I have been bing watching you guys for a week now, jumping from present and going back in the past~ You two (three) have such a positive outlook, carefree way about you, that you make great role models for the young generation, BUT also for any age. Please always be yourselves and love one another; you make me feel good during a very difficult time in my older life. Thanks for sharing your journey....
HAHAHA "atleast is scraped some barnacles off the bottom of our boat" made me laugh out loud for sure. Hope you all are doing well. Enjoying all of your videos!
I have been following you guys for months,,remind of my kids in age only, but in spirit I have adopted you both. BTW, I latch onto all your music from soundcloud, just the best pics, you do all the work! In a few months, I will be buying a boat and living on it, by myself with 2 cats on the west coast...just beginning to decide on the best boat,,but never miss what up you guys are up to!!
You guys and your channel really have the potential to grow enough to where you could literally live off of UA-cam and practically cruise all over the world just got to upload daily grind and watch the channel grow
Hi I'm from Brazil. And I'm always following your videos. I would like to congratulate you and continue to shine and take us along with you in your exciting adventures. Congratulations!
I love your videos and have been following your journey to Long Island. I live close to the area where you got stuck and spend a lot of time on those back bays clamming. Those are some very shallow areas along the intercostal and a fine line between the channel and sand bars lol. Glad you got out with no issues👍
Thank you for sharing! We enjoyed Lewes especially- that's where we live😊and also seeing a bit of NJ - super sorry for your frustrating experience but happy someone helped you out! Looking forward to your next installment!!
A blessing good people are still around to help you guys get unstuck. Seems less and less these days. I am a deputy (28 years now) I see the worst in people. Its refreshing when I meet good folks
Well thats cool. You sailed right past the slips where my live aboard was kept on your starboard and further in just past fueling dock on your port side. If you don't come in or leave the canal when tide is not all completely out you run the risk dragging your keel through some mud. Thanks for the memories.
I bet that was a tense afternoon. no worries though. if you haven't ever done this you haven't been boating very long. I put a 43 foot boat on a sand bar in Charleston Harbor and had to wait about 6 hours to float back off.
I would have come down to meet you guys if I had known you were stopping in Lewes. That's not too far from where I love ! Maybe the next time you travel you can have a map with times and places of where you may stop to have fans meet you 3 ! Of course Jetty too !
That was the old Coast Guard station at the end of Great Bay Blvd in Tuckerton, NJ. Also the "stink house" right before that, an old fish processing center. Those waters and that inlet are currently Unmarked!!
We ran aground and had to wait for the tide to come in it was down in Ft Myers decades ago. Looking forward to getting another boat in a year. Looking for a trawler.
All Poop, I live in Lewes, I have been following you all the way up. I would have loved to take you to the Irish Eyes for dinner, and the market, plus I am a retired AC mechanic. Had a houseful of company so I was delayed watching your videos. Soorrrrry!
LOL, I run my boat there all the time, ltst of shifting shoals, and the markers in that are confusing. Glad you got thru! What date where you passing by then? Just wondering. Maybe on your back south you can stop by and i'll buy you guys dinner!
When in doubt and with out local knowledge I always follow the channel markers. 95% of the time they are the way to go in areas that are heavily traveled
yes weather is up here too e 25 ,.. try using a towing eye centered behind the outboard a stainless clip with a small float works and keep it close up to the outboard to prevent fouling . then you can tow how hard you want and in one direction !
Hay Cap'n do you have AIS transmitter on board, I just missed you and should have realized you were heading to Lewes after the C&D canal, last weekend was knaraly. Looked up the Jersey coast to see if I could find you on AIS Ship Tracker
As someone who has also hit bottom a few times I know how you feel. What is the draft on your boat? Also what is your height for going under bridges? Good travels, be safe.
I really enjoy watching you guys (I've done a few delivery jobs), a combination of Navionics route planner and google Earth/Maps lets me see exactly where you are and figure out what you are filming from the boat. Can't you get Navionics to sponsor you?
Now that you mention it sandy shoals are a good way to clean your hull. You really should be brushing it clean every other week or so. Weekly is even better. How often does Sierra get wheel watch or was it you Billy?
Earl Vickers ...yes ..if you have to eat........ .you have to work......I was life guard..in France............I do not know I you do......? for buy fuel for thé boat ?..etc.....the cost of living
I saw a story of a young english girl 19 years old that used to keep mobile phone in her bra.She got breast cancer and had to have one breast removed, please never put your mobile there. Love watching you life style & your updates are so awesome.
Wow! You motored north all the way up the Chesapeake Bay, through the C&D Canal, and then 60 miles south through the Delaware River/Bay to Lewes! Why not run outside, up the coast, from Norfolk to Atlantic City? Just wondering? :0)
G'day, Bill, and Sierra! I agree, you guys should sail to the great lakes. The waters of the Michigan Great Lakes lap against 3,200 miles of coastline onto sandy Great Lakes beaches and rocky shores, dotted with more than 100 public beaches, and two National Lakeshores. Along the Great Lakes beaches are stunning multi-colored sandstone cliffs of Pictured Rocks on Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula, and the highest freshwater sand dunes in the world at Sleeping Bear in the "Little Finger" of the Lower Peninsula's "Mitten." Safe sailing! Cheers! :-)
I know someone at Chris Craft back in the 50's they were testing a prototype cruiser in thick fog running full throttle all of a sudden the boat stops they get out and look they're on sand completely out of the water!
Billy, read the chart depth.. blue was the deep water.. the gray is shoal.. also.. take an anchor out into deeper water with the dink.. and then kedge off.. back into deep water using the windlass. this is more powerful and steadier than pulling with the dink.. but you can do both at the same time if you have enough bodies.
The only way for them to use the Saint Lawrence to get to the Great Lakes would be to go the gulf of Saint Lawrence UP the Saint Lawrence river with currents topping 5 knots plus at times. The better way would be up the Champlain canal system.
I touched bottom at Shagwong Point in Montauk with a Northwest wind pushing us onto the beach. I tried to get off by heading off the beach, but my partner was sharper. He said, "Go out the way you came in." which saved us and the boat. It was about 30 years ago, Unless Neverland spun around after grounding, you probably should have been attempting to tow her off from the stern.
Last spring I hit a submerged log with my Chris Craft . Totaled it. The Nationwide Insurance adjuster was a jerk because he felt like it. Boats US wanted $3,000 to tow my boat to the marina although I had towing insurance, and the marina owner wanted as much money as he could get out of the deal. That was my last big boat.
I grew going there. Now I own a place there.. on your way back down keep in touch.. you want to check out ocmd let me know.. mt uncle owns a marina there!
Billy, you are the zen master at finding the silver lining. "At lease some of the barnacles got scraped off" LOL
I have been bing watching you guys for a week now, jumping from present and going back in the past~

