Thank you very much! I was gifted the SAMSUNG sound bar with the 2 wireless rear speakers that you used in this video. It belonged to a buddy of mine that likes to change his gear a lot. Tonight I found this video, and because of your step by step instructions, I can hear the rear speakers! Thank you so much!! Thank goodness I didn't throw them away!

Hi Juan, thank you for the video. I got this rear speaker kit, just would like to find out which Soundbar (amplifier)model can be connected to this kit. I tried but no any information. Do you know which models would be comparable? Thank you so much.
It is possible to adjust the volume of the rear speakers independently of the sound bar and subwoofer but believe me, it is not intuitive. Here's the trick they don't tell you anywhere in the manual., and I've not found it in any of the forums. Use the SOUND CONTROL (gear) button on the remote to scroll through functions: TV ARC / TREBLE / BASS / AUDIO SYNC / REAR SPEAKERS (On Off) / REAR LEVEL. functions appear in the readout on the right side of the sound bar. As others have pointed out, the readout is so small the REAR SPEAKERS and REAR LEVEL options both initially appear as REA and you have to wait for the first one to scroll left until REAR LEVEL displays. (You can also click the gear button again to manually advance to REAR level.) When the readout on the sound bar says REAR LEVEL, (this is the critical, non-intuitive part) RELEASE THE SOUND CONTROL (gear) button on the remote. You can then use the up or down (top or bottom) controls of the circular control button to adjust the rear speaker level. The range is from -6 to +6.
Just to add to this been struggling with this for awhile not on the manual at all tapping ch level you see virtual channel level holding will get you to center level and you can now use the up or down at the top by the pause play to adjust then tapping ch lvl again brings you to rear L then by holding ch lvl again you can now adjust the rear speakers volume with up or down again by the pause or play button not by the volume adjustment button like you'd think hope this helps someone !!!
Is there any way to connect the Samsung swa-8500s to a Samsung t450 soundbar without holding up on the volume button? Speakers and soundbar are not connecting for me....
I’ve seen a LOT of hate on these speakers and I’m not sure why ? I just got them and I think they are solid “IF” you understand what they are supposed to do. They sound great. They are for “ambient sounds” place them at ear level if possible BEHIND YOU and they’ll be just fine. I seriously bitched about my Samsung soundbar and sub for a LONG time lol 😂 until I realized there was settings in the actual sound bar to adjust the bass / treble etc ! Question? I bought the whole set up Samsung HW-b57 and I am having issues with the Sub woofer and the rear 2 speakers keep cutting out or dropping out when playing anything through the system. For people asking how to turn up the volume. If you are running the other samsung kits that come with the sound bar and rear speakers like the HW-Q65T. Once you get the rear speaker option selected in the menu on the sound bar, you have to "Hold" the settings button and instead of hitting the volume button you have to hit the up arrow to increase the volume. Ive gone up to +6 and for me this is still not enough. The sound is still weak compared to the soundbar and subwoofer. You will have to run a cheap amplifier per speaker to get the volume you are looking for from what im seeing on youtube. Ive ignored this problem for 2 years now and just now starting to rectify it. theres videos on youtube on how to add amplifiers to the speakers to get the volume you will be looking for.
how do you turn up the volume of the rear speakers. My soundbar is loud but my rear speakers are not loud at all. I can hear audio coming out of them but when I turn up the sound bar the rear speakers stay low in audio
not sure how you missed that the LEFT and RIGHT outputs are color coded, and you had them in the wrong jacks also...you needed to hit that SETTINGS button one more time,,, til it went to REAR SPEAKER LEVEL. Stopping where you stopped is how you turn them on and off
Forgive me if it's a dumb question! Does the Q700A soundbar support Samsung Rear Speaker Kit? If yes, please suggest; I know it's a 3.1.2 soundbar with a woofer; I wondered if I can add two rear speakers. Would it increase the surround sound experience?
So I just bought the kit with these and the soundbar, but my family room is already wired for rear speakers. Can I hook the wireless unit speaker wires into my existing wires behind my TV (that connect behind the couch), or will the extended wire run cause an issue (the wires run behind my TV, up the wall, through ceiling and back down to the middle of the wall behind my couch). Also second question: even with the bass up all the way, it’s not as loud as my older Yamaha. Does this Samsung setup just have a crappy sub, or am I doing something wrong? Honestly thinking of returning this for that alone.
So I got the HW-Q65T/ZA soundbar, subwoofer and wireless rear speaker kit (SWA-8500) all in one box. Subwoofer auto connects just fine. But when connecting the wireless receiver module, the soundbar will not go to ID SET. Manual says to press and hold the UP button for 5 seconds so I have tried that as well as the volume button as your video shows and no matter what soundbar will not going into ID SET. Any ideas?
I literally thought the exact same thing until I read the manual. Not truly wireless but I'm going to try to make it work anyways. Just bought the HW-Q60T. Amazing soundbar. Hope the side speaker wires are long enough now lol.
@@naveenraj7589 The wireless kit is bundled in with the A670/A67E models that come with the soundbar, sub and rear kit. Don't know if they're available for purchase separately.
Remember, this setup does not allow one to set delays on the rear speakers, as this system does not come with a calibration microphone. They also don't allow for this in the software, only to delay lip-sync between the video and audio. This means due to the speed of sound, the closest speakers(rear) will be heard first, then the front speaker(soundbar) that is further away. This causes a horrible echo effect, and one should move the listening spot to the centre of the room, so the sound signal from all the speakers should reach your ears at the same time, then it sounds good.

