The author alluded to wondering why the TT has an S-Shape Tonearm and not a straight arm. The S-Shaped Tonearm supports Stevenson alignment, which does not require a protractor to get perfect alignment, just eyeball that cartridge is square with headshell and set stylus to headshell tail distance from TT manufacturer's recommended setting, about 52mm. For those that want perfect alignment without any need to align the cartridge in headshell, this standard tonearm also supports pre-aligned cartridge/headshell configurations.
hey man, I think I've seen you say this in a few videos about how pressing both of the 33 and 45 buttons puts the table into 78. Are you talking about new technics or old technics? The entire line of the old 1200's never did that, only the new ones have it.
Wouldn't you just quick press the quartz lock to get to zero and then bring the pitch back to zero? I've tried these and don't like the dead spot around zero.
Hi, i purchased it before 2 weeks, nice turntable, cool leds but for me personaly not as i expected it to be. Gap space in pitch control i don't like , it sais it's 8+,16+...i would like to see the numbers like on Technics or Pioneer...First i thought it's 10+ but i saw it's a gap from 0 till almost second 2nd mark line which is normaly supossed to be under number 2 like some other turntable like technics, reloop and pioneer plx have clearly marked...so i never knew where i stand with it...Also on Reloop 7000 and pioneer plx start and stop button respond is better ...Tonearm main assebly is wobbly, after i locked it ,it's stable and not moving but you can still turn the ring height adjustment which i didn't saw yet on other turntables. Denon support respond me on pitch control : The lines on the pitch control don't pertain to a specific pitch percentage but are more of a point of reference for the user. As for the gap between 0 an 1, this is a feature which acts as a sort of 'buffer zone', allowing the user to be sure they are back at 0% without pin-point precision"
Wouldn't it be redundant to have pitch lock while changing speed on a turntable since that's a software feature, and if you're using a turntable as a controller you're already interacting with a computer and can just click the button there? It's not like that works with vinyl, and if it did the turntable would need a processor that cost more than a high end laptop.
You could but most controllers have a pitch lock button as well to minimise the need to be on your computer, would be a cool additional feature on a forward looking turntable such as this one
It works i had a numark ttx1. Like zip mode on a pioneer efx 500. Not sure if u can go up to +50 pecent than lock it than go -50. My numark would make some fantastic sounds.
the design is nice, pretty led, but don't see the point to put every side control/cable on the side of the mixer for a scratch position and at the same time not putting 2 start/stop on both side, and a straight arm. Also that motor off thing seems to be nice with a unprotection bouton like on a MK2 but here is kind of useless and even worse, it can make some beat juggling technique using the motor off impossible to realise (or it can but it add some time of reaction) That still a good turtable, seems to have nice isolation, but it sad that they try to make something scratch DJ oriented but didn't go as far as other brands like Reloop (or Vestax & Numark some years ago). All the good thing here looks more like fashon gadget than real innovation or even using what's almost kind of a standard in that market :/
Man, if they just wouldn't slap the ugly graphics all over them. They would also serve as decent audiophile turntables. But I'm not buying a turntable that resembles a NASCAR race car.
i bought one fof home HI-FI use just to see how they compare to my other turntables. If you can put up with the ugly graphics they won't dissapoint. They sound almost as good as the Technics SL1200g and they cost well under half the price, if you shop around - I paid £413. It embarrassed a few belt drive audiophile decks
I had two pairs of technics mk2 but I do luv my reloop....

why use a strobelight if the platter doesnt have those indictor bumps? just for the "feel"?
I have 4 of the turntables and 2 of the sc5000 prime media players and the X1800 prime mixer i love them
Awesome setup!
I wonder if its change the color on a mixer cue buton? om. x1850
I was able to use this at last years dj show in AC. they are great
That's fantastic :)
Yeah they've been knocking around for a while now haven't they? We saw one at ADE 2 years ago!
I had the earlier Denon DJ TT from the early 2000s. That wasn't very good compared to SL-1200. This looks to be a lot better.
Can you run the Denon turntable through a pioneer controller ?
Wouldn't you just quick press the quartz lock to get to zero and then bring the pitch back to zero? I've tried these and don't like the dead spot around zero.
Hi, very good video. Can you please tell me, the wall panels for diffusion behind you, what brand is? Thank you for your time and attention.
No idea, sorry - we got them from a DIY store in Spain!
@@digitaldjtips Thank you for your reply.
why they insist on using that detachable target like? reloop 7000mk2 made the same mistake and ruined the look of that intersting model
comrade what song is playing on your record?
Cosmos - Take Me With You.
@@digitaldjtips Thank you!
I want to learn turntabling at home and I'm on a budget which turntables do you recommend?
Second (third, fourth lol) hand Technics perhaps? :)

Good first-hand feedback, thanks Gordan!
So, when you long mixing near zero position is far more inconvenient compared to any other TT.

Can I get the name of the track please.
Cosmos - "Take Me With You"
Wich table the v12 is sitting on
My guess is it isn't anything brand name - they probably had it built (or maybe it's from IKEA...) --- Lauren :)
It's built from the ground up there own design
Great review Phil
Please can you let me know the name of the tune playing as it sounds wicked!
Ha ha it's an old classic, Cosmos - Take Me With You. I remember playing it as a New Year's Eve midnight tune one year...
Many thanks Phil
You just made my day.
Tune!
Platter material is aluminium die-cast. Metal controls and tone arm base :)
It's metal
Does it ever skip, or does it never skip? My technics never skip no matter what the juggle. The weight included scares me.
Haven't been able to stress test them to a point where we'd be able to tell you for certain one way or the other
👍🏾
Yeah, they look dope! What's the name of the tune being played? Bad Ass!!!!
Tune is Cosmos - Take Me With You 🚀🚀🚀
The pitch isn't digital, its digitally controlled.

I guess it's the DJ aesthetic... most DJs don't mind it.
