its been a long time. i remember liking this one and thought the twist was decent, especially after 3. i knew it wasnt great but i just liked it.... but it really has been like 20 years since ive seen it. critters 1 and 2 were amazing and always will be. 3 and 4 are footnotes in those first two's shadows.
Stannis Baratheon for one, screw you for what you did to your daughter! 😉 and for two, I am thinking of doing an Argento a thon and or a Bava one. I recently bought all the Bava kino (and a couple arrow) blu rays and have been wanting to watch them. The transfers on those Kino releases are GORGEOUS! Like seriously stunning. Can’t wait for that 4K suspiria blu ray that’s been in development since 1882!! I also want to do some Fulci since I love his work so much, especially the beyond ❤️❤️❤️
Oh is there a 4k blu ray of Suspiria in production? It's my all time favorite movie, Alien being a close second. But yeah would love to see you do an exploring series on some Argento or Fulci.
Stannis Baratheon yeah they’ve been working on it for years and it’s supposed to be gorgeous. It’s the #1 horror film I want to have a perfect blu ray clean up. With the remake coming soon it will push them to finally release it. I would pay 50$ for the damn thing as long as it was perfect. Can’t wait!!!!
What do you think of the remake's potential? I was honestly horrified at the casting choices, not saying they're bad actresses but it's just people I don't see as being able to portray the characters. Also some of the stills from the production made me shake my head. Feeling like it's gonna be another Oldboy or Martyrs case.
Stannis Baratheon I actually have high hopes. I am a big fan of the cast, especially Tilda and Mia Goth. The director seems to absolutely love the source material and feels like a passion project for him. I think that no matter what it will be rejected by most fans which is so lame but it is what it is. I’ll say this, if the only thing good we get out of this new film is getting the studio to finally release this blu ray of the original then I will be stoked. I think it could be absolutely magnificent if done right so I will wait for a sequel to give any more thoughts but for now I’m very interested.
This is my least favorite the cast is better then 3 but the story is worse.I hated what they did with the bounty hunters character from the other 3.Not because he was evil but simply because there was no explanation for why he was evil.Its like if in Star Wars episode 7 Han Solo was the villain for no reason.I feel like a reboot would help this series similar to Halloween do a film that ignores 3 4 an picks up after 2.
I agree I like the first 2 movies alot though 3 an 4 I would be willing to let go.I all ways wanted a Critters reboot third movie that was in the same town but in the snow on Christmas.
