Honestly, I loved every one of these performances! I especially loved Tomoya, Yuhi, Yuki and Yu in these but everyone was really good. And here the leadership talent definitely began to show. Some of the chosen leaders in this first team mission did not live up to the expectations (I for example feel like Sodai wasn't the best choice since Yuhi pretty much had to take it for him... but there is definitely nothing wrong with that since a team needs just one leader in the end and not everyone is a leader material) while others really shined in this new role (like Tomoya or Haru). Looking forward to the next episodes! You are in for a plenty of other excellent performances! :)
Leader Tomoya always makes me cry this ep 😭 I loved this, thank you so much for the double reaction! Everyone improved so much and I can't wait for you to get to part 2! There are many more GREAT performances to come!

The pace that you're putting these out at is perfectly fine, in my opinion. An hour of a show a week is pretty standard. So Ken does feel more Ayaka than Mayuka to me, because rather than unexpectedly come out of nowhere and objectively out-perform others in terms of skill, you can tell that they favor some intangible quality that he has and maybe lower their standards/limit his parts for that reason, and he did well relative to that. I also find it strangely reassuring that they seem consistent about giving a shot to these types of "less skilled but natural/interesting" contestants, despite So Ken not necessarily having the clear looks advantage that others in this category like Ayaka had (not that he looks bad or anything). It's also definitely interesting/rare to see the contestant who totally dominates and feels like leader material in these shows to also be a totally silly goofball.
I agree, there were definitely some lowering standards for ken bcs it seems like jyp really wants him in the final group, I don't mind it tho bcs he did improve at the end of the day like Ayaka (+ fun personality). also about the looks I had to disagree, I think ken is one of the more handsome contestants lol

imo he just couldn't, he is the best vocalist in the show but for some reason his presence on the show is not as strong as Nina/miihi.
