Gun hunt just for the nostalgia. Bow hunt to actually hunt.
3rd season into hunting and bow hunting, love the info y'all provide! Learned HARD the last two season that we need morning and evening stands. Looking forward to putting this into practice this year! Thank you for the great content!!
Your camera work on the doe eating was just beautiful. Love to watch em.
Thanks Jeff. Amazing how quickly opening day comes.
It flies so fast...
Absolutely! Strategic intel and taking the higher probably opportunity. Hunting is more about being patient how to hunt than sitting in the stand LOL. God bless Jeff and good luck to your whole family!
Another great video, just watched it from Montgomery Minnesota working the pipeline, can't wait to get back to Pennsylvania to see my fall food plots
thanks man this helps a lot
Opening day will be here before you no it. I use to hunt mornings alot early season when i was younger. Yes I’ve shot does and small bucks. Now i usually hunt evenings early season. But i no alot of guys that kill deer early season in the am. Great video
Morning is the best time to hunt the White Oaks because the heavy morning dew makes the acorns just A little heavier and they tend to fall more at day break .... and I've seen A nice buck once just standing by one of my white oaks waiting for the acorns to fall at about 9 am ....the white oak acorns get scarfed up as soon as they fall
I have a few stands that i sit in when i just want to be out in the woods in a stand and just see what comes by. I have a couple stands i use when i feel conditions are just right and i have a target i think will be there.
Thanks Jeff
1:40 in your (how to hunt pre rut) video you emphasize hunting the beds in the morning “great opportunity to hunt those bedding area rut stands” you said, so what changed your mind?
Opening morning for me is when conditions are right, not a specific date.
Great strategy!
Hi Jeff. Maybe you've done this and I haven't found it yet, but if you haven't, could you please make a quick video on tips for hunting a pine / hardwood mix area? The soil is a sand / dirt mix with some vegetation, but it seems to be a high traffic area for deer, fox, racoon and turkey.

😁👍👍
Interesting about the oaks by you…they were loaded last year in central wi now this year just a few acorns on my land
Lets gooooo
Amen!!
Deer season was a whole months away. Now that you've said that it feels like it's tomorrow and I can't get to it for four weeks. 🤣
Depends on the weather on opening day here in iowa if it’s hot stay home no fun and I’m not shooting a deer in warm weather it’s got to be cool for me to harvest and giant. I prefer cold weather and I don’t like robbing myself as Jeff has said of the rut. If he is 200 plus idc what day of the season it is, but otherwise I’ll hang and bang on the rut on a 170/180 plus deer, just where im at.
I don’t hunt opening morning of bow Opening day deer are still on there evening feeding pattern so why risk boogering it when ur odds are way better intercepting a big buck on the way to fields. To easy to bump him in the dark in the morning and letting him know what’s up. This guy knows what he’s talking bout. I don’t hunt till cold fronts and rut in the am.

It's about time 😁
