Actually, AC3 was the first game in the series to feature building interior sequences of traversal. I believe ACIV, Unity and Syndicate had versions of it too :)
Unity hands down!!! The older ones and Valhalla are pretty good as well. The thing with Valhalla and the newer roleplay oriented ones (minus Mirage) is that their themes don't really fit with the level of parkour we are used to in the previous assassins creed games and so their environments are limited in order to be somewhat historically accurate. Also previous ideas like the grappling hook in Revelations were a good way to spice up the gameplay and make it more interesting in theory but in practice only deprived us from more organic and realistic climbing motions and sequences (even though the point isn't to be realistic).

Think about it. This is all my honest analysis and personal experience/opinion.
been gaming since kid, i know what u mean, ive played since ac1 and spiderman 2, mechanic wise its perfect spiderman simulator, the web wont ever let go as long as you hold r2 and swings with honest physics, which is FUN. nowadays i think they go more towards aesthetics or feels i guess? like more flowy flashy fun, not the mechanical experience fun. i'd prefer the latter pesonally
The old AC games when they jumped felt like gravity was working properly whereas in the RPG they jump up high for a second and then like a loony tunes cartoon come right down.
Never had a problem with unity but always thought syndicate had best, well best bc same as unity but felt more polished and smooth and this vid definitely shows that. Stopped playing after origins when I seen what they did with the parkour, hopefully mirage is close to unity/syndicate or at least 3/black flag/rogue😅 kinda sucks they stopped small things from old games, the hook blade toss from REV, to the inside running animation 3to rogue miss those
AC Syndicate is too restrictive in terms of the parkour. There isn’t even a manual jump button which makes the parkour risk free and boring. Everything is automated, high profile button makes the protagonist constantly wall jump without any struggle, side ejects are inconsistent, the game decides where you can or cannot jump. Pretty much the game plays itself. Huge downgrade on Unity’s system.
i parkour in real life and i say unity has best parkour system even when arno can jump distances that no normal freerunner would not jump but its still nice to see variations in animations in unity
I wish they would make the future AC games parkour more like unity , also add more real elements like falling or crash landing and not so perfect unrealistic animations. I rather be parkouring fast and be struggling falling and tripping slightly to add more realism
They could've made the best parkour system if they use the unity parkour with syndicate floatiness when jumping (syndicate have the most natural jump and also smooth flow) even tho the game is😬 The recent ones is heavy and lack smoothness and flow

Otherwise why wouldn't they just improve and refine AC1 parkour which had amazing control mechanics or the most real swing mechanics in spiderman 2 ps2 and just downgrade their best efforts?? Think about it. This is all my honest analysis and personal experience/opinion.
been gaming since kid, i know what u mean, ive played since ac1 and spiderman 2, mechanic wise its perfect spiderman simulator, the web wont ever let go as long as you hold r2 and swings with honest physics, which is FUN. nowadays i think they go more towards aesthetics or feels i guess? like more flowy flashy fun, not the mechanical experience fun. i'd prefer the latter pesonally
The old AC games when they jumped felt like gravity was working properly whereas in the RPG they jump up high for a second and then like a loony tunes cartoon come right down.
making ac odyssey looking "parkour-able" is crazy
As a student of BA History, I love this series 😂
revelations is best, amazing hookblade sound while climbing
Comment on est passé d’un parkour quasiment parfait à ça 😢
Not gonna lie, something is different in AC 3 with Connor. It just feels smooth to me for some reason and idk why
The early AC games already had a solid parkour mechanics, if only they could polish Unity's parkour mechanics it would definitely be top tier
No way I’m watching a character run around for like 13 minutes
Not being able to wear the hood that’s attached to your collar in assassins creed syndicate was always the dumbest thing to me
How is it possible to never have seen this 😮6:10
Unit was the best, I always liked AC 3’s too!
So basically the parkour system barely changes. 95% of what you can do in AC Unity you can do in AC1 lol. Got it.
Bring back the old parkour from AC 4 please
Imagine being Ubisoft dev responsible for AC parkour system and actually claiming that Unity and Syndicate parkour were worse than what we have now
i parkour in real life and i say unity has best parkour system even when arno can jump distances that no normal freerunner would not jump but its still nice to see variations in animations in unity
I wish they would make the future AC games parkour more like unity , also add more real elements like falling or crash landing and not so perfect unrealistic animations. I rather be parkouring fast and be struggling falling and tripping slightly to add more realism
They could've made the best parkour system if they use the unity parkour with syndicate floatiness when jumping (syndicate have the most natural jump and also smooth flow) even tho the game is😬
The recent ones is heavy and lack smoothness and flow
Im wondering, how you got the original ac3
Lazy vault 4:30
Reverse vault 4:29 was awesome
I like how unity made it so you didn’t auto run through buildings
In AC Valhalla you are practically Spider-Man but without a web
