    The amount of value I gained from discovering ur channel is actually insane. Not only have I learned how to study properly and got into med school, I also discovered a lot of books and other channels that will probably shape my future in a more positive way. I know that I’m not the only one who feels this way so I’d like to collectively say: Thank you, you handsome and charismatic beast :)

    • @rev_5728
      @rev_5728 4 роки тому +14

      Adeniyi Salami The shots look very nice and it looks like really profesional, however, youtube is already oversaturated with medics documenting their weeks of med school etc and its gonna be very difficult to actually make it big, because we have to also take into consideration, that there is not a lot of people applying for medicine. Also, Alis advice for new youtubers is to just generate a lot of videos regerdless of their imprefactions= you dont want to be spending a lot of time on one video if you dont have the audience base that can get that video trending. My advice would be to make videos that will be atracttive even for non-medics. Ali made it big by making videos about study tips=this applies to not just medicine, but to all students and its generally something people look up online. I think he got that idea from reading a book called Make It Stick, so you can try to do the same but with something else, but its gotta be something that isnt in the mainstream already.

    • @rev_5728
      @rev_5728 4 роки тому +5

      Adeniyi Salami np bro, good luck with everything. I should also add that you should think sbout the reasons why you wanna make videos. You need to have a clear mindset and know why youre doing what youre doing. Many times, people just copy what other people are doing but they never stopped to think if they really like it

    Summary
    Lesson 1: You miss 100% of the shots that you don't take
    Lesson 2: You have to accept failure and rejection
    Lesson 3: You have to do the stuff that you enjoy
    Lesson 4: Do not ''be yourself''. Make yourself instead
    Lesson 5: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is
    Lesson 6: Use your unfair advantages
    Lesson 7: Find a way to turn failures into positives
    Nevertheless, do watch the video, because those are the keypoints but he is really going into them with his stories and you might get something different from his words. It's worth it.

    "If too good to be true, then its probably too good to he true." this reminds me of a quote I came across in Sidney Sheldon's If Tomorrow comes. The whole theme of the book is based on a statement that " you can't con people unless they are greedy to begin with"
    What I got from this video is that you consistently make efforts, recognize mistakes and actively work on improving yourself...and you actively choose who you were becoming as you age.
    One thing I've learned from most of videos is your presentation skills. You don't use difficult grammers, your body language is positive and generally charismatic.
    Make a video on how you speaks so eloquently and get others to listen to you. I actually did watch this video until the end and that may friend, Is impressive.

    Inspiring talk :) I enjoyed the genuine self reflection, very relatable since I’ve had my share of “lessons learned”. As cringeworthy as they were, however, I can’t help but admit that these embarrassing events have shaped who I am.... it can be the fastest way to change your ways, but I think a more vital part of it is eventually getting back up and starting down a fresh path. Simply dwelling on past failures is debilitating. But once you learn from them, you turn them into small wins. Such as you have done here by sharing these stories, I think it brings you past them and they end up shaping the big wins in your life. Thanks for sharing!

    I think you are the first guy I've witnessed admitting to having once participated in a scam, lol! Hearing you look back on how much you've changed over the years is fascinating as well! It's always amazing to see people pursuing what they love and enjoy and actually see the tangible value in that!

    I appreciate your candor and humor with failure and obstacles, I think resilience and lessons learned are not valued enough, and some focus to literally on themselves as being a failure rather than learning, improving and moving forward.

    I am the same age as Ali. I have two kids. However, all his endeavours and hard work starting at such a young age fills me with so much regret. I feel I just wasted my teenage years when my parents provided for everything. Please take advantage of your teenage years guys, it’s so precious.

    I enjoyed this episode! It’s a taboo subject to talk about in a time where social media platforms show successes without the before failures. It perpetuates society with an unreal life lens. This helps me adjust my mindset to take more risks and know it’s okay to fail and learn. I too have had more than my share of rejections and failures. I enjoy your content Ali! Keep being you.

    I'm amazed at the many things you tried when you were younger. Unfortunately at that age, my family began having problems and my thoughts were elsewhere. Your headmaster was very wise to be upfront. You are also wise yourself to begin challenging yourself at a younger age.
