If he spent lots of time with his dad he would have picked up the inflection, cadence and tone of the voice. But to sing and play at this level he had to practice and work. Hard work gave him 90 percent of this.
The hair stood up on my arm when the song started because I thought it was Johnny Gimble playing fiddle. I spoke with him more than once and I think he would be pleased just to be thought of. He was that kind of guy. GREAT JOB BEN and everybody! And great song. Rest well Merle.
@@bfr123456 He still dresses better than most all of us! Lol. I did ask him if he used to dye his hair when he was on tour with Merle. He always seemed to look so young with a full head of white hair. He said never! One of the nicest people I have ever met on the country music scene.

Scott, also has made his own way, and finally saved up enough to buy his own bus, plus he is fixing to be headed to George.., He will be on tour this yr… I love Scotts new upcoming songs as well… I can’t say to much, but I do love his song, Living In The Shadow If Merle”

Ben has an absolutley beautiful voice. Love it. Whn I want some nutty gritty country I watch his older You Tube videos if just him and his guitar. Wish he would come close enough for me to attend his concert.
All four of those guys are very talented and Merle would be proud of them. Noel is very very good on his Dads songs too. I wish I could attend one of Noel and Bens shows. I m in South Georgia and nobody ever comes down here.