No matter how I look at it, good times hard times you are blazin your own trail. Outstanding!
Billy you're very resourceful with resolving all the hiccups you encounter. Great attitude and work ethic
You guys and your channel really have the potential to grow enough to where you could literally live off of UA-cam and practically cruise all over the world just got to upload daily grind and watch the channel grow

Glad you are having fun. Glad someone helped you get off the bottom.
I am just glad you had no damage! Very beautiful scenery along the ICW! Stay safe!
Well thats cool. You sailed right past the slips where my live aboard was kept on your starboard and further in just past fueling dock on your port side. If you don't come in or leave the canal when tide is not all completely out you run the risk dragging your keel through some mud. Thanks for the memories.
Ooops on your port side just past the fuel was where I kept my charter boat.

What app was that you were using on the iPad? Looks like you made the best of it.
Todd Cole Navionics

Welcome to the Jersey Shore, where I was brought up a few years ago. Living in Texas now but am curious if you will film the Manasquan canal.
Dude, marry this girl! She is a keeper! You guys rock! Kept it between the markers y'all!
Sean Willard Dudes rarely marry the girl. A man comes along and takes care if it...
Good job having a positive attitude!
LOL, I run my boat there all the time, ltst of shifting shoals, and the markers in that are confusing. Glad you got thru! What date where you passing by then? Just wondering. Maybe on your back south you can stop by and i'll buy you guys dinner!

