A bit of travel advice, for your future trips: When taking a long flight, wear your most comfortable clothes - loose fitting, warm (planes get cold on long flights), easy to put on or take off in a confined space (like in your seat or in the plane's restroom). When you arrive at the destination airport, go to the airport restroom and change into your nicer clothes (which you should have in your carry-on luggage) before going to immigration. As you noted, the immigration & customs process goes smoother, if you are more neatly dressed - but there is no need to wear those clothes during the entire flight!
Congrats on your first (but not last... lol) solo trip to another country! I can already tell from your bright smiling face on the video that you are going to be one of those people who really enjoys the absolute freedom, and adventure, of travelling solo! Always remember that your time & itinerary are completely your own now, so if you want to make a change - perhaps to stay a bit longer at some place you are really enjoying, or to go to a place that wasn't in your original plan - just do it! Have fun, travel safe and eat well! There is a lot of fantastic food in Taipei - be sure to try the dumplings and the beef noodle soup (a Taiwanese friend of mine swears by the stuff). They also have a lot of great desserts - I personally like the pineapple cake and taro pastry. :)
Thank you so much! I absolutely love freedom and being able to do things on my own. I'll remember your recommendations :) Unfortunately, there was a typhoon when I got there, so I couldn't completely explore Taipei, but I plan to return someday!
I love travelling solo, but the hotel cost is too much to bare alone. I have been to Hong Kong alot but not once did I went there alone, hotel there is ridiculously expensive.

Ey thanks! Bangkok to Taipei was only 4 hours long, so it wasn't that bad. I'll keep this in mind for longer flights :)
