I love the theme that the best revenge is to let them go, let them live. Live with regretting all the pain they cost you, all the things they did to you until that hate burns them up all on its own. The concept that this is fine when you know it’s not, her being in the woods and going from being victimized to becoming a full on predator and killing him where no one can watch and judge you, as we all know in the setting we absolutely could give into that animal. Then after she’s blood soaked and he’s gone she realizes even then that wouldn’t satisfy her she so she finally let’s go and tells him I hope you live with this for the rest of your life.
The algorithm brought this song to me on the day it dropped and it's basically been in everyday play, if not multiple replays per day, for me. Love it. How a song can be simultaneously relaxing and stress-inducing is beyond me.
This song came into my life on a day where it literally saved my mental space and helped me pull out of something I did not think I could. Infinitely grateful for it. Instantly one of my favorite tracks
Anyone who liked this song, go listen to the entire album, to which this is the song XI. It is meant to be listened on loop, which explains the abrupt ending - the first song begins as abruptly and through a messy static you are launched through this little cosmic life the band have created for us.
I wish more people discovered this song. It's super powerful and emotive with very few lines. Feel like this would do well mainstream with folks who liked songs like Hi Ren
So excited to see what BLACKSHAPE do next. Only song on the album with vocals, but they just tear through me. Seems like they're working on new stuff right now, possibly with more vocals on the tracks, vocals which are a dude btw! That lady is just in the video, but it works so well.
That song…..literally just broke me for a while and all I could say was “I’m trying”. It’s not….words are hard. Big emotions. I’m happy for you to have found the song and to share it with a wider audience and maybe we can all realize just a little more about how similar we all are. I don’t know what I’m trying to communicate right now. I’m getting a little lost watching again.
The Last Sight Of The Wind, Lesotho, Carved into the Sun, Lucida Dark, Bereft, Caspian, Il Giardino Degli Speechi, Nevermind The Name, Kosatka, Siberia, The Sun Burns Bright, Ison, Distant Dreams are some of the best gems of Post-rock out there. @@19ThreeLions97
I honestly love how the video has a sense of dread with the ambience of the music…I often ponder about death and this song, for me, perfectly captures that feeling…… absolutely beautiful It doesn’t need to have lyrics in but, holy crap…when the song title is sang… it gives me chills and brings a tear to my eyes 11/10 for me
the title of the song is the initials of his letter, is his acronym ITIIITIATIIHYLIHYL If this is it if this is all there is I hope you live If there's no end and we are infinite still, I hope you live
I've always listened to extreme, heavy and fast metal since I was a kid. Only in the recent years have I discovered DSBM and my life has never been the same, in a positive way. Sometimes slow and ambient is needed to fill a certain hole. This isn't DSBM, but still gave me that same feeling. Love it!!
1.7k views eh? Wow. I like that there's vocals that arrive. Not much needed to be said, which sometimes has a more profound effect. I liked the amount that they let out and the amount they held back. Nice video too.... loved the light in the forest.
I liked it but was like I heard this postrock before....then the lyrics hit.....and they HIT! Amazing song. Another sad one : Mortal love - I want to die.
The song title ITIIITIATIIHYLIHYL is made up of the first letters of every word in the first four lines of the lyrics: If this is it If this is all there is I hope you live I hope you live...so yeah, it's an acronym.
It's funny that you mentioned Low Roar, and then Sigur Ros and Radiohead, because when I first played Low Roar for my wife she said it was like Thom Yorke was singing for Sigur Ros. I just heard this song a couple of days ago, and have now listened to their full album twice just today. It's good shit. Definitely post rock/post metal. I put them in the same area as sleepmakeswaves, If These Trees Could Talk, This Will Destroy You, et. al....
When I saw this video for the first time and it came to the resolve after she stops running I literally started crying, it was insane. I can't explain the rush of emotions I felt all at once.
I subscribed because I just found this video and can’t believe your covering it. Awesome. I agree it was great exactly how the engineered it. I know it was slow. But it left me wanting to hear more. Wow.
i found this song when it had just dropped and only had a few views, never heard of the group or anything and was randomly drawn to listen. it’s completely capturing, it kept me there the whole video, so i enjoyed it a bit
Haven’t finished the video yet but thought I’d let you know this is the only track on the album with any vocals on it, makes it feel even more special in context
awesome song. nice build and when the vocals start - really good. i thought it was the woman in the video singing, which is apparently not the case. love this effect. saddest and most depressing yet beautiful song ( not metal or rock, though) is susanne sundfor, when the lord. a feature song for a documentary about norwegian fotographer lene marie fossen, who suffered from anorexia since the early age of ten.
Glorious song, absolutely loved everything about it. I wouldn’t have minded if the drummer went off a bit more during some parts (just my taste as a drummer). 9.5/10 from me!
Anyone interested in hearing more from this artist. Albeit in a very different genre, go check out “Book on tape worm“ he is a freaking genius and a local legend here where I live.
I don't get how it's depressing? The way it comes across to me is whether there's something after this life or not, I hope you live... That seems like one of the most positive and uplifting things I can think of.
This is one of my all-time favourite songs, along with All is Violent, All is Bright by God is an Astronaut, Tout Petit Moineau by Igorrr and Rishloo's Feathergun in the Garden of the Sun. Sometimes a piece of music comes out that's just so amazingly spectacular it has to be shared and this is one of them!
Honestly didnt expect you to react to this since it was pretty small (when i found it at first anyway), glad you did tho. Im sure itll get a lot of traction going after this :)
I love this song so much ... and I don't find it at all depressing. I indeed hope that if this is all there is, I hope you do indeed live. Not survive, but LIVE. That's the most beautiful message I could imagine. (and if that means you gotta murder a few waiters ... well it is what it is :p ).
Chills when the vocal started...wasn't expecting that... EDIT: OH SHIT...I JUST HEARD A LIVE VERSION OF THIS A FEW WEEKS AGO!!! Hahaha...didn't even register at first!!!
I saw this video a few weeks ago myself and was trying to figure out what the song title meant. It's actually an acronym for the lyrics about half way through.
Had the pleasure of working camera department on this, makes me happy to see that it’s gaining much deserved traction🙏🏻❤️
🤘🏼🤘🏼

