Note about the "Falcon Killer" that I forgot to mention. Falcon will hit the tipper up smash if he is facing AWAY from Marth, and this works at around 90%+. It is not super consistent as a result of DI. DI downwards to avoid this. DI up and you'll die regardless of tipper or not.
Something important when lining it up under a platform is to not align it directly under the opponent. It’s better to offset yourself slightly to the left or right of them to have more chance to get the tipper. Due to the round hitboxes, the sourspot does not overlap as high over the tipper on the sides. You want to hit with the maximum horizontal range of the tipper hitbox basically.
Thanks so much for what you're doing. I think a video on "daily training with Marth" could be really cool, like with his own techniques or the most useful ones with him
Do you ever use the different variations of side b to end into the forward tipper (as in forward, forward, down, forward) or do you typically just do all forward and time the final hit?
With all the great Marth guides one thing I have to know is how to deal with mashers using Marth because my play style is very waiting dependent and waiting to see what my opponent does but they just do moves too fast man
So I’m a Marth secondary for this game’s lifetime. Been playing the character for 5 years now. Ok, so mashers are actually some of my favorite matchups. I’m a waiting player as well with Marth but DO NOT FORGET frame 5 OOS! Dolphin Slash is SOOOOOO important for discouraging mashing. If you don’t use it you will get bullied. When they start touching your shield all but the fastest grounded moves lose hard to dolphin slash and don’t forget this move kills. I usually only need to remind a masher that I have this move 3-4 times before they start backing way off.

I’m glad you did this video. In my opinion most shy away from from Marth because of poor understanding of the character.

I use different variations depemding on the percent damage of my opponent
