Amazing! I have a 2011 S1k have done some track days on my gsxr 1000 but never on my Bmw until watching this video...my heart is racing, love how you passed everyone so what seemed effortlessly...keep doing you!
A lot of pilots usually cover the speedometer and sometimes part of the RPMs as well! It's normal and it's usually done so they don't look at their speed! If you look, it's bad
Believe me all professional pilots don't cover speedos at all, because we never watch dashboard in regards what speed or rpm you are doing as you fully concentrated on your riding and smoothness, you only look at dash on the straight light in regards to see if there are any issues coming up with the bike (engine light or oil light) nothing else ;) This is covered purposely because he does footage fro magazine and doesn't want other people trying to follow the speeds he is riding as this is the common mistake from thew newbies to start chase up, usually endup very badly.
Great lap! I am a little curious about your use of engine braking. You blip the throttle and down shift before the turn and then seem to ride the engine through the first portion, somewhere around the halfway mark you start to roll on. I'm pretty sure this is referred to as an entry exit corner strategy, what is impressive is I don't see the front wheel dip much before the turn so are you really just riding the engine in or is the camera deceiving me?
i wish to get a big bike soon. currently riding a cbr250r and although its a 20bhp jump from my scooter which i had to use before i got my bike license i hardly feel much more power... wish i had just bought a s1000rr or something of the same range
ameya karnalkar you would need to restrict it so a s1krr with less than 100bhp. dude keep the 250 until un restricted licence is available. plus lower power bike teach you corner speed.
Squid is used over here too, but, possibly to a lesser extent. I think the term "Twat" is more widely used. ;) get some cheap textiles, or hunt around on Ebay. You can get some amazing 2nd-hand deals.
If you think that's good, check this out! "ZZR1400 vs 2012 Firelblade Brands GP" sorry, I meant this: "Brands Hatch GP On-board Lap" Peter Hickman, Tyco Honda, BSB. ;)
Rodrigo Caputo eu sei que voce entende em portugues e em ingles . I usually look at what I am marching because you need so much concentration that I have time I hindrance but that must be because I still do not have much experience, but since I'm new bike of great people kkkkk are four Ducati Monster, Yamaha XT660, Honda CB1000R and more expected by me and all my friends a Triumph Daytona 675r 2012 \ 2013
no matter if you're new to riding or a long time pro, riding without gear is just not worth the risk. you dont have to be bubble boy or use a pro leather 1 piece suit, but get some nice boots, jacket, gloves, and pants. you wont regret a penny spent if/when you go down. i know i didnt. infact, i regret not spending MORE on gear, maybe higher boots would have kept my shin from shattering to that street sign
is this word "SQUID" used within us British bikers as well??? or is it only in the America... I just spent my 2 years saving buying a year 10 R6 and I cant afford any leathers =[ i think those guys on their bike with full sets judge me as SQUID which is embarassing lol

love the sound, good vid
Mad skills!
Do your steel balls affect the handling at all?
what is that orange light blinking in the cluster at 1:40 ? im guessing traction control
Why do you cover the front brake liquid reservoir?
Protection from sunlight? Advertising?
Is the little orange light on the top left of the instrument panel that flashs around corners the T/C light.
awesome ! what class do you ride, and will you be going to Assen with the BSB this year ? would be great to meet you !

1:56 is that the paint on the starting grids doing that? I've felt traction loss before on paint but that is quite pronounced.
awesome!

keeps the fluid temp more consistent

Why is part of the dash covered?

Nice vid, grat feling while watching :)
No problem dude. =)
You've only got to remember Mike Hailwood to see how true that is.
Is it just me or is the truck runt on reverse for bikes?
Sweet. Id struggle to keep with you especially coz you on a s1000
so if it loose oil it's absorbed... and to protect from breaking in case of small impacts ;)

A 1:38, without traffic may be 1:36, not bad at all.
Wow, pushing that beamer to the limit...
He sure nows how to ride a bike
caught up to the other riders and rounded them in no time at all
fast as fk
as in, commenting on youtube clips ;-)
I Like :)
The quarter second you take to look at your speedo is that quarter second you make a fatal mistake.
If you know your speed, you might crap yourself thinking how can 2 tires grab you in a corner doing that speed.
