the difference is Miles in spider verse and in the ultimate Comics didn’t have a Peter and Miles didn’t ask to become spider man and when he got his powers it was stressful for him but if you look at this version of Miles he wants to be like Peter so much to the point he feels the only way he can be Spider Man is by being like Peter and it’s because he looks up to Peter to the point he feels he can’t be spider man because he isn’t Peter but he eventually learns Being Spider Man doesn’t mean doing it Peters way but it’s about what does it mean to be Spider Man what does it mean to Miles and understand what it means to him to be Spider Man and instead of trying to be Peter be himself be his own version of Spider Man and this is his time to shine it’s his moment his time not Peters because it’s not about Peter anymore because Miles is also now Spider Man but in Spider Verse it was about coming to terms from a boy who liked Spider Man but when he got the powers he didn’t want them but it’s about accepting it’s his responsibility now that Peter Parker is dead and he is Spider Man and needs to carry the mantle of spider man to protect those dear to him and everyone around him and he is the one and only spider man now where in Spider Verse similar situation he didn’t want to be spider man but overtime he learns that the people need him and it’s about him accepting his responsibility as Spider Man but through out the movie it’s also him learning when he is ready to be spider man hopefully that makes sense so yes they are similar themes in story but also there are differences

But let’s say if we did have a Flash season 10 and it has Barry actually make himself a new suit. That would be a Barry Allen original since it would be the first suit made by him and only him.

After finishing Spider-Man 2….why did insomniac retcon this moment with the “evolved” suit.
I don't even think in this, it's such a stupid way to throw this already great suit in the trash. But i have some issues with this classic suit, mostly the color scheme being way to greyish compared to the Upgraded Suit that we see in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

@@a.0546 Yes it does. MJ went to Symkaria to cover peace talks as part of the Bugle and she brought Peter along as her photographer. As Peter even describes it, it's a "working vacation" and he was confident in Miles' ability to watch over things for a couple weeks.

He knows Miles is lukcy to have a mentor, better that it's from a Spider-man, but some things he won't be able to learn through but experience. Being a hero is not good or fun when it gets serious, and you see that later on as it's all a shock to Miles, expecting more of a fantasy cause no one really knows what Pete goes though except MJ, even then, doesn't scratch the surface through the pain he's gone through.

I'm liking that they've rectified the mistake of making Miles too much like Peter by making him less tech savvy.
I was super worried that this game could end up making people think Peter was redundant and encourage Insomniac to kill him off in the next game, since Miles can inherently do more as Spider-man
But seeing they are still trying to make Miles and Peter unique makes me feel hopeful

and then this whole Miles finally truly embracing the role of Spider-man, Miles Morales is much more than just "another Spider-man" and i'm angry at myself for not realizing this sooner
Lots of us were in the same boat. Miles is now my 2nd favorite Spider-Man, but it wasn’t always that way. I also judged Miles too harshly when he first came out because I resented the fact that they killed Ultimate Peter Parker in the comics to introduce Miles. It took me years to give Miles a fair chance and when I started reading his comics before ItSV came out, I found I actually liked him… but Idk… something felt missing. Then ItSV and this game came out and both touched on the idea of being a hero your own way, and also Miles had his own interest besides the science thing he shares with Peter (art for SV, music for Insomniac Miles)… and Miles felt complete. Before I knew it, as I kept reading Miles comics, watched the movies, and played the game… Miles became my 2nd favorite… behind only the OG Peter Parker himself. Overtime I realized, Miles is not just another Spider-Man… he’s the next generation Spider-Man… and that’s amazing.

Near the end of the game when Peter and Miles meet up on the roof top to destroy a Symbiote nest Miles shows up with his Evolved suit which not only looks bad but also throws his iconic black and red design out the window. Not only that but Miles says that "it's time for a Miles Morales original" as if his previous ones weren't original
@@SuperWarrior64 I mean because it isn’t. Him and Ganke made his classic suit. His evolved suit is a Miles Morales original because that’s his first suit made by him and only him. His upgraded suit was designed by him and Peter
@@tayc9542 valid point there but what about the programable matter suit? Miles made that suit himself. The sportswear suit could theoretically also be a suit Miles made himself after Peter's spider training suit
@@SuperWarrior64 I mean if we are talking canonically then can we really count the programmable matter suit? His sportswear suit is more of a chest with a logo, with a Spiderman mask. I wouldn’t count it as a legit suit

No matter how hard life knocks you down, it's up to you to get back up and show you can be stronger. Fortunately, Miles didn't have to do it alone. He has great friends and family to help him move forward.
Also agree with Pete at the end of the game saying how cool Miles new suit design is.
That entire scene reminds me of how Peter got the Advanced Suit.
