  • I came across 2 mowing heads for my Caterpiller 308. One is a brush cutter and the other is a flailmower. I had been looking to get one or the other for a while now. I was perusing FB market when, lo and behold, I came across an ad showing that I could get both for the price of what one usually sells for. If figured they were manufactured in China and would be of lower quality than american built. But, for the price, I had to check them out. I researched what information was out there on the internet and watched videos that already existed on UA-cam. The flail mower feels pretty solid, but the brushcutter is a little on the light side. But, we'll see how they hold up over time. This video is just getting them prepped to mount on the excavator. I'll post some working videos soon.

id notch all those covers where the grease fittings are and then make a plate that held on with a bolt to cover those spots to keep the junk out

You don’t have any other trailer to put your cat 308 on to bring it home that’s crazy because every trucker I know has at least more than one lowboy in their fleet of trailers and they also have spare tires on hand as well maybe you should look into replacing all the tires on your lowboy trailer before using it again because if one tire goes flat they’ll all go flat

Always cut your steel at joint to have longer pieces of scrap steel. Never know when you can reuse them.

I got plenty for you to do down here. You can brush cut around the whole lake. How's Sgt . Green Hulk is doing behind you. Were you ever able to figure out what was going on with the transmission?

No seize paste on those mounting bolts.

That’s all going to change next week. I’m also going to upgrade to grade 8 bolts. They all worked loose after a couple hours of heavy cutting

Make sure your valve in the battery/radiator compartment is in the one-way flow position. ua-cam.com/video/16gVNcf0Bdk/v-deo.htmlsi=J6fl-BfFWspQ3ldd. It may be in a different location than the one shown in the video. If it is the same as mine, it’ll right in front of you between the hydraulic reservoir and manifold when you open the door.
