Once you get the pilot hole drilled, stop and put the drill in reverse you'll get a cleaner cut and it won't grab and twist out of your hand when cutting plastic.
Those feeder ports are handy but I had to hang a stainless mud pan in my Marans coop to accommodate my boys. With those big thick rigid combs of theirs they can't get their heads in them. Just had to mount the pan high enough for the boys to reach but not the girls.

Also use the clutch setting on your drill too and you won't hurt your wrist.

Run your Hole saw in reverse when cutting plastic. It will give you a cleaner cut.
