Perpetual is always gonna be one of those special songs. I was at VNV's first ever gig in Ireland, and there were a bunch of moments in there where Ronan had a look on his face of sheer joy, like the validation of a room full of friends and fans in his home town was as special as the massive crowds at Me'ra Luna or similar massive gigs.
But when they launched into Perpetual near the end of the night, everyone in the room went NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH along with with the synth line, and his face lit up even brighter.
Amazing show.

Well, I'm just now catching up here. It is a very pleasant Thursday afternoon in Iowa. I have the day off. I've showered my toucas and went out for espresso. It's so nice chilling out in my own little narcissistic bubble. My headphones are plugged into a PC at our public library's computer lab and the first thing I hear is the set of DJ Maus. So lovely!

Cállate la verga is definitely Spanish. Basically means shut the F up. But as with most Spanish phrases, the context in which you use a word changes it's meaning. That's what makes cussing in Spanish so awesome. BTW, "verga" is one many non-proper ways of saying penis 😁

In dutch 'uitwerpselen' & 'feces' are more formal wordings for that which leaves the stomach in the common direction, we also have: 'stront', 'poep', 'schijt', 'kak'. The last three can also be verbs in dutch: poepen, schijten, kakken. And a turd is 'drol'. That your poops may fall somewhere between type 3 and 4 on the bristol stool chart.
