They are paving the road to the “new” tv era! The future of tv is here! If you want true and authentic content, this is the way! If you want water down control content go to the big tv companies!
Every time I start up a new episode I think 'This feels the same as an older episode' then I find myself watching for 45minutes and then saying 'Wow, that was such a unique episode.' Cards don't change, but people do. Thank you for showing that to us every week.
The absolute BEST show on YT under 50k subs, heck under 1 million subs. One day we’ll look up and see it’s over 100k subs and more. I hope the shows format is EXACTLY like this when it hits those numbers. Everyone involved with the show, including all the viewers, is to be thanked. Share, comment, like, bell notifications and subscribe so YT knows how much we all love Chasing Cardboard.
Why? You're watching it here just as easily. They own their content in perpetuity and don't have to sign away rights or share revenue with a studio/network.
@KipArmadillo , I think it would enhance viewership and maybe get even better production wise. More people would be able to enjoy the hobby. Definitely wouldn't want to see them get hurt by such a move.
Hey Chasing Cardboard! I just wanted to let you know how much I love your videos. I'm always anxiously waiting for the next one to come out. I really wish you could release new content more often because waiting 2, 3, or even 4 weeks can be tough! Everything else you do is fantastic, and I think your content is amazing. Like always, I'll be eagerly waiting for the next video. Keep chasing, brother!
Loved the content including budget restrictions. It added a very realistic element to the show! Keep up the great work! CC is the best in the business of SC content!
I am a father of 5 and we all watch your channel. The simple fact of how inspirational you are, how honest and honorable you are is something all people should strive for within themselves. Thank you for what you guys do and God Bless
This show needs a tv series. This is literally like A&E or History channel quality. You’re such a fucking G for offering 11.5k, love that about you guys
@@Looch1717 I think it would be more about validating the work they put into the episodes, or giving credit where credit is due, instead of just saying “having it on tv is better than UA-cam”
@@Delmiester Thats a fair sentiment, as a consumer of their show though I wouldnt like it at all, im in Sweden and I bet itd be hard watching the show if it moved over th american tv haha.
@@Looch1717 I do agree, I’m from the US but don’t have cable, so I prefer most things I consume to be on YT or some other stream able platform. Having YT premium and removing all the ads has me never wanting to watch network TV again
UA-cam is the new avenue for History Channel-like content. The only thing HC would provide is a wider audience and probably a laundry list of cons for an audience that may or may not stick.
love your content!! keep it coming. would also love more insight on the profitability strategy of the collections you purchase... how you make your money vs what you paid. etc.
Man, another awesome vid from the CCC (Chasing Cardboard Crew). Only wish we could have seen more cards from the 2nd collection since that’s where most of the money was spent.
Another great episode Ty, I've been watching since the very beginning and I love how you are an authentic guy making his passion his business. I run 2 underground reissue labels myself that focus primarily on rare and unreleased hip-hop from the 90's along with a general hip-hop website in new and used physical formats. I know that sometimes it can be tough but we do what we love and I see my passion in you as well, trips like this make it all worth it. My wife has been watching the last 10 episodes with me now, and while she's not a sports card enthousiast she does love the show and the stories. I think that's the biggest compliment you can get about the quality of your show if you can peak the interest of people that don't even have an affinity for sports cards. Keep doing your thing and all the best!
Thanks for another great episode! I love watching these. Keep it up! I would love to see a follow up on some of the stuff once you sold it? Say how much you guys made or lost? And how the collection ended up based on what you were expecting.
@ You’re welcome. Would love to see how the big collections ended up, or what you could sell or what’s left over, what the cards graded that you sent in. You’ve done little things like that in the past.
Really enjoyed that first collection coverage. Great interaction shared with that gentlemen and the negotiation at the end just felt...good on all parties. Great stuff.
This is awesome... I collect, but only 2 players at the moment. I have over 100 autos of one player from the old days on all types of different cards of his, so I can appreciate going all in on a player.
Ty! Great video. Love the journey of buying these collections. The last guy was a sweet dude. I can empathize with him and you. Talking prices is awkward and can be embarrassing if you’re way off. I can see why he was hesitant. Keep the content coming!!!!!
Hats off to TY on first deal, Rick was just a true collector that had fun and not felt guilty which is so rare nowadays. Enjoying the story and how Ty took care of him
@@SteveAustin-jp3ev Sadly that's true, the hobby is big, bigger than ever, but it's tiny in relation to what cable needs. This show is great, but American Pickers dances around a million viewers. This would do what 200,000 maybe? but with all the crazy costs it wouldn't be worth it. But it's OK, I think going alternate route is best, if every viewer donated just 50 cents when they watched an episode, that would be a huge amount of money. I don't know if UA-cam has this but they should, each UA-cam channel should be able to have other pay channels that cost a premium, but again if they can get a few advertisers it helps. Media is still changing, more to come.
The Mantle,Trout,Tatis,Vladdy, jordan, etc. collection almost felt like i was going through my collection. Shout-outs fellas, ladies, kiddos,Rippers, and collectors keep collecting and watching chasing cardboard forever!!👍😎💯🫶👊
Been following your IG forever and just viewed the episodes before subscribing. I second the comment about this show needing to be on the history channel or Discovery. Been a collector since a kid in the early 90s and have a room full of cards!
Great episode. Three fantastic deals, even with the bulk stuff in the last deal. It would scare the hell out of me to dish out $33k plus, but you have the system to make it work. Good luck. You did not just dump those cards all over the ground?
The last guy just seemed so frustrating. A year and a half he had to calculate and research on his end ,and you get to the inspection and its just banter and guesses. But you came from respect and patience and got there in the end.
Man oh Man i wish Rick would of called me lmao. I have enjoyed seeing what you have been listing, and was able to snag some so far. He definitely undervalued some of his stuff, so you did him right.
Fantastic episode. This guy spent 50k (and likely much more), and sold the bulk of it for 11.5k. It's a fair deal, and I don't mean to knock him at all on what he spent, clearly he has the money to do it and no regrets, but it's a lesson to most of us collectors that the return on investment likely will never happen. Have fun with the hobby, but don't let it take over your life. Cheers.
Hello man. I live in Salt Lake City so close to you. If you ever come this way id love to take some raw bulk inventory off your hands. Nothing high end. Not rich..lol. budget would be around 1000. Just a collector. Not looking to flip
Awesome show...just a suggestion to show more of the cards...3 places in one video doesnt do justice to each one...wanted to see more Jim Thorpe stuff and the good stuff in the last stop.
When do you expect to have some more chasing cardboard hats available? They’ve been out of stock for a while so I wanted to check. Love the show. Thank you for putting this together.
Can you do a video on selling lower end cards? Especially on selling as lots. Would you lot by player? Or by team? Or by type? (I.e., same colored mosaic, same group of inserts, etc.) I know it’s grinding for small $, but I don’t know what to do with this inventory of lower end $1-$5 cards I have that wouldn’t make $ even if graded a 10. Thanks in advance!