This is exactly what I am trying to do right now! Let her go , I am still in pain , but one day I'll be able to , and then , I will be free.
The algorithm brought this song to me on the day it dropped and it's basically been in everyday play, if not multiple replays per day, for me. Love it. How a song can be simultaneously relaxing and stress-inducing is beyond me.
Same here, and now it´s the sound of my life
Same bro. I honestly don't even listen to this genre but this song has been on replay every day for like three weeks now.
That's how I found it, too. Truly a masterpiece.
yes yes yes I listen to it many times a week
This song came into my life on a day where it literally saved my mental space and helped me pull out of something I did not think I could. Infinitely grateful for it. Instantly one of my favorite tracks
Never thought anyone would react to this. I love this song so much.
Meeeee toooooooo
They just released a live version yesterday!
Anyone who liked this song, go listen to the entire album, to which this is the song XI. It is meant to be listened on loop, which explains the abrupt ending - the first song begins as abruptly and through a messy static you are launched through this little cosmic life the band have created for us.
Inb4 it's actually song 10/11, from the album as I understand it
Holy heck, did not expect THIS! Wow.. this is so cathartic...
Your breath release at the end, is just like how I felt after watching. The entire album is a great musical build. Great review. I enjoy your channel
I wish more people discovered this song. It's super powerful and emotive with very few lines. Feel like this would do well mainstream with folks who liked songs like Hi Ren
The song gave me goosebumps in the 100°F heat out here.
So excited to see what BLACKSHAPE do next. Only song on the album with vocals, but they just tear through me. Seems like they're working on new stuff right now, possibly with more vocals on the tracks, vocals which are a dude btw! That lady is just in the video, but it works so well.
This track absolutely crushed me, did not expect to cry after the first listen

I discovered this band about a year ago and I'm super happy to see it here. The entire album is amazing!
I love that you’ve expanded into the post rock world. There are SO many gems.
Been a big fan of post rock for many years! But this was definitely a hidden gem 👍🏼
if these trees could talk is one of the better known and best gms probably
The Last Sight Of The Wind, Lesotho, Carved into the Sun, Lucida Dark, Bereft, Caspian, Il Giardino Degli Speechi, Nevermind The Name, Kosatka, Siberia, The Sun Burns Bright, Ison, Distant Dreams are some of the best gems of Post-rock out there. @@19ThreeLions97

11/10 for me
I’ve listened to this song almost everyday, multiple times a day, since I first found it. So good
That bass tone and ambience. But Holy Fork when the vocals come in chills!!!!
It’s been an earworm for me since I got it reccomended on yt a few weeks ago. Glad to see it getting the love it deserves🤘
Wow. This is amazing. 🔥
“Came back to murder. What did I miss?” 😂
the title of the song is the initials of his letter, is his acronym

If this is it
if this is all there is
I hope you live
If there's no end
and we are infinite

Scott Shepherd is a genius.
I'm so happy this song is getting more recognition, it really deserves it
Absolutely over the moon they are getting more and more attention whenever i turn around yasssss
I did NOT expect this wondrous beauty today!! ❤ F’ng wow
When she starts singing. Chills.
you'll be surprised to hear, that's actually a dude
Sarah Santore’s performance is incredible. She owns that moment so perfectly we almost believed it was her singing too.
@@blackshapemusic everything about this, the video and the song, is just perfection, you guys are amazing!
@@blackshapemusic Ah shit Im sorry haha! Im guessing its Scott Shepard? Sounds amazing nonetheless
The algorithm showed me this the day it was released. I was intrigued so I watched it, and was mesmerized trying to figure it out.
What was amazing to discover: the singer is a male member of the band. The actress in the video is only, well, acting.
BROOO! Thanks for this discovery !
The people say "her Voice" Lol. Is a GREAT SONG!! Thanks for react!!
IF THIS IS IT IF THIS IS ALL THERE IS I HOPE YOU LIVE I HOPE YOU LIVE
Now that I realize that the name of the song is the first letter of the lyrics! Just amazing, my gosh, post rock is so damn good!
Deeply reminds me of the Band If these trees could talk! Spheric

