I use the Xi pouches and they are incredible. I thought you just had to deal with pouches that move but these are rock solid. Double Alpha is absolutely worth the premium!
While I appreciate your being cognizant of cost, I think that it’s understood that a person’s hobby/sport is going to be expensive in some areas. We accept that as quality products are not inexpensive. I love your content and the education you provide folks getting into competitive shooting. Much appreciated!
I run DAA Xi mag pouches. I used to run Racers (which I loved) but they would fatigue and break regularly due to the mount set-up. The Xi and XiP pouches fix that issue. I have been so happy since I swapped. It was not a cheap change but the value is there if you are regularly dry firing and having freqent live fire and matches.
Great video. Good thing you added that double Alpha footage. I was completely unaware of them just as a company. Very detailed on the mounting and the options it offers. Torx is a good idea. I hope someone doesn't go over the top tightening them. The material looks good. I think I'd rather land on one of these and not on a steel pouch if I should trip badly.
I have the aluminum versions. I have roughly 9 months on them. The only thing I have bad to say about them is I had some issues with the tensioner piece coming out partially. I have not had one come all the way out and when you push it back down it does click and lock back in place. I will probably pick up a few of the plastic ones for my 3Gun belt. I bought the aluminum ones before the plastic was available.
For Production, is there a max distance the mag pouch can stick out away from your belt? I thought I saw something on that. I have my first match coming up and don’t want to be out of compliance. Would these mag pouches be legal in production? Thanks!
I currently shoot single stack steel challenge with a Safariland system and welcome the USPSA changes as to mag placement. I am considering open division with my new XC. Any thoughts on a mag setup to run in both divisions. How many mags/magnets? Prefer not to buy two independent systems. Great videos!
three pouches is max what you need in open - with a magnet for pick up - or you could do a Henning T900 magnetic mag pouch type system for your front pouch and then whatever for the others.
What material is the ball and clamps of the ball joint made of? Does the clamp put even pressure on the ball or just in some spots? Will the ball deform after tightening is down properly, like on the Race Master, making later small adjustments difficult?
It’s a collar that cinches down on the ball for nearly 360 degrees - the ball is like Felton and the collar is aluminum - if the ball were to deform it looks like you could replace it cheaply / easily
Im new to USPSA and I’m looking for mag pouches for my Canik Rival. I grabbed a couple by black scorpion gear cause i heard good things but I’d like to know your opinion. Will BSG mag pouches work with my Canik SFX Rivals mags and if so are they good?
Liked video and that rig looks very serviceable! Hey just a word about GX4 Trigger/take down screw problems. A video made by a fella stating a no bang with his new GX4. Thinking that had something to do with the take down screw and guide rod? After the no bang attempts to holster and gun gies off missing big toe by inches! He obviously isnt very knowledgeable about handling loaded firearms and fail to fire! But he felt somehow the striker was activated by the take down screw assembly? Long story short there have been other GX4 fail to fire and Taurus taking some back to inspect GX4 cause! FYI
personally - no. Understanding how the pouch is put together - does an aluminum pouch body do anything better than the plastic one? I don't think so - personally.
I am definitely a 'buy once, cry once' kind of a guy....and have been crying a lot since I started buying kit for IPSC.

I went from the CR Speed pouches to these and love them!
"Don't watch the video it was before I was world class"🤣🤣👍👍
I only watched this to see if you would work in "ultimate Racer". I was not disappointed.

The pouches seem solid
Can you please help me figure out how to swap the spacers to the single stack adaptor. I cant figure it out for the life of me

Thanks for the review, I have been looking for a new mag pouch.
Before I was using gost , now I’m happy to use DAA

I actually cancelled an order with CR Speed to get these. Do you recommend plastic over the aluminum?
Great review. Ordered!
I run the xip... great pouches. Definitely some issues with the tension spring popping out time to time
had that happen to me on my range trip using them. still like them
3:37 Best animated movie of all time! 😂
can you use these in IDPA today or nah
I like the true to size mag pouches such as CR speed versa more as I always found the other pouches a bit bulky to my liking. Just for me.
How is the comfort on the belt?
Wish I'd seen these before ordering 5 pouches from CR Speed.

If it’s a club match you will be fine - take a business card and the mag must be the short dimension from your body

If these mag pouches, are in fact endorsed by 16x World Champion The Nature Boy Ric Flair, I am ordering them now. Wooooooooo4Life! 'Merica!
Hey there, can you tell me if Glock 48 mags fit in these?
All I get is audio? I’m gonna reload…that fixed it! I see you went full America 🇺🇸🤙
Hi! I’m a right handed shooter. On my belt, should the bullets in my bag be racing clockwise or counterclockwise? I.e. bullets pointing left or right
Clockwise

They will work but I haven’t tried them - I suspect they are fine
This may be a noob question, but why would one pick the aluminum pouches over the plastic XiP ones?
Dunno
@@TheHumbleMarksman your anawer says it all xD
So you can use the magnet🤔
Aluminum is stronger than aluminum. The plastic on metal connection is the weak point of the pouch.
@@ctc2469 You can use a magnet on the XiP as well

Checking into this
Arex zero 1 review or thoughts??
I am hoping they do the Alpha in optics ready and holding out for that
Buy once, cry once... your opinion on DAA XiP or Guga Ribas Mag Pouch?
Tough. Both are excellent - give the nod to XIP due to weight and simplicity
Are those checkmate mags????? 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Bul mags
Now a discount code for these would have been even nicer...
What do you think I am just made of discount codes?
@@TheHumbleMarksman LOL!
Sorry buddy my vote goes to Ricky Bobby LOL

Do you think the price difference is worth buying the XI instead? Buy once cry a lot🤣🤣

@@TheHumbleMarksman thanks a bunch really appreciate it.
Ok that’s not a name that rolls of the tongue.
3 mag pouches for Open division makes me feel like you really need to understand Open division LOL
One to hold the starting mag, the reload and the insurance policy
@@TheHumbleMarksman Reload?
I reload if it’s over like 26 even tho 30

Sounds like pops quest has never shot a 32 round stage 🤔.
