This man had the public stamp of approval from both MJ and Kobe, who hardly ever openly gave those kind of props. And had defenders so shook they'd fake illness or injury because they didn't want to guard him. Add on top if that, he hadn't even reached his true prime yet!!!!!!!! I really hate what injuries did to guys like him, Grant Hill, Penny, TMac, Arenas, etc... But those other guys had their prime cut short whereas D Rose wasn't fully there yet and already an MVP.

Man the craziest thing nowadays is the fact that there are fans out there that either don’t remember how great he was…or just never got to see him in his prime. As a heat fan, a 22 (22!!) year old Derrick Rose had me shook. But I always loved his game. Quick…explosive….with godly body control. it's so crazy nowadays to hear people say things like "D Rose didn't deserve his MVP" or "He was just a hyped up Ja Morant" like bro, he got his team to the #1 seed in the East DURING the Miami big 3 days, swept the season series against the Heat, won an MVP, even after his injuries he was STILL in the conference finals and hitting game winners against the LeBron, Kyrie, and Love Cavs. Ja Morant can't even get out of the 2nd round with his other two appearances being gentleman's sweep first round exits, not to mention Rose actually finishes his dunk attempts. "Only MVP to not make the hall of fame" is such a crazy thing to say especially when you look at some other names that have made the hall of fame. D Rose was a monster and the fact he suffered multiple knee injuries and was still starter caliber after shows pure dedication.

MVP rose wasn’t even a prime drose and just 22!! We didn’t have the chance to see prime Rose. He was so unlucky with his injuries .

D-Rose brought my wife back to basketball. She was a diehard Knicks fan in the 90's while we were true Bulls fans. She started watching again due to Rose being StUpIdGoOd & simultaneously humble!!! We were both saddened when his injuries came. My all time favorite PG

It makes me wish Lebron and Wade went to Chicago just to lengthen Rose's career by not having to go crazy in the paint every play

@@ez6810 that's a tough one. Nothing is more epic than winning championships and Jordan's Bulls won six. It would be awesome to watch though. A lot of it would depend on which era you liked the most I guess.

Derrick Rose, Grant Hill, Penny Hardaway... These are players that I loved watching who had severe career altering injuries that kept them from being the truly great players that they would have been otherwise. It hurt to see them get hurt. I wish Derrick has truly great success in the future.

You remember about 7-8 years ago when most of you were probably calling D Rose soft or some stupid shit like that… You never would’ve survived his upbringing, he’s stronger than any of you. He manifested his dreams and made them come true as a child. Like me he was South Side Chi born and raised, he became the youngest MVP ever. Keep in mind he didn’t get drafted from HS, he played a year at Memphis. Anyways he achieved all of this, carried his hometown team on his back for 4 full seasons missing only 3 games, maybe Thibs over played him in ‘11 and ‘12?
He had too much responsibility for a 23 year old 6’2” guard, no real help on offense or in transition. He was it! Then the grind took its toll and he got hurt repeatedly. Was traded by his hometown team and make no mistake, that destroyed him! Search D Rose call traded from bulls and watch the video yourself, the call when he found out he got traded. It’s fucking heartbreaking.
Poohdini went from being the pride and joy to all of Chicago. Then he was little more than a role player for the Knicks…. He fought his way back, he slipped at times, but you bet your ass he got the fuck up and clawed his way back!!!!
    Who’s soft?!?
“When the going gets tough, the tough get going.”
You wouldn’t understand, people from Chicago are different.
