The guy singing in Danish is Johan Olsen, who can best be described as a madman. He has his own band called Magtens Korridorer, has a Ph.D. in molecular biology, and he teaches at the University of Copenhagen. Johan is a legend here in Denmark!
Saw them live in February. They are probably one of the best bands live I've ever seen. They were the headliner for this Telia Parken concert and sold out a nearly 50,000 capacity venue. They have so many great songs and every individual is at the top of their game for the instrument (or vocals and instrument) they play but you never see egos. Love them.
Hello Chad! Thank you for watching! I'm happy you enjoyed my video! I really enjoyed Volbeat! This was exactly the kind of music that triggers my happy braincells 🥳 Looking forward to explore more of Volbeat! ❤️🙏❤️
You are my favorite reaction for this great band. You are just as emotional as I was when I first heard this song and I can only imagine hearing it in your own language. Although it is half english already but whatever. I am going into your back catalogue, hoping for consent.
I've watched a handful of reaction videos to this and yours brought up something that happened to me. I knew absolutely NOTHING about Volbeat going into the Ghost/Volbeat show here in Dallas last week. When they played this I felt something... emotional... that brought tears to my eyes. When I got home and found the Americanized version, The Bliss, I figured it out. My better half passed last June. The words spoke to me, almost surely through her. She loved Ghost but almost surely would've loved Volbeat... as I do now. They're all I've played since that night. Anyway, great video. Glad you found Volbeat, I am too!!!
I don't really know what it is, but I LOVE when crowds come together and chant and sing with the bands. It is so powerful - with this video once again.
Great reaction as always. I discovered Volbeat by accident about 2 years ago and have been a fan ever since. I have always found the majority of the metal community really inclusive, age, race, gender, sexuality, all are welcome. (every group of people obviously has a few A-holes but a minority) I've always had good experiences at gigs and festivals from the 80's right through to the present day. It's always great to see entire families enjoying a show.
Hello Paul! Thank you for your kind words! I'm happy I discovered Volbeat! Kind of strange that I haven't noticed them before.. This was really great, and right up my alley! And yes, I start to understand how inclusive the metal community really is. I love it! ❤️❤️❤️🤘❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for this... It always makes me happy to see people listening to "my" Volbeat, the band who always makes me feel good! They have a lot of wonderful, great songs... I think you should listen to "Dagen Før"! I'm sure, it will make your heart smile!
7:30 Forever, perhaps forever Should we together, get on the same road? And when the morning get eyes and the night can rest Should we forever, perhaps on the same road?
Good morning Magne, Your reaction mirrored mine 101% ! I'm also a newcomer to Volbeat. At 72 years of age I have absorbed, literally, thousands of tracks (personally in several bands over many of those years - on guitar and drums) and realized many years ago that melody is the absolute key ingredient for any great tune. "Metal" is simply a label to hang on to so many different forms of music but melody is key. This track personifies the magic of melody. At times it appears to be almost a Danish national anthem, You appear to be a very beautiful person. All the best to you and yours, Terry
Hello Terry! What a wonderful message to wake up to! 😊 Yes Volbeat suprised me. I've never heard anything like it. And yes; melody is the key. Thank you for your kind words! Lot's of love ❤️M
I love how i can read your emotions to the song on your face❤ i can tell that we have the same feelings when listening to this😊 almost like falling in love with a voice or a song✨ This is exactly what im looking for when watcing reactions😊
Johan Olsen, who is the one singing in Danish, has a phd. in molecular biology as well as being the lead singer in one of the most popular rock bands in Denmark
I only caught their music about a year ago. somehow I heard about 10secs of Wait a Minute My Girl. I immediately had to know who it was. much like Steve Perry I find Michael's voice immediately identifiable. his voice is outstanding. Volbeat joins a short list of 5 bands/artists that I've yet to hear a single song I didn't like. 1) Journey 2) John Fogerty 3) Colin Hay (Men at Work) Tom Cochrane (Red Rider) 5) Volbeat. if you read this then you have more patience than I and I thank you.
Hello again Magne, Just wanted to thank you for your response to my earlier comments. They were meant very sincerely but it is always so nice when they are responded to. All the best to you and yours, Terry
Before starting Volbeat, the lead singer Michael Poulsen was in a Groove Metal band called Dominus. One of their albums were actually named Vol.Beat. Worth checking out if you wanna listen to something a bit more rough and groovy.
Yeah this guys are really good they have a huge fan base here in Portugal. It's a bit more uplifting and cheerful and that's just fine. This song in particular always makes me think of romcom movies and ice cream after a great day at the beach.... Not a very metal scenario but dang it my son said it once and I say again and you mus scream at the top of your lungs: if the music makes you happy then it's HAPPY METAL!!!!!! ...... Ok.... Got a little carried away there for a second... Someone said you're soft because you often express your emotions while reacting to music? Well good otherwise this wouldn't be a "reaction video". Great reaction video Magne thanks for sharing with us.
Hello Rui! Always a pleasure to hear from you! Yes this was a very pleasant surprise! I think this is the cutest and most pop metal I've heard, and I really loved it! HAPPY METAL!!! ❤️❤️❤️ And you are right: this IS a reaction channel. I guess it's just me getting embarrassed sometimes... Thinking that other people might think that I'm too soft, or that it's too much crying on the internet these days. Or whatever... I think I want to try not to apologise for crying from now on. Thank you for watching and checking in on me brother! Hugs! ❤️❤️❤️
Its a song about hope and what could be. For evigt = forever. About how the girl, u hook up with tonight, maybe, just maybe, when u wake up next to her tomorrow, she will be the 1 to walk the same road as u, forever.

You want a VOlbeat song to get you emotional? "Fallen" always hits me where it hurts. "Rewind The Exit" has some amazing lyrics too.. But my top faves are 16 Dollars, Radio Girl, Sad Mans Tongue, Cheapside Sloggers and of course their cover of "Dont Tread On Me". Great reaction video, thanks.
Some of the coolest music is Scandinavian. All have heard of Abba, and Aha.. And Kim Larsen is a legend. If you include Finland.. jeez.. it is so much fun and well made Music
Hi @Magne Greetings from Denmark. If you like the collaboration between Volbeat and Johan Olsen (Who btw is also a professor in Microbiology and teaches at University of Copenhagen and a lead singer in his own band Magtens Korridorer = the corridors of the Power/Rulers) I recommend that you check out Garden’s Tale Edit: And I think you will really enjoy the song ‘Dagen før’ where Volbeat collaborate with the amazing Danish singer Stine Bramsen 🥰 Absolutely beautiful and empowering song.
Hey Mr Norway. Good evening and congratulations on 2K + subs. My other half likes this band A LOT. She is totally mad about them. I am JUST beginning to like them, because I have been told to. LOL. (They are actually a pretty good band and we have never seen them live yet). But we will. I would recommend their album Outlaw Gentlemen and Shady Ladies for a first listen. ;)
Hey Mr. Chris ! Good to see ya. Yes this band was a pleasant surprise! Just my kind of thing. I loved them Thank you for your kind words and your reccomandation. ❤️🙏❤️
@@Magnereacts I should point out that their really big / most famous song is Lola Montez, also from that album. Now that I would suggest is what you should really listen to. About a real 'shady lady'. Google her 😉🤣🤟
