Thanks for pointing out the trash left behind by previous tenants. Took my son on an adventure last week. First camp we found a bucket with feces and soiled toilet paper stashed behind a large rock. Absolute pigs need to stick with San Francisco’s style camping. We don’t need that in the wilderness. Reluctantly packed it on the way out in the bed of my truck, rubber gloves and a bandanna over my nose. Tossed it in a dumpster when I got back to town. I’m losing faith in humanity.

Brother, how and why you get out in this video is exactly why I overland as well. I dig your style of no pretentiousness, no forced images of macho rock climbing. Which to me isn't the true beauty and soulful purpose of overlanding. In addition, you do a great job with camera shots and narration. This video of yours is by far of all the folks I folllow.

I used to drive truck in the oil patch in northern Alberta, Canada and let me tell you....the mud was NEXT LEVEL. It's no joke being stranded out in the middle of nowhere because the road is impassible due to mud. I was also amazed at just how quickly it all dried out when the weather turned better. The roads can go from an absolute nightmare to just fine in a matter of hours.

Exploring the Oregon Owyhee Canyonlands in a Bronco sounds like an amazing adventure! The Canyonlands offer such a diverse and stunning landscape, perfect for overlanding. The sense of freedom and connection with nature you get when you're out there, navigating through those beautiful terrains, must be incredible. Oregon's natural beauty is truly a gem for adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts. Enjoy your journey and the unique experiences that come with such an exploration! 🏞🚙✨

    G'day from Oz!
Stumbled across the channel today and wow, the Owyhee area looks simple stunning. Added to the bucket list...
    The fire pit scene.
    YES!
Can not fathom how people seem to believe fire will 'delete' their steel or aluminium cans from the environment. This is one thing I'm passing on to my son, ALWAYS leave a campsite cleaner than you found it.

This video perfectly tells why I LOVE living in washington, I've got the cascades immediately to my east and Oregon landscapes to my south and Canadian to my north plenty of solid surf to my west. There is seriously no shortage of breath taking views that genuinely leave me dumbfounded and speechless. It is truly and blessing and a curse to be so gifted to live in the areas I do. Granted there are less than desirable qualities and political issues in my local area, but the landscapes are worth fighting for.

The intro was felt deeply. Been feeling that way recently and took in overlanding the past year for another path out. Some of my best adventured were in Eastern OR. Strawberries, Alvord, Owyhee over a span of eight years. The best part was waking up to wild horses roaming around camp and absolutely nobody around. I ended up going from full over landing rig to a dual sport and tent setup so I could cover more ground. A lot of people don’t “get it” but that’s good. The less people out there the better I say.

You couldn’t tell in the video, but that “grassland” was a dispersed campsite with two fire rings. So it was fine to drive on.
According to the BLM you can drive 300 feet off designated road when going to a campsite. I was going around a calf, not looking for a campsite, but in an effort not to disturb animals (treads lightly) I chose to put two of my four wheels off the designated trail.

It's pretty obvious you do. Tough area to explore, especially with the rain...I'm kinda surprised you didn't get stuck in the mud...which is a good thing, obviously...Half expected you to check out 3 forks, but it's hard to do it all. You seem like a cool dude and I wish you all the best in the future, and will watch for some future videos once you have good grasp on those Falken R/Ts to see what your experience with those are, and perhaps comparison with AT3W's.

Awesome video!! Owyhee Canyon and Succor Creek are out of this world!! Can't say enough about how beautiful eastern Oregon is. I use youtube to find places to overland. so I am very guilty!!! But I wish some places were still secret. 🙂

Right!? This area is freakin wild!! I wish I was less transparent about where I was in this video honestly. I never do that, but this seemed like such a well known spot I didn’t really see the harm. But either way, the mystery of these location is half the fun!

Glad you enjoyed it! It’s such an epic spot. Please be respectful of the farm land and leave the area better than you found it. I’ve had a few comments of people telling me that the last few years there’s been a lot more people coming in and trashing it (not that I saw that really when I went) but I would hate to see that area to start to get shut down

Loved the video! I'm a big fan of southeastern Oregon and try to spend a week down there every summer. Funny story, but I camped in the same Succor Creek spot you did with a group in June of last year. Oddly there was a big pit dug in the middle of the site when we got there that wasn't in your videos. The water level was lower and we made a hammock village down over the river. Lovely spot.
Did you approach the hot springs from the West side of the Owyhee? That's wild. I know there are routes to do that, but I've always come in from the Jordan Valley side. That area is worth spending a few days at. Float down from the hot springs to the camp site; it's great.
Two things I'd add to your itinerary if you do this again. First is Iron Point. It's south of Birch Creek Ranch. Truth be told, I haven't made it there yet myself. It's been on the itinerary the last two summers and just hasn't happened, but it looks amazing. Second spot is the Alvord Desert. Definitely worth checking out.
Thanks again for the video. It was inspiring for me as I plan my trip for this summer.

I really enjoyed this video. Maybe I can get to see some places like this some day in my Bronco. Also, the fact you clean up after others disgustingly ignorant trashing of nature is amazing.
Your kids will grow up to be fabulous humans like you. Subscribed, liking and following for sure! (also the cinematic content is very good!) Thank You.
