A massive thanks to Tim for subbing in for me on this trip!
Are you ok Bob?
Did this dude hijack you and the channel???
We never seen him before
@@BlazinBlades this is wrong on so many levels
@@BlazinBlades Tim’s been on a few before if you watch all MotoBob videos.
More Tim please.
Love the looks of these bikes but the branding is hard for me to get over because I'm not familiar with it.
I own the heritage version, was an impulse buy because I like the styling. Power, comfort and handling are excellent, as are the general components and overall build.
The styling is so good with these bikes. The sport is for me
I've been looking at these for a while, really want one
Well presented, would defo like to see more of Tim on the channel.
Seems like an interesting piece but I have to agree with the folks talking about price, dealer networks, and resale value. CF still has a lot to do in terms of being a household name.
hey tim. thanks for yet another great review. what's that jacket that you are wearing?
Along with the Moto Morini and the CFMoto bikes, I feel like the best way to describe the retro-modern aesthetic from these chinese bikes is "Cyberpunk styled". Appropriate, given the electronic features could beat a lot of the more expensive competition.
How do you even buy one in the UK, there's no website since KTM took over distro. Did you get to ride the 450SR?
Good to see you teaming up with Motobob. This bike is a bit light on the displacement and power for me, but it's a really good looking bike.
Sounds like you need to look into the Honda Hornet. 90 hp.
@@user-jr1cs6ob3m Thanks brother. I've got a 2022 Ducati Streetfighter V4S that's 208 HP and currently in the shop getting full race exhaust and tune for over 220 hp. I've got a couple others too but I'm looking for something I can pin the throttle on and not fear for my life 🤣. I was also looking at Moto Guzzi V9s today. Only about 63hp but probably a chill ride. I'll check out the Hornet too. Thanks and have a good one.
Nice to see Tim since his channel has been rather quiet.
Been hearing nothing but good things about CFMoto.
I would like to have an engine plate in adventure model as the exhaust is exposed and during off road drive it will be always on back of my head ...
Looks nice. Thanks!
That Heritage version looks really good in the flesh.
More Tim please in future videos!
The side plates in the back!?? Is for bags or what?
Anyone know if or when this is coming to the US? Im looking to get into a heritage this summer, but if this is available I'd love this one.
It's been in the us
@@hypedtarzan only the Heritage and Sport. Not the Adventure.
Wow. But what bike is the same but better?
Are the tyres tubeless on the Adventure? Why dual discs on the Adventure? It doesn't make sense. 6:08 Do those plates on the rear side take panniers? It would be the Adventure for me. Someone I knew [he was killed on his CRF1000L in Chiang Rai three years ago] rode from China on an early CFMoto a long time ago. He had no problems with it.
Excellent review, beardless Bob.
Single on the Adv, did u even watch the review 😴
Anyone knows the intro music?
I think they took a very close look at the Ducati scrambler
Curiosity for the better of me as a lad is selling a very low km example here in Tasmania for $6k AUD. New they are $8490, or at current rates about £4750. Somebody is having the arse felt!
Is everyone noticing that the engine is almost the same as the kawasaki 650 platform? Also the same on moto morini X-cape
Oh man, I am so torn. I'm in the market for a mid-size adventure bike in the near future and the CBX500/NX500 has always been my first choice, but you just can't get around CFMOTO, can't you?
Their design language is gorgeous, they seem to be pretty modern and well-equipped on the technical side and their pricing is just unbeatable.
BUT
...they are still chinese bikes.
Wish someone could reassure me they wouldn't fail me in 2 years, and my money was on this one in a heartbeat.
ps: could also do with a crashbar and bash plate, are there any available for them?
Most things around us, in our daily life r made in China 😴
Quality is more than just skin deep ...
Nice
I'm not fan of the 180-degree crankshaft sound, but the rest of the bike is nice.
Does the CF stand for China First ?
Actually these two character mean "spring breeze" in english.
Excited for the 800nk. That has the 800cc from duke790.
same, the standard 180 degree crank is just to boring these days.
Nice introduction to the bike. In no way should you attach the word “review” to it however. Overview and first impressions.
dream bike
...or nightmare ?
Dude you look so different without a beard! definitely keep it shaved bro 🤣😂
these guys should have a stand at the Malle Mile this year! Are you going Bob?
who are yoou?
Cf moto is quality. Ya’ll are stuck on main brands and have no proof that these cf motos arent reliable. Cf moto is not a new company. I’ll personally never own one as i am a triumph guy now but in past was a suzuki then ducati and then mv agusta guy.
The cf moto 450sr is sick and damn sure is shaking the market up!
I know the new Honda Hornet looks a bit meh but you get a lot more for £7000 than these bikes offer, and bulletproof reliability + quality fit and finish. These bikes need to be £1000 cheaper to be competitive as I see it.
Well, many bikes are produced in CN, especially with/ under coproduction with CF - like KTM, guess quality mightn’t be the point for the money, but politics & reliability. So we don’t buy neither Conti & others ?
If you had to bet your life on bike reliability you’d be mad not to go with Honda compared with those other brands you mentioned. It’s as simple as that for me when the price is similar.
@@pw9150 different levels of quality and if possible never chineese products.
@@claesnorell8702 yes, true
The Hornet has made all current bike prices look OTT and these Chinese offerings in particular. Seriously
why would anyone buy a CFMoto product when a Honda with MORE performance is available ? Any Journo'
who does not say that is seriously damaging their credibility.
