Trailblazing Emirati Women

Under the leadership of the late Sheikh Zayed and the “Mother of the Nation,” Her Highness Sheikha Fatima, the UAE recognized early on that stability and peace are not possible without providing equal opportunities to both men and women. Sheikha Fatima championed universal education for women in the 1970s. Education is a catalyst for community development and personal transformation, and Sheikha Fatima’s investment in education - which began over forty years ago - has come full circle.
