Hello Éric , so pleased you enjoyed the video, yes, we always have fun at the meetings, I hope that came over on the film. Thank you for your very positive comments, they afe very much appreciated. Keep Well, Steve.
Great vid 3 Rivers. Thanks a lot. Have a great week.
Thank you CD, 👍. Steve.
Beautiful pipe Steve 👌🏽Thank you for sharing. Happy Golden Smokes 🌱🔥💫
Thank you for joining me. ☺ Steve.
Hello Steve, wonderful videos, thank you. Subscribing to your channel!
Thank you Paul for your encouragement , and your support, it is very much appreciated. Steve.
Merry gathering, good to see you, great video! Enjoy your smokes!
Thank you for your company via this production, and thank you for your support. Enjoy your smokes too. Steve.
Very nice looking pipe. Thanks for taking us to the meeting. Pipe On
Thank you Sir for joining us, and yes, delighted with my pipe, it has exceeded expectations, Stuart is in deed a dedicated craftsman, with an eye for detail. 👍
Looks like y’all had a great time!
'Great fellowship = not enough time'... three hours just evaporated in amongst the pipe smoke and the laughter. Thank you for joining us. 😊Steve.
Morning Steve, a lovely blend of tobacco, in my cellar rotation, stunning countryman pipe you got, looks like you had another great time. ❤😊 not seen any adverts on your channel Steve
Hello Bob, yes, I am delighted with the pipe, and that RDHD just makes the JH Falcon complete { thats me getting all nostalgic ☺ } Thank you also for the feedback on the advert situation, how wierd, when I watch here the production gets littered with adverts 🙄. Ref the GPC we do have a relaxed and happy time, good fellowship, maybe one month you will pop over, if you do intend to visit, please give me the heads-up. Steve.
@@3riverspiper1792 I will get there at some point be good that
Just built my own Jack Hargreaves tribute Falcon, straight Falcon Extra with multipurpose bit and Dublin bowl. I decided on it after watching Jack Hargreaves videos on UA-cam. Funny to find others doing the same after all these years. Keep up the interesting videos.
Thank you....👍😊
Great meetup, i haven't had any advertisements watching your videos and am quite spoiled by the same with other pipe channels that if i click outside our bubble the advertisements are more annoying than ever! Keep er lit
Thank you CX, very happy to know you are getting my videos ad-free, very encouraging. 👍 Steve.
Thats a cool pipe
🤘🤘
lovely video as always Steve. Nice countryman, I'll have to make one soon.
Thank you Simon, I hope you do create a Countryman, I am sure it would be snapped-up.
Nice to see you Steve 😊. Very nice meet up. I have strongly considering getting a Falcon pipe. I might just get one now
Hi Edward, you got a mention from myself during Professor jeremiah's live stream on Friday in reference to you possibly getting a Falcon. Below in the comments section, is a link to My Smoking Shop, this will put you directly to the Falcon I was smoking, they will deliver to the US of A, and Canada if you have issues getting what you want locally, only pipes, no tobacco. Thank you for joining us Edward, Steve.
Hello Steve,
my last pipe show is so long ago ... it was the Lohmar Pipe Fair in 2011. Not yet sure whether or not I'll be able to attend the pipe show near Speyer at the end of September. 🤔
As you know I'm not in Falcon pipes, yet. Maybe in a few years ... 😉
I'm glad that you enjoyed it.
Happy Puffing
Lars
Thank you Lars for joining us today, The attraction to the Falcon for myself, is as much the escapism of times watching old Jack Hargreaves films, as it is the enjoyment of the smoke itself. Keep Well, Steve.
Hello Steve,
Catching up on some videos. This looks like a fantastic pipe gathering. You are very lucky to have these as nothing like this exists in my area. Great looking pipe, I enjoyed the chat.
Regards Mark.
PS. I ordered your book last week, looking forward to it.