Please, cf moto STOP with the X logo on everything. It makes the bike look cheaper than it actually is. Just a tiny cf-moto is enough on the engine..skip the rest. Nothing on the seat, tank, bag protectors, fender, etc etc. Bikes look nice; clean. The bike is good. We know. We believe in you CF Moto, don't worry. But the X here and X there and an X on this and on that is the only reason it looks cheap. I can't be alone in this. Just imagine this bike without the large shiny plastic cl-X on the tank, or anywhere else for that matter.
For the China built knockers. There's noodles of things made in China. It's the QC that counts, not the source of production. Japanese engine/ suspension. German electronics. Top class Italian brakes on Sport. I bought one as a second bike commuter. Ride it more than my Speed Triple! No dealer network? Not true. KTM allied so.....
The price isn't a bargain that you'd expect from an unknown Chinese brand, you can get a Suzuki SV650 for less
😀😀😀😀😀
Not unknown in the rest of the world at all
The fact it has a 4 year warranty yet, BMW, KTM and pretty much all Japanese bikes won't back their over priced bikes over 2 years says a lot.
Does it though? Honestly the Japanese bikes are really incredible with their reliability. I’ve owned many Honda and Yamahas and they are built so well. I have a friend who daily’s his 22year old Honda F4i and it still runs like a dream, has had no engine work done and starts first go everyday in cold and rain. I used to own a vfr800 that I sold with 100,000 km’s on it, looked new still, ran perfectly. They have earned their reputation, and having a 4 year warranty doesn’t mean much to me if the bike breaks down every 6 months..
@@slakk5093 Yes, it does. So your "Friend" never changed any part of the engine in 22 years? Never had the value clearances checked, spark plugs changed, nothing, didn't even bother to change the oil I presume. That is amazing, 22 year old spark plugs. I need to get a hold of these long lasting sparkplugs.
They are available here in Sweden, however they cant throw them at you, no one wants it.
Why
@@ggod4185 Chinese çrap
Did cf moto finally fix their general engine maping. Last year, all models couldn't be recommended because of this.
Edit: 5:35 okay they didn't...
Many components are actually made in China
man, i wish cfmoto was smart and brought this bike over here stateside this year, but alas, we only get the shittiest two versions of the cl-x...cfmoto was like , haha, americans, we have some dope af bikes we are releasing this year, but you all only get the chintziest and uninspired versions so we can laugh at you all and not sell any bikes in your country.....such a great business decision cfmoto, you deserve a cookie or some ish....
What you forgot to tell us, MotoBob, is the fact that this thing vibrates... a lot. And you feel said vibrations everywhere - hands, feet (even though pegs do have a chunky piece of rubber) and even through the seat. At 5-6000 rpm power is lacking, which is weird for an engine of this structure and capacity.
Other quirks include:
- having to put the engine in neutral in order to start it, regardless if clutch is pulled in; fyi, finding neutral is not a precise science with this bike
- handlebar controls feel ackward - signal switch offers ZERO feedback, I found myself having to check the dash in order to tell whether or not my blinkers are on when signaling
- mickey mouse rear view mirrors are too small, don't feel safe with them
- when standing, the right peg is a bit too close to the exhaust and your heel WILL hit it when standing on the balls of your feet
- leg angle is a bit cramped, and I'm just 5' 9"...
What the bike DOES have going for it: brakes, suspension, handling and price.
I have the sport model and I have none of those issues 🤔
@@marcustaylor3528same here. I own the sport model and I'm very pleased with the bike overall.
oh no CFMOTO ....😢 WHYYY 180° ?? 😭
Worth absolutely nothing when you come to sell it. Overpriced massively when you consider the Hornet
Almost unsub'd as I thought I'd been sub'd to a new channel. Not a bad spec'd bike. Tim is better looking, just saying.
楚留香都到国外去了
早就世界各地卖了。玩乐车型就应该全球卖。把规模提升,让市帮助产品迭代进步。
I think we should not start buying motos made in CN
Why? Politicion, China is enimi😊😊😊😊😊
@@josiaslima7467 Not "enimi"! THE ENEMY! Totally agree with you Marcel!
@@mihaimihai9254 obrigado bro...kkkk
@@josiaslima7467 Are you Marcel?
Most bikes after 2010 look like their designer was on cocaine. This one is no exception.
That's simply a scrambler and not a ADV. It can't be an ADV without engine and radiator protections. It doesn't even have hand guards. Comme on! That's nothing but another Chinese piece of crap!
Hilariously overpriced for a chinese bike, zero dealer and repair network, zero resale value. Who wouldn't want one?
Well said 👍👍
That's the problem with these bikes, they would sell 100x more if they'd cost 10% less.
They are the same price as the correspondent Yamaha or Honda.
It looks terrible
Its going to compete with the non jap made bikes from the brand names... not even close to the legacy stuff from the big 3 though. I work on there atv's for a living. There v twin engines are garbage, just shred crank and rod bearings, and always cross contaminating coolant/oil due to multiple points of failure with gasket/case engineering. The 500 cc single is the the only one that's reliable. though on my work bench I have a whole top end to replace due to head gasket failure. That's a day to repair, instead of a week of your life gone for the vtwins still dealing with alliexpress quality electronics and wiring though with everything. So many problems right out of the box with the atv's and side by sides its sickening, like outright effective harnesses, ecu's, o2 sensors, voltage regulators, electric power steering .... yeah try torquing roll frame bolts to 'spec' they just snap off, seats and plastic that look 10 years old after one season. FML CF
its the best chi com crap you can buy though, and the parts are reasonable, and somewhat available. Do not every buy the generators from them, they are wish.com garbage.