225k views in the original upload* I watched a different upload with 1.7 views haha
Gave me real Sigur Ros vibes at the end... listened to the album this is on the other day. Was really vibey and enjoyable
Those views are a crime...Because this was absolutely heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time!
Gives me some Pelican vibes. I'm all about it. Love it.
Nice you actually made a video instead of an reel out of it. Love from pineapple❤️
Man the folks on your stream are really great peeps, and I definitely wanna hop on sometime. Love y'all's vibe.
Every Friday we do Battle of the Bangers at 2 PM EST. Would love to see ya there.
I liked it but was like I heard this postrock before....then the lyrics hit.....and they HIT! Amazing song.

This song is so special. I couldn't believe it was a dude that was singing. The girl was acting, but it seemed like she could have been the singer.
Holy fork is right.
Just figured out, the title is the acronym for the chorus!
It's funny that you mentioned Low Roar, and then Sigur Ros and Radiohead, because when I first played Low Roar for my wife she said it was like Thom Yorke was singing for Sigur Ros. Love that you reacted to this. Saw it a few weeks ago and it blew my mind!
My band recorded at Glow In The Dark studios with Matt Goldman back in the day. It’s amazing the magic that man can help create.
Yeeeees. This was in my recommended vids awhile back and I thought....this looks interesting. Oh boy, I could not have foreseen these emotions.
I subscribed because I just found this video and can’t believe your covering it. Awesome. I agree it was great exactly how the engineered it. I know it was slow. But it left me wanting to hear more. Wow.
I truly can't loop this enough
I'm so glad this song is getting more attention, it's really something special.
This song had me going places. Thanks for the introduction brother.
Man, I love well done post-rock. Thanks for this one Birb!
You should see his live acoustic music! Just here in little Provo Utah! Killer talent in this town.
God bless the almighty algorithm for instroducing me to this band. Instant fan
i found this song when it had just dropped and only had a few views, never heard of the group or anything and was randomly drawn to listen. it’s completely capturing, it kept me there the whole video, so i enjoyed it a bit

For me, this song was parts Pianos Become the Teeth, Rolo Tomassi, Svalbard and Explosions in the Sky. I loved this.
definitely Rolo vibes, minus the vocal crazyness
Ive never heard of this band and I adore 3/4 of those bands, so I’m listening to this tonight lmao
awesome song. nice build and when the vocals start - really good. i thought it was the woman in the video singing, which is apparently not the case. love this effect.

Ive seen this song pop up a few times recently. This was one of my top albums of 2022! Glad you reviewed it!
I hope other reactors will find about that song and Music Video and react to it, it needs more attention
Glorious song, absolutely loved everything about it. I wouldn’t have minded if the drummer went off a bit more during some parts (just my taste as a drummer). 9.5/10 from me!
Agreed
Wow this is so emotional, never heard this before ❤️
This song like many of this sort has a much higher impact on a good system, or high-end headphones, at loud volumes.
Thanks for the recomendation, i love the extreme metal but post black/blackgaze/post-metal also is one of my favorite genre, excelent song 👍
literally made me tear up
This song has shades of Sigur Ros and Working for a Nuclear Free City. Pretty damn cool.
Thank you for this, I needed to hear this

Finally someone reacted to this masterpiece!!!
Yoo this is crazy. The algorithm suggested this song to me a few weeks ago. Listend and loved it.
Honestly didnt expect you to react to this since it was pretty small (when i found it at first anyway), glad you did tho. Im sure itll get a lot of traction going after this :)

Really enjoyed this one! Reminds me of the band Sannhet sans vocals of course. Definitely adding BlackShape into rotation.🖤
This got recommended to me the day it released and I clicked on it because of curiosity and it FLOORED me
I seeeeenntt. IT. Crazy video and song.
Chills when the vocal started...wasn't expecting that...
EDIT: OH SHIT...I JUST HEARD A LIVE VERSION OF THIS A FEW WEEKS AGO!!! Hahaha...didn't even register at first!!!
Listen to Holy Fawn. Similar vibes, and such an underrated band
Man i love some post rock, this takes me back to my highschool years listening a shitload of russian circles
I saw this video a few weeks ago myself and was trying to figure out what the song title meant. It's actually an acronym for the lyrics about half way through.
ITIIITIATIIHYLIHYL = "If This Is It, If This Is All There Is, I Hope You Live, I Hope You Live"
The title is “if this is it, if this is all there is, I hope u live I hope u live”. Hence the confusing title

End of the world watching it burn type of song
thats was nice.. thanks!
Wow I havent got lost in a song in a long time...
Not going to lie -- this reminds me of a group called Sentimental Scenery, the song, "View" -- but with vocals.
Love this.
This song is beautiful holy shit😢
"my you live in interesting times" curse vibes
This gives me Trees of Eternity vibes in the best ways
If you like this, you should definitely check out some Chelsea Wolfe (I’m sure you’re familiar with the name, at least) and Emma Ruth Rundle!