Thanks for posting this, it helped greatly. Other tidbits of info I found that others may find useful. I have the Q60T Sound bar. According to everything I've read online, even on Samsung's website, the SWA-9000S is not compatible with the Q60T. It appears that Samsung does not know their own product. I powered off my sound bar and set up the rear speakers and plugged them in. Turned on the sound bar and using the instruction manual went to ID SET on the sound bar. I immediately linked the rear speakers system. They were incredibly low volume until I found this video and followed it and while they still are not loud it is night and day difference and it sounds awesome in surround mode. Of note, using the TV ARC (HDMI) to hook up the sound bar gives me about double the volume and sound quality over the BT hook up. Don't know about the optic audio hook up as I don't have a cable yet. I'm curious to see if there is a difference. Another note. When I was following this videos direction I also found the "Audio Sync" setting in those settings. My audio was out of sync just barely and I was able to adjust it perfectly here. Why is this stuff not in the instruction manuals???

Of note, using the TV ARC (HDMI) to hook up the sound bar gives me about double the volume and sound quality over the BT hook up. Don't know about the optic audio hook up as I don't have a cable yet. I'm curious to see if there is a difference. Another note. When I was following this videos direction I also found the "Audio Sync" setting in those settings. My audio was out of sync just barely and I was able to adjust it perfectly here. Why is this stuff not in the instruction manuals???
I have the q60 soundbar and can not connect the rear speakers don't know why
@Tartan Budgie yeah I figured it out minutes after I posted my comment lol....thanks though
@@yaxel38 what exactly did you do? I just bought the HW Q67CT 7.1 system. Rear speaker connection is a fast blue blinking. Been messing with it for an hour cant get it to pair.
@@johnbiel8249 mine wasn't working because I pushed the cables to much inside the speakers thinking that they would fall out lol so I took them out a lil bit and that's it they worked
Just figured it out. I had to turn the sound bar off. THEN push down on the remote's volume until "ID SET" appeared on the powered off soundbar. Unless I missed it 20 times, this is NOT in the friggin user guide. So frustrating! Thanks for the reply, though!
These speakers work with the hw-q70t soundbar?
Did. Get answer
Great video, thanks so much! Does anyone know how long the cables are for the rear speakers? Are they proprietary end connections?
cables are 32.8 feet, sorry if u don’t understand me, i’m from Mexico and I don’t speak English, I hope this help u :)
@@jarho0838 I was looking for this information as well. Thank you. Almost 33 feet each? That's pretty good and much longer than I would have guessed looking at them in the video.
I bought these as a bundle with the sound bar. I’ve tried everything (made sure only the copper wire was inserted, turned up the rear volume to max, linked, unlinked & linked again a thousand times, followed all the directions) & there’s still no sound coming from these rear speakers. I’m so annoyed. Do you have any tips before I return this whole set up?
You might want to see if your model is compatible. I made this video that tells which models of soundbar are compatible with these speakers. Hope this helps answer you question - ua-cam.com/video/5-GO76PedLk/v-deo.html
I had the same problem. Slightly pull out the red and black wires from the speakers. They shouldn’t be inserted all the way in. That fixed mine. Hope this helps
I had no sound with my rear speakers using the BT setup. had to switch to the HDMI arc cable.
@@srodriguez951 I was beginning to think they sold me the wrong speakers. But that helped out, and now they're working. :)
You can reset de wireless rear speakers by pushing the little hole in the receptor with the main HomeTheatre OFF & pushing de MUTE button in the controler to succesfully pair. Saludos de México
Thanks man!! We paid a lot of money thinking that very same thing, what a crock!!
Glad I could help!
Thanks for your video.
Do you know what the best settings (equalizer) are.
It really just depends on what you usually use it for and your room space!
Models are compatible but why when I hold the volume button for 5 seconds it doesn’t connect?
Same issue here.
PERFECT!! THANKS
Glad it helped!
This video help me out a lot. While I don't own the soundbar I was always curious how one would hook this up for use. So seeing how easy it is to set up you made my decision a lot easier. Thank you.
Glad I could help!

