Hi! This was my first time in Laos, so I can't really give recommendations except from my own experience and research. If you want to get a Thai Non-B visa, Vientiane or Savannakhet are the top choices in Laos. A colleague got her Non-B visa in Malaysia as well, so that's another option. If you know what the requirements are, you don't need to go through an agency. I personally wouldn't go through an agency next time. It's cheaper and you get to choose your own accommodation. I just got an agency because it was my first time and I wanted to ensure my documents were complete. Good luck and have a safe trip!
