It’s crazy to think that the trash guy is the guy who is expected to clean up after everyone! The tenants just throw trash and recycle anywhere they want to.. thanks for your work It’s very appreciated! 👍🙂
Now this is what I’m talking about, really entertaining and always good stuff. Really enjoy these man great work! Also props on sorting out the contamination
Also, a suggestion for you- When you put the cans back maybe turn them the other way (handles facing towards you). That way when you pick up next time you can flip the lids closed and hold down the lose material easier as you put the cans out.

How do you operate the Self Contained Compactor by the blue Recycling Cans is there a key or button or is it automatically operated by closing the door
@@HERRINRAILROADHERRINILLINOIS compactor is key or sensor operated depends on the compactor so once I close the door it will auto start and run cycle about 3 times
@@Dreambig62 Does the company instruct you guys to remove contamination if you see it? Does bagged recycle get opened and sorted at the KRF or trashed?
Is there a reason all these stops with the toters don't just have front load recycle cans? Seems like it would be a lot cleaner/cheaper for the customer
I swear UA-cam monitors our phones and listens, quite possibly even seeing us? Lol. I was just at the recycling center earlier dropping stuff off from work and I found a big storage container with lid #5 plastic. Our city only takes 1 and 2. And I was literally going to buy a container tomorrow so it saved me money. Anyway we have small containers for our house recycling also when the city hired a new garbage company called GFL. Anyway I never even thought of searching for recycling trucks on UA-cam and here you are doing it. So is the recycling shredded and separated or how does that work? We have a recycling center here but usually it's doors are closed from the street view. EDITED TO ADD, we cant put glass in the home or recycling center bins, but the college accepts it to make cement mixed with the glass Yard ornaments
The recycling goes about 20 miles to Seattle to the sorting pit and gets hand sorted also I have a video of myself dumping at the recycle dump you should go check it out 😃
Given that this is meant to be recycling only, and the bins never have the lids closed properly, why doesn't someone drill a hole or 2 in the bottom of the bins so the rain water drains out?
@@Dreambig62 Over here in the UK, You'd be getting a red tag (Refused) added to your bin and it won't be collected again until you sort it out. Lids have to be closed, any sign of contamination and its just left. Oddly though, they never have an issue with contamination when your Amazon delivery is put in there! Taken no questions asked!

Fun fact this load got contaminated with a jug of car oil a few apartments later so it all went to the trash transfer unfortunately
