    A few tips. No need to tap the edges when screeding.
    Don't trowel when so much bleed water on top, it permanently weakens the surface. Let the bleed water mostly evaporate before trowel
    Broom was much too early. Let it go off more for a more refined finish

    I find it easier to add the water first. Especially as a woman. The mix tends to stick to the wheel barrow and clump and makes it harder for me to hand mix especially when doing 3-4 bags at a time.

    Nevermind the negative comments but who makes concrete by mixing just cement powder and water!

      @hanoveroak  14 днів тому

      It’s bags of premixed concrete - powder and aggregate.

    You didn't say what the metal was?

    • @hanoveroak
      @hanoveroak  Рік тому

      It’s called steel mesh. You can find it in the concrete aisle of any home improvement store. It helps reinforce the concrete.

    • @hanoveroak
      @hanoveroak  11 місяців тому

      7-8 60lb bags per 3’x4’ slab at about 3.5” thick. There are concrete calculators online that will help for whatever size space you are doing.
