These (all 3) are really worth watching if you've never changed a tire before. I watched them several times and then went out and changed the tires on my KLR 650. I kept telling myself "This shouldn't be this hard." When I found myself really grunting, I went back inside and watched the video again. I would discover that I had missed some little trick that made all the difference in the world. Thanks for the info. You can tell he's changed more than a few tires.
I change tires of bicycles since I am 10 years old. But I thought on the motorbike I can not do it. Following your instructions it is just easy. Thank you!
It took me longer to watch the video than to change the tyre. Normally it take me an hour or so to change the tyre. And I love the window cleaner as tyre lube love it !!! This is going to help me heap when I'm out on the trail with my mates, where some one always gets a flat
one advantage he has is servicing a race wheel where the tire was mounted on the tire for only a short time. I like his demonstration. I'd like to be able to do this myself. the nearest service for this is 30 miles away for me.
These are the best instructions on the net for tyre change, makes every tyre change easy. However after changing a studded mitas winter front tyre in the winter i would respectfully like to ask doug to piss of with his "if its hard youre doing it wrong"
Did my first tire change using knowledge from your set of videos. No tire stand, just a few tire spoons and about an hour and a half. Wasn't nearly as bad I thought it would be.
Awesome. I always just leave the one side off and put the tube in. I know it's not the right way but it works and these tires are a pain in the Ass to change. I have 3 sons that ride so I am always changing tires. Great video. Didn't know about the Baby powder and crease in the Tire. Great Tip.....
@SkinnySkinch So true, but I still managed to get mine off. Small bites. I was trying to take too big of bites and it gave me trouble. I used this vid to change my front a year ago and it was cake. The rear not so much. Still a helpful video though especially for a beginnier to changing tires like me..
@runescapepart There is no tube if its tubeless. Your just hearing the remaining air inside the rim and also tire will breath if you break the bead with your screwdriver and suck air inside and the psssss sound is probably you pushing down on the tire and air coming out of the stem. No problem keep going.
i bought a used crf100f and i need to get the tube redone. i think the previous owner used too much"Fix-a-Flat" so when i go to change the tube is there gona be a bunch of green stuff come out? thanks for your help
I am doing just as you are doing, but when I put the irons in to take it off, I pull the tire over the rim, but I can't get the iron back in anywhere else, I am leaving 2 in so I can get the third out but I can't get it back in anywhere else, even right next to the other irons, I tried using a hammer to get it in, but it just won't go, any suggestions?
wow, that's a really good way to take the tire off at the last part, pull both beads outside the rim and then it just slides off. The way I did it would scratch the hell out of the rim :p
I don't know if this guy has extra soft tires or if i have extra hard or im just doing something wrong (pobably the last). I took out all air from the tube and then i tried to get the tire to loosen from the rim. This guy pushes a little with his hand, i jumped on my tire and it wouldnt loosen from the rim. And pulling out the tube, holy crap. Trying to hold up a tire stiff as rock with one hand and pull out a thick tube with the other one. This is hard as hell
Either that was some kind of super super soft sidewall factory rider spec tire, or that was a 19" on an 18" rim. Never seen a tire come off that easily.
I watched this a couple of times and decided to give it a try. To my suprise its not that hard. Obviously its harder than he makes it look, but it was worth it to me to save $40/tire to have the stealership do it
The exact amount of air in the tube is very important when you put the new tire on. Without enough air, the tube will get a hole by TIRE BEAD or TIRE LEVER when you put the tire back on. When it is too much of air, you can't put the tire back on.
In the Searh for youtube type in RL155 and goto his channel and find how to change a dirt bike tire and you'll get all the detailed info you need as this guy leaves that info out. Thanks.
Yes, they do. But they are a small tube that sits tight to the rim -- it presses against the bead of the tire to hold it. I guess you figured out not to use screw drivers...
proper tools, you gotta have proper tools or it's really hard if you follow the video directions, and have all the tools he has, after you do it once it gets real easy, I've gotten flats riding and changed at my truck a few times now
Puta cara complicado da porra...vo pedi pro "Louro pe de espatula" com seu martelo de borracha mostar como troca um pneu em 2 min... esses americanos sao fodas....
haha wtf. I just pinched my tube, gouged my near new black pro wheel, tore my bead on my lightly used tire, almost chipped my tooth and my tire isnt off yet.WTF gives??shoulda saved the $40 on spoons and paid $20 to have it done. Im a dipshit.