At low tide we hangout on that sandbar lol. Should give us a heads up next time you guys come though!
You should have called the Reel Chaos Charters where in NJ Barnegat Bay.. Good vid guys.. I no your in NY now when do you plan to head back to FL?

Hope you enjoyed Lewes, definitely need to check out seacrets in ocean city Maryland
As someone who has also hit bottom a few times I know how you feel. What is the draft on your boat? Also what is your height for going under bridges? Good travels, be safe.
You're gonna need a bigger boat! 😍😍😍🚤 more horsepower on that skiff! Be safe you guys!

Always nice watching your videos, hey.....what happened to the life guard gig in New York?
Earl Vickers they made a video on this already. They are already up there in NY doing their job. These videos are just behind
Earl Vickers ...yes ..if you have to eat........ .you have to work......I was life guard..in France............I do not know I you do......? for buy fuel for thé boat ?..etc.....the cost of living
You guys should have a shallow depth alarm on your sonar system.
"Green Green GO, Brown Brown, run aground!! We've all done it and any skipper who tells you they haven't is either drunk, a liar or both!!
what brand paint on the fly bridge did you use? Also might have good luck fishing now in that area.
I saw a story of a young english girl 19 years old that used to keep mobile phone in her bra.She got breast cancer and had to have one breast removed, please never put your mobile there. Love watching you life style & your updates are so awesome.

damn guys i had the kids out water skiing on barnegat bay right by the lighthouse yesterday. wish i saw you that would have been wonderful to help.
I always go offshore when passing Jersey(ans it seems I always get whacked by bad weather!)
I know someone at Chris Craft back in the 50's they were testing a prototype cruiser in thick fog running full throttle all of a sudden the boat stops they get out and look they're on sand completely out of the water!
Jimmy Grant Wow that had to be scary!
How do they their so nice and clean from all that sun?🤔
Should of stopped in cape may and wildwood. Was just down there this past week.
God bless you kids!
You guys were right near my beach house in the canal and you went out to the Delaware bay
Thanks for the video, I envy you guys!!!
Music on this video was groovy! Keep doing what you're doing!
Y'all sshould sail to the great lakes through the saight lorance sea way
Name Hi , or they could hit the Hudson River and take the Erie Canal right into Lake Erie.
YESS COME TO ERIE PENNSYLVANIA!!!!
The only way for them to use the Saint Lawrence to get to the Great Lakes would be to go the gulf of Saint Lawrence UP the Saint Lawrence river with currents topping 5 knots plus at times. The better way would be up the Champlain canal system.
There is a little thing call the ERIE Canal that goes to lake ontario
There are two types of boaters. Those who have run aground, and those that are going to run aground.
Stephen J I
And my house is on that board walk that you walked on 😂😂
I saw u guys come thru Barnegat bay
Ben Gravy surfed the wake of that ferry as one of his novelty waves!!
I touched bottom at Shagwong Point in Montauk with a Northwest wind pushing us onto the beach. I tried to get off by heading off the beach, but my partner was sharper. He said, "Go out the way you came in." which saved us and the boat. It was about 30 years ago,
Unless Neverland spun around after grounding, you probably should have been attempting to tow her off from the stern.
Are you guys still there...i am a fan who is really close...i think its really cool
You need to put a depth sounder on the front of your boat so you can see the depth easier
What a bummer glad y'all got it out ok.... GREAT VIDEO though.... Thank you

Ahh, the essentials, coffee, meat, vegetables... peacock feathers!!?!!??

Last spring I hit a submerged log with my Chris Craft . Totaled it. The Nationwide Insurance adjuster was a jerk because he felt like it. Boats US wanted $3,000 to tow my boat to the marina although I had towing insurance, and the marina owner wanted as much money as he could get out of the deal. That was my last big boat.

Does the hull take damage when you run aground?
+Falcon Thunder A-4 not as long as it's a soft grounding on mud or sand
Sucks I just saw this video. I live in Lewes, DE. Would of loved to meet you guys and buy you a beer.