Are there any stands for these speakers?
Is it Compatible with the Samsung HW-T510??
Yes, it worked for me
Can you use a wireless speaker kit for the rear speakers?
Will these speakers work on the harman kardon q60 sound bar
I made this video that tells which speakers work with this kit - ua-cam.com/video/5-GO76PedLk/v-deo.html
Does the receiver for the rear speakers have to be near the soundbar in order for it to work properly?
About 30ft is its bluetooth range.
Are these rear speakers working well only on bass blast mode ? If you’re going to select the movie on the soundbar settings they’re going to sound like they’re underwater . Am i right ?
I usually just go with the default settings on these because it's easier.
Juan Camacho there isn’t any sound on them only if they’re on bass blast and movie mode . I’ve got the sl10yg
The video was very informative it's just the background music got to be really annoying.
I have been using less music in my videos lately. Thanks for the critique.
@@JuanCamacho21 Just to maybe help to make you feel good I just ordered this item partly due to your review. Thanks.
Can I connect two Wireless Read Speaker Kit's to one sound bar?
Soundbar HW-T550
Why do these speakers only work in game mode and not work in surround mode (HW-QT70 & SWA-9000)? I called Samsung and they said to send them back to the retailer?
Hmm I wonder if you have to adjust something in your settings. Mine come on during a movie which would be surround sound.
Juan Camacho I’ve had no luck adjusting the settings. I’ve been watching Netflix with 5.1 designation but rear speakers don’t work. Thanks!
I Can't add another subwofer ?? On soundbar t650
Samsung says that these speakers will work with the Samsung soundbar HW FM45C. Do you have any experience with speakers not connecting?
Have you tried? Is it working?
Can I add any rear speakers to that receiver
I am not sure. If you try it let me know.
@@JuanCamacho21 I actually found the correct speakers to go with the 8000s
Can i link this speakers with my samsung q70t soundbar
I made this video that tells which models of soundbar are compatible with these speakers. Hope this helps answer you question - ua-cam.com/video/5-GO76PedLk/v-deo.html
tried every possible way but still getting no sound from my rear speakers. They were working fine before. I recently changed TVs, not sure if that changed anything in the soundbar. But the tears arent working anymore. Any suggestions?
Is this compatible with HW-Q60T/XU
Is possible install rear speakers without soundbar?
I tried: NO!
I selected rear speakers but it is turning up my sound bar too. Is there a way to only turn up rear speakers? Thanks again your videos are super helpful!
I am not sure on this one. Maybe someone else can chime in.
When you cycle through the menu options on the little screen, "rear" shows up twice on mine, 1st is just on/off, 2nd controlled rear speaker level with the arrows, not volume buttons
"We can use these little speakers without the wires" Gave me a little chuckle.
I was thinking.. yeah... No.
No wires? would mean they would each have to be battery powered, amps built in, and no need for the larger box. Would be nice.
Yes it would be nice!

???
The Samsung SWA-9000S rear surround speakers come with a dongle to plug into the rear of the a Samsung HW-Q70T Soundbar. But the dongle cord has USB C and the soundbar has USB Micro.? No adapter in the box?
I have these speakers for quite sometime now. I forgot if they required battery. If I can remember correctly I think they do. I can’t seem to remove the back of the speakers to put in batteries. Please help! Thanks in advance.
What are you using for feet on your sound bar!?
Whatever it comes with out of the box.
Thank you for this!
Glad it was helpful!
Does anyone know if this kit is compatible with the a450 sound bar?
SWA-9100S is compatible for HW-A4x, A5x and A4x models.
Can you hook more than one rear speaker kit ?
No I don't think so
