All these set ups take up less then 5 square feet in my garage. And is basically free food other then the initial investment cost.
I take my kids fishing a lot so we catch our own bait that we keep for weeks at a time our chickens come rushing when we’re near the big tank we keep outside so we toss them some bait fish
Do you have a video or link for that? I want to start. Im fed up with commercial feed, i think the one i get is loaded with some chemicals, as my roosters get mature early and start mating, while the hens are only halfway to maturity
You’re feeding them the scrambled remains of their own children? Kinda sick if you ask me! How about beans next time with rice or pasta. Then make yourself an omelette or breakfast taco

Oats is quite expensive in place where I'm from.
I have watched some videos on BSF and have attempted to set up one but it didnt work like I see in the video. Pleass , how can you huide me?

you should make a biopod for black soldier fly larva, they harvest themselves, but you have to make sure your in the right area

I've only ever used dried, but I'm sure that they would love live as well!

So you are not using carbohydrates to your chickens?
She said that these are just snacks, not the everyday food they consume. Snacks are given from time to time.

BSFs are the best! 40% protein, 30% fat and 5% calcium. Easy to raise and they self harvest!

Just catch worms from your yard after a rainy day or just make a compost bin and put your worms in there
My previous indoor hen Loves to eat cockroach but unfortunately he and she is no more neither their kids and my new one love to eat mosquito 🦟😅

A lot farmers freed them crushed up egg shell and they are probably not fertilized eggs jack