While the instructions are good, its too bad the guy is clearly using an oversize tire on a smaller rim in order to grossly simplify his demo. There is not a tire on the planet that slides on and off as easy as this. Be prepared to fight a good deal more than this guy in the "real world". Other than that, thanks for the tips. Its helpful seeing it rather than reading.
You missed a biggie step dude and it cost me!!! My rims were permanetely badly scratched. You have to use a rim protector or your rims apperance will be ruined by terrible scratches which he obviously does not care about. BAD JOB HERE

Wow I remember watching this back in the day when I rode dirt bikes. Now YT is recommending it to me again.
Man that's some soft rubber! Nice vid. Learnt a few good tricks. Thanks
Very nice set of videos. Not as easy as he makes it look, but he's the expert.
Thank you - great videos. Your calm voice and wise words "if you're struggling change your technique" really helped me change my first tyre.
Watching this video made a big difference. Thanks.
It took me longer to watch the video than to change the tyre. Normally it take me an hour or so to change the tyre. And I love the window cleaner as tyre lube love it !!! This is going to help me heap when I'm out on the trail with my mates, where some one always gets a flat
Great instructions. I bought all the tools shown, followed the instructions and it was easy.Thank you!
Thanks for the video. I spent about an hour fighting a tire. After watching this video, took me 5 minutes to swap tires now. Thanks
one advantage he has is servicing a race wheel where the tire was mounted on the tire for only a short time. I like his demonstration. I'd like to be able to do this myself. the nearest service for this is 30 miles away for me.

Best tyre change vid ive seen showed me how those rim locks work thanks guys. Good lookin out
Did my first tire change using knowledge from your set of videos. No tire stand, just a few tire spoons and about an hour and a half. Wasn't nearly as bad I thought it would be.

That's a pretty good guide, thanks made my tyre change WAY easier.
Awesome video - Going to inspect my rear tire now !!!
@QualityAirsoft basically it just holds down the bead of the tire and prevents it from slipping off the tire if impact is hard enough
@SkinnySkinch So true, but I still managed to get mine off. Small bites. I was trying to take too big of bites and it gave me trouble. I used this vid to change my front a year ago and it was cake. The rear not so much. Still a helpful video though especially for a beginnier to changing tires like me..
sweet this guide makes tire changing soo much easyer :]
That is the coolest thing I have ever seen
good vid, changing my tire should be very easy now!!
This vid helped for the front only I got pist at the back grabbed my boltcutters sliced through like butter needed new tube anyways
@runescapepart There is no tube if its tubeless. Your just hearing the remaining air inside the rim and also tire will breath if you break the bead with your screwdriver and suck air inside and the psssss sound is probably you pushing down on the tire and air coming out of the stem. VERY HELPFUL! thanks!
i bought a used crf100f and i need to get the tube redone. i think the previous owner used too much"Fix-a-Flat" so when i go to change the tube is there gona be a bunch of green stuff come out? thanks for your help
I am a beginner at changing tires so I have always heard of this but what does a rim lock do?
I am doing just as you are doing, but when I put the irons in to take it off, I pull the tire over the rim, but I can't get the iron back in anywhere else, I am leaving 2 in so I can get the third out but I can't get it back in anywhere else, even right next to the other irons, I tried using a hammer to get it in, but it just won't go, any suggestions?
what was that about making sure the beed of the rim stopper falling into the dish of the rim? i didnt undeerstand it
wow, that's a really good way to take the tire off at the last part, pull both beads outside the rim and then it just slides off. The way I did it would scratch the hell out of the rim :p
yess. thank you =) now i can change my tire and know what im doing haha
Nice vid!
@TheRonaldo156 did that, the tire was like glued to the rim even tho it wasn't
wut does he mean push the bead down?? what is that and what part on the wheel is it? thanks
@KawasakiRider91
need to loosen your rim lock up?
its a LOT easier to take off that un used tire from the rim than a tire that's been ridden for a year and is really stuck on there good.
