British mosque feeds homeless on Christmas Day | I Am Birmingham

- The Birmingham Central Mosque has set up a soup kitchen to feed the homeless, needy and vulnerable over the Christmas period.
The soup kitchen began on Thursday 24th December and continues until January 1st, 2016.
The event is organised by the mosque and supported by Mango Delivery, RJC Catering (Roti and Curry Junction), the Abrahamic Foundation Community Outreach team, The Outdoor Staging Company, Balsall Heath Forum, My Homeless Charity and the Birmingham Food Drive.

In the month of Ramadan while fasting and exercising being thirsty, hungry and restrained from physical pleasure even the pleasures of seeing or hearing or thinking for about two third of the day for 30 days, if done everything properly then by the grace of Allah most of the people get the required fruit out of fasting that is to feel and realize what it's like to be poor, thirsty, hungry and being with limited means and so naturally this overwhelming urge and desire grows inside to go out and help poor, feed them and do whatever they can in their capacity to take care of them.. That's what these guys are doing, without a shadow of doubt this is not show off, this is coming from their hearts, this is not advertisement, like hey look at us we are good Muslims, this is for the pleasure of Allah and to have more and more rewards in their book of deeds from Allah and also this is for their own peace of mind..
I remember asking a Muslim friend about the fasting and it's purpose. thank you for clarifying here as well. Makes very good sense. Seems to help put us all in perspective of those less fortunate .

Many Muslims are nice people but those who are extreme hardliners, it is difficult for them to mingle in a multicultural society.
For example: when some youth is taught Surah 8:58 " Non Muslims are worst of all beings /creatures"
When such a person is radicalised or when he is filled to the brim with hate, then he acts like a terrorist.
1)Why the number of Hindus in Bangladesh and Pakistan is being reduced to less than 9%, whereas pre Independent INDIA they had significant number and were a majority. Why??
2)Why is the number of Coptic Christians in Egypt declined drastically and number of other Christians in Iraq declined from millions to less than thousands? Why??
3)Why can't Non Muslims get citizenship in almost all countries in the Middle East?? Why??
Whereas Arabs and Muslims get citizenship in Europe and other parts of the world..
4)Why can't Non Muslims be in top Government machinery or be Heads of States ,wherever Muslims are in majority?? Why??
Whereas there are innumerable examples of Muslims being Presidents/Prime Ministers/Mayors in NonMuslim majority countries..Why???

1) POLITICS
Though being Messiah,(KING of JEWS) he paid tax to Roman Emperor Ceaser .(Matt 22:21)
2)No reservations on people, generally referred as inferior.
Being born a Jew from the tribe of Judah,he mingled perfectly with the outcasts, Samaritans(John4:1-42)
3)Helped people who ruled over the region.
He helped a Roman Centurion ( Luke7:1-10)
4)He helped people who had traditional rivalry with the Jews.
He healed a Canaanite woman, with whom people would not associate.(Matt15:21-28)
5) JESUS CHRIST our LORD , didn't even rebuke those who crucified him on the cross..(Luke23:34)
6)No hatred for people with opposite traditions than HIS.
He healed a man from the Gerasenus, who used to rear pigs, a disgusting thing for Jews..(Mark 5:1-20)
7)Forgave the sinners.
He forgave a thief who repented.(Luke23:42,43)
He forgave a woman caught in adultery.(John8:1-12)
LORD JESUS CHRIST , EESA MASIH is the perfect role model for all mankind.
