I understand Cory frustration at the beginning saying that he wants everyone to be together and shawn took the job. But saying what he said at the end saying Shawn would never get into Yale was truthfully uncalled for. Shawn used to been an insensitive jerk, now its Cory for the later season, smh. I like Cory but that's the one bad aspect about him, and is that he doesn't realize what he said until after he SAID it.
Shawn was always my favorite because his story line was realistic. Cory was really annoying; when you love people you let them do what they want not control them.
The funny thing is with his significant academic skills that he hides on purpose to not seem dorky, i.e. his superior writing skills and the unusually hard life he's lived, Shawn would probably have no problem getting into Yale on full scholarship if he actually tried in the SAT and his college application essay. He's the smartest and most worldly of the lot by far, but everyone on the show treats him like he's complete garbage and he buys into it sadly.
Tbf there is one episode where Feeny tries to get Shawn to realise he’ll really excel in college it’s just his own self doubt that’s stopping him! Shawn was always destined for more but he didn’t believe in himself, I think that’s why when we see him go to college and reveal his true intellect it’s such a beautiful change because we’re seeing the real shawn that believes in himself 🥹
Cory didn’t even apologize about that comment. He went to the photography studio and Shawn was just cool with him again like wtf. Shawn was a great friend, Cory didn’t deserve.
Cory was always besides shawn whatever happened in his life.....he had a habit of butting in others life but he cared about shawn always......i dont know how you come up with "he didnot deserve him" lmao
@@moonie1825 Agree here, unfortunately Corey really displayed some narcissistic tendencies throughout this show. Not apologizing for hurt they cause is a huge characteristic of narcissism.
It’s sad how Topanga felt she couldn’t apply to her dream school cause she was with Cory. (When she said she applied when her and Cory weren’t together)
Okay cory acts like he and shawn were just some high school friends, instead of people who have known each other their whole lives. My best friend and I have went grade school and high school together, and then separate college. We still talk alot and have a great friendship. All you have to do is put in the work to maintain it....
Here we got the side I despise the most about Cory being outshined as crazy. Changes are scary and during the transition between highschool and college in their pic. Now that doesn't give him the right to go that crazy about it, to the point of actually giving himself the right to decide for others lives. And if that was just that, in here he shooted two birds in one : as always demeaning Shawn capacities and decisions first implying he'll never be able to make it in Yale and after trample on his possible decision to take the job. And let's not even talk about and his jerky insensitive attitude towards Topanga. Frankly, thank God Angela was there to harmonize all this and actually being a considering and supportive best friend and girlfriend towards both Topanga and Shawn. I think she was the missing piece to that trio, she's the pragmatic relax chill one putting some peace, realness and sassiness on their lives when one of them goes crazy or extreme. Her presence is priceless and actually offer us an outstanding foursome.
ok im sorry but why is nobody talking about what a jerk cory was being to topanga? i mean he ignored her, hurt her feelings, and made her feel like second best.
He's a jerk I really dislike him. I think he's selfish, spoiled, rude, insensitive, self centred and a bad friend and bad boyfriend. He doesn't deserve Topanga and Shawn
@@sofivalenzuela8374 His character was always that way but they made him worse as the years went by...I don’t know if it’s true but I’ve heard Ben Savage is a prick in real life which is fucked up seeing how they made an episode where Eric went to a knock off version of Boy meets world where all of them were playing themselves but fucked up in the head with names that sounded like their real names but not exactly I do kind of wonder how fucked up in the head they all are in real life💯
@@mikefisher4834 lol Cory is not a jerk, Cory was just clearly on the spectrum. A lot of people on the spectrum come off as jerks but that's because most people don't have enough patience to understand what's really going on.

I’m sorry but Cory was being a jerk in this episode, he completely ignored what Shawn wanted and he only cared that Shawn did what He wanted him to do, he also didn’t even care that Topanga didn’t get into Yale and acted like it didn’t matter, Shawn should be able to make his own decision
It was a weird reflex where he was trying to comfort her by telling her she had a better shot than other people while it was still a challenge for her…but instead it left a sour impression that didn’t get a follow up.
I know that the show kind of had to keep everyone together to make a show but it's extremely unlikely that all of your friends will end up going to the same college. First few seasons of BMW took real chances to talk about real life issues and I feel like the later seasons was just comic relief with characters so dumbed down that a doctor would've scanned their brains to make sure that they're not brain dead. Shawn was the only character who started out below average but then later became smart, intelligent, and independent whereas Cory and Eric started out as average-ish and then got downgraded to troll-level buffoons.
In the early seasons Corey tried to fit in and be one of the cool guys, I guess. Then in season 3 and beyond he became weirder than Topanga was in season 1.
Ikr! So many shows do this. BH 90210. Saved by the bell. Buffy the Vampire slayer. Fresh Prince. I think Dawson's Creek was one of the only shows were everyone didn't go to the same college.
She needs to go to jail try semester. And Shawn needs to take that job and also give it a year. And take some college credits and transfer them back to the school if he chooses to go
Yes. But he doesn’t know how to chill. He’s like Sheldon from Big Bang Theory: the second anything changes, even the smallest thing, he spins out of control and makes it out to be the end of the world.
"If I was your father, Shawn, I'd SPANK YOU!" - one of Cory's best lines on the show!