Yes......sometimes. Like on a supermotard tire, the tire will say "tubeless" but yes, there is a tube in there. If it has spokes,-there's a tube.
What do they do with all the used tires?
TOPMAN! NICE VIDEO :) CHEERS
@QualityAirsoft or anything else tat may result in the tire coming off the rim
Either that was some kind of super super soft sidewall factory rider spec tire, or that was a 19" on an 18" rim. Never seen a tire come off that easily.
if i dont have tire irons what can i use?
I put a brand new tire and tube on and i poped it with the tire iron.i went out and bought another one and i poped that one to.......
Awesome, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW!! That tire is 10x better than mine and you're changing it?
ummmmm do all racing bikes have the rimlock like that or is afternarket idk....
What doe the rimlock do? whats the purpose?
Man he makes that look to easy
I watched this a couple of times and decided to give it a try. To my suprise its not that hard. Obviously its harder than he makes it look, but it was worth it to me to save $40/tire to have the stealership do it
My rim lock isn't moving like his what i have to do '
It makes it so the tire doesn't slide around the rim when your riding and break the stem on the tube.
You can tell this is old-school cause mafucka has a flip phone
What if you have 2 rim locks?
ahh best comment ever. Respect!
ok how does this guy get the old tire to move so easy??? i cant even get one bite on my rear tire.
The exact amount of air in the tube is very important when you put the new tire on.
Without enough air, the tube will get a hole by TIRE BEAD or TIRE LEVER when you put the tire back on.
When it is too much of air, you can't put the tire back on.
Also anyone know the song at the start?
sick intro song.
In the Searh for youtube type in RL155 and goto his channel and find how to change a dirt bike tire and you'll get all the detailed info you need as this guy leaves that info out. Thanks.
Two opposing rim locks that is....far as starting 180 dgrees from the rim lock
@dakota9309 They all have them
Yes, they do. But they are a small tube that sits tight to the rim -- it presses against the bead of the tire to hold it. I guess you figured out not to use screw drivers...
Oh yeah, and another tip. When you bleed all over it, clean it off. Blood is a crappy tire lube.
Thats a quick dismount...
nice thanks
thanks
jesus! That tire is used? Ill take it! I could use that for a year!
@kidcrf some pro's change tire every ride
ok I really don't think its that easy! but it looks easy for this guy.
he forgot to bust his knuckles, throw up his hands and say 'fuck this!! godamn tires..'
thanks popped about five tubes
proper tools, you gotta have proper tools or it's really hard
if you follow the video directions, and have all the tools he has, after you do it once it gets real easy, I've gotten flats riding and changed at my truck a few times now
Ha! I used a flat iron and 2 big screwdrivers
He needs a Riiiiiicola!!!!!
the hell do you put the tire back on
When he went at takin the back side of the tire off he surely fooled me as to how he did it
!!??
Why not recycle them or donate them?
That tire has like one ride on it.!?
Puta cara complicado da porra...vo pedi pro "Louro pe de espatula" com seu martelo de borracha mostar como troca um pneu em 2 min... esses americanos sao fodas....
i've got some loose balls right here...
now try it whit a 20year old tire on a rusty rim
Fucking tires, wish me luck, im about to go change my tire. And it doesnt look that soft haha.
how the HELL does he not pinch the tube and I do 2 times per tire change!?!
I bent my rim doing this shit
yeah i cant even barely budge my fucking tires
well thats not how easy it was to do my front wheel ha ha
his shirt isn't even dirty ...
they most probably recycle them ;)
throw them away, what else? :P
Loose balls?
this doesn't tell how to change a tire, just how to take one off.
me and my uncle can change a tire in less than 4 minutes
dude wat r u talking about
oh my god try it without the stand it SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!
haha wtf. I just pinched my tube, gouged my near new black pro wheel, tore my bead on my lightly used tire, almost chipped my tooth and my tire isnt off yet.WTF gives??shoulda saved the $40 on spoons and paid $20 to have it done. Im a dipshit.

haha!
you are not strong enough.