Hello Mark, yes our pipe club meetings always are well attended, albeit, I could not make todays gathering {2nd Sunday in the month}, I am sure there would have been good fellowship,...I am delighted you have ordered my book from the GWT, a very worthy organisation. This 'fishing ' book will probably be like no other you have read, I look forward to your thoughts . Tight Lines, Steve.
Hello Steve, great to see you! I deeply appreciate you sharing these little excursions, it's a treat for me. Keep making videos, I have not seen any ads on your channel. Beautiful new pipe, enjoy!
Hi William, thank you so much for your very supportive comment, and for also giving me some peace of mind in regards to the unwanted ads not being shown to the viewer,. Steve.
Hiyas Steve,
It's always a pleasure to see you. Thanks for sharing your gathering of fellow pipers with us. What great fun you all had. You just can't beat fellowship with pipers.
That Geordie Pipe is a real stunner, congratulations my friend.
I don't monetize my little channel either, but that doesn't seem to stop the ads appearing. It is rather aggravating since i don't endorse any of it.
I saw no ads associated with your post, so perhaps they are heeding your request.

Gary
Hi Gary, great to know you joined our gathering, if only virtually..thank you also for the feedback on the ads, or lack of ads ...I do not mind sharing the fact that I was having so much fun at the get together, I really did not want to leave , and return into that world outside of pipe smoking. Steve.
Fabulous! Pipe shows are awesome!
I hope you liked the Churchwarden that Johnny has aquired ? Steve.
@@3riverspiper1792 yeah, now that was an engineers Churchwarden. 🤣🤣
@@TheTunnellTake Too right Greg, and 'engineered in the US of A....
Beautiful new pipe you have. I hope it smokes as beautifully as it looks and provides many pleasant smokes.
It was fun to see Kirsten pipes in use. I've three Kirsten pipes myself, but seldom smoke them. Even my Falcon seldom comes out anymore. Not sure why I keep any of the six metal body pipes I own. Seems there must still be something intriguing about them to me. Maybe I should do a video on them.
Autumn is all but here. Great time to be outside. Wishing you all the best.
Hi Dave, doing a video on your metal pipes sounds like a winner, if only to get to see you smoking a Falcon, that would be one for the scrapbook. Yes, the weather is a little confused at present, but for sure the heat has dissipated, the rain clouds have masked the sun, and daylight is in shorter supply, once settled into a more regular Autumn / Fall pattern will be wonderful time for myself to get out and about. Looking forward to your production on aluminium pipes 😊 Steve.
@@3riverspiper1792 If it's just to see me with a Falcon, here is a fanciful video from the past ua-cam.com/video/IIemsQ9-Y68/v-deo.html
Best regards
Thank you for the video 👍👍👍
You are very welcome Tony, thank you for joining me. Steve.
Hi Steve, Thanks for bringing us along with you! I wish there was a similar club close to me as well, seems like great fellowship. And that pipe, what a beauty you have there! Always enjoy your videos. Cheers, Alex
Thank you Alex, yes, it is good to know the Club meets every month, and that if you can make it, there will always be someone to share some tobacco, and tell a story or three. Tight Lines, Steve.
Looks liked a great meet and turnout Steve. I agree, the ads are getting silly and like you I note what they are for and ensure I don’t buy them. Ironically the ad is doing opposite of intended. Anyway thanks again, keep well
Thank you for joining our get together.,.... in deed these ad chaps are definitely lacking in 'people skills', I would not mind if the ads were for pipe tobaccos 😊 Steve.
Hi Steve - with the new pipe you got everything you like - Geordie pipe with Eldritch stem material - that must be great sipping. Most of the new English pipemaker only sell through facebook, so I can´t reach out and get one of their pipes, because I don´t like to use FB. - Anyway I still have enough of them pipes still.
Enjoy your good things like GH tobacco and pipes.
Cheers - A.
Hi Anton, I also do not use FB, I am fortunate to know Geordie through the GPC, yes the pipe is a treasure, so happy with the outcome, and also, GH tobaccos, what can I say, one of the things in this world I can depend upon not to let me down 😊 Steve.
