- Never thought one day we would say this but… honestly we’re so done with the local sapphic scene. From what we’ve observed, community has been built more on social currency rather than genuine connection.
Unfortunately this was our experience and a common vibe many people have exuded. Until we as a community can learn to be less superficial about the connections we want to make, it’s chosen family my ass 👍🏻

Love the outfits in this episode! As always, I truly enjoy TOL's honest opinions and insights about the local LGBT community and every topic you guys cover.
As an introvert, meeting new people is daunting, so I rarely join any community. It’s hard to find like-minded opinions. I have close friends to talk to, but they often jump straight into providing solutions, which makes me feel like I'm standing alone in a desert without navigation. Then I found this podcast-it was like discovering a constellation while feeling lost. For example, when you guys mentioned sometimes all we need is a little sympathy and support, I felt truly understood (Me inside: ya??? ikr??? sympathy >>> solutions).
Anyway, I just want to say that I really appreciate the effort you guys put into making every episode happen, covering topics like love, friendship, family, trauma, astrology, etc.
Oh, and happy 1-year anniversary to TOL!