Great video steve
Hi David, good to hear from you as always, thank you again for your support...question, are you still enjoying just looking at that " 7 day set", or have you done the deed and actually smoked any.. must say, I probably would just enjoy the workmanship initially, but at some stage, I would have to indulge. 😊
@@3riverspiper1792 Hi Steve I’ve smoked them all and also ordered another set regards David
@@davidgreenhow4404 Well Done David, as Ian would say, they are created for smoking pleasure. Steve.
Hello mr Steve !
I will do everything in my power do get this blend one day.
Great video! Cool meetup you have there!!
Cheers
Thank you again for your very supportive comments as always....I have not forgotten reference sending you the Peterson photographs, I hope I should be able to sort tomorrow. Great to have your Fellowship on Friday, and for your wonderful contribution. Steve.
Great pipe show Steve
Yes a good bunch of lads there and nice pipes. Good to see you , I’m tempted to buy yes another pipe , I do like the Falcon you are smoking and also I’m a great fan of Jack Been watching his programs since I was a young lad. Take care
Hi Tony, it was JH who inspired me to purchase this, as a tribute to all those wonderful films he shared with ourselves. Steve.
@@3riverspiper1792 And you Steve have inspired me to buy one 👌
@@tonynapoli5549 God Bless, I so wish you could share the Fellowship we had today, not sure what the rest of the World was up to, but certainly in the confines of the Globe Inn Glossop all was well. 🙏
I connected some dots with this video. One of my pipeman FB friends were in attendance. Peter H.
Well spotted, PH is a star. Keep Well, Steve.
Hi Steve, it was good to see you again. It's Dan the big lad from the Yorkshire Pipe Club.
You mentioned a youtube piper from Doncaster to me at glossop but i can't remember his name. Is there any chance you could tell me who it is?
Hi Daniel, Great to share your company on Sunday. Yes, I enquired as to a Gentleman from your County, who I thought you may know through pipe smoking circles... @TruckinPiperBob I hope this helps. Steve.
great video as usual steve.
would love to chat all things pipe smoking with you
Hi Richard, I hope all is well as it can be for you...pipe smoking, and pipe smokers , quite a wealth of material to discuss and enjoy. 👍 Steve.
Hi Steve,
Alls well with me. I'm currently smoking some alsbo black
Alsbo Black... Black Cavendish tobacco, complemented with a touch of Virginia leaf with a Vanilla essence...you know Richard I have never tried it, am I missing out? is it a slow burning blend, or a little fast in the consumption ?
It has a taste of hazelnut and vanilla.
It smokes quite well and you het about half an hours smoke from one bowl
@@bat00021558 sounds as though I will have to give it a try, thank you. 😊
Steve can you recommend a smooth tobacco please, I got some Early morning pipe yesterday, Still having problems it still tastes horrible, Like burning rubber, I can't understand it , Thank you hope you don't mind me asking questions
Hi Stuart, thank you for putting so much faith in me...I can understand the frustration, my recommendations {based on my own expeiences} would be as follows: 1. pick a pipe that you have faith in its purpose as a true conduit of the tobacco you are smoking. 2. ensure it is clean and has rested a suitable length of time since its last venture. 3. select a tobacco that is quality, somewhat middle of the road in strength and burn rate, my advice here, would be an English blend "4th Generation 1882", not too strong, however not at all weak 4. Prepare the tobacco for the pipe, in as much it is evenly rubbed out. 5. pack it well, and gives a satisfactory draw. 6. use a match to light your pipe , in my experience this method should have the least amount of chance of tainting the flavour with fuel vapour invasion. 7. once the mixture is under way, savour the experience using a slow cadence . I hope this is of help, and that I have not gone overboard, it is what I would do /tell myself when I have the same challenge. One last thing, give the blend / mixture at least three bowls, so as to come to terms with its characteristics. **One very last thing, please refrain from using a rubber adapter on the stem/bit until you have got your mojo back.** Good Luck, please let me know how you get on. Steve.
@@3riverspiper1792 Thank you very much for your advice, I will try everything you have told me,I will not give in, I really want to get back into my pipe, Thank you again, And hope you have a good weekend, Take care
@@stuartwrigglesworth9339 Stuart, whilst I was enjoying a pipe this wonderful Sunday morning, two more things that may add to the enjoyment of your pipe came to mind, 1. enjoying a bevergae or soft drink with your pipe to help revitalise the taste buds, 2. being outdoors also may help in regaining those tranquil pipe smoking moments.. Steve.
@@3riverspiper1792 Thanks again Steve, I will try that when I get home, Still the same mate, Lit my pipe last night,O my god I couldn't smoke it, I will keep trying, Thanks again my friend
@@stuartwrigglesworth9339 Wow...sounds something fundamental maybe at work, perhaps that elusive eureka moment is waiting for that one component missing from the equation to fall into place.🤞
Hi Steve, What’s the address of the pipe shows. Also how do you get in touch with you. Can’t find a email address.
Hi the Glossop Pipe Club meet at the Globe Inn Glossop www.theglobeglossop.co.uk/ every second Sunday in the month 1.00pm - 4.00pm, although October will be on the 1st, as the UK Pipe Show will be on the 8th October , details of which are on Facebook, just google UK Pipe Show 2023, I believe it will be held at the Canal Tavern Nottingham ?? you will need to check on facebook
Hi steve this is shawn carlile i live in the united states and want to become a member of your pipe club to have a pipe community and get to know people before i travel to scotland and london. I want to travel to scotland because its part of my culture i am a member of the bruce clan but being born in the united states i feel i missed out on my heritage. I would love to get to know you and other members of the pipe club to make friends but i am not sure how to join your pipe group. Is the london pipe club part of your group or how can i join your group ?
Hello Shawn, thank you for your correspondence, to answer your questions, there is a UK Pipe & Tobacco Club run by Rob Kimberley, contact details as follows ;
UKPTC : facebook.com/groups/ukpipeandtobaccoclub/
Also Glossop Pipe Club contact details : facebook.com/groups/613203179255925/
I am sure you would be made to feel most welcome in the UKPTC which as it states covers the whole of the UK, including Glossop Pipe Club, yes, Rob would be my recommendation to help you achieve your goals.
Plus there is a Pipe Club of London {pipecluboflondon.com/} if you are interested, I am not a member of this body, as their meetings are generally, as the label says, held in London.
I hope this information of of help. Happy Travels, Steve.
@@3riverspiper1792 Thank you so much sir i will look into to all of them.
@@shawncarlile500 As an update, I have had a reply from Rob K as follows; "I think Shawn's best bet is to join the Pipe Club of London as they accept members from all over the World...Unfortunately for Shawn being a resident outside the UK and Ireland,, UKPTC was set up for residents of the UK and Ireland only
Hope that helps.
All the best.
Rob"
Please let me know how you get on, however, if you are in the UK on a second Sunday in the Month, you would still be welcomed to join the gathering as a Guest to the Glossop Pipe Club. Steve.
@@3riverspiper1792 Thank you sir i will look into the requirements for the london pipe club :)
@@shawncarlile500 You are welcome, I hope I have been of some help. Steve.
Steve witch tobacco do you smoke please?
Hi Stuart, at present I have been enjoying Revor Plug, a cool, slow burning, satisfying smoke, word of caution it can catch you unawares, always smoke on a full stomach. keep Well, Steve.
@@3riverspiper1792 Thank you for the advice, I smoked a pipe for 25 years, and I stopped, 8 years later I am trying to get back on the pipe, Finding it very difficult, It tastes bad can't understand it ,Got some early morning pipe, Witch is pretty mild, Been trying for a week now, And still the taste it's like smoking burning rubber, I will not give up , probably because I stopped smoking for 8, Take care Steve,
