You guys crack me up. Ray is his hysterical with his singing and "Love ya, smooches" good byes. Kevin's side looks and constant laughs are spot on. I am glad to hear the pup is doing better. If I were you, I would keep one of each of the limited edition skeins and not use them. How often do people get a skein name after them or their pup.
Ray, "you're killing me Smalls!" I love when you whisper "9-inch circular needles" into the microphone. Do you go back and listen to yourself and giggle? I so would!
So glad you have found the joy that is Arne & Carlos. I was going on a knitting cruise with them in March 2020 from Aust to NZ however it was cancelled. So disappointed but when it didn't happen but more concerned with Carlos was dianosed with covid-19. All yarny youtubers have given me such joy over the last few months. Thanks to you all. Keep it up you make me smile... We need more smiles....xxx
I love it when you whisper "9-inch circular needles" into the microphone. So happy Tarquin is doing better. Love your podcast. Both of you are very funny and entertaining.
My goodness...if you all do a short show I'd be worried that you are sick or that there was a family emergency. Love you guys and all your expressions. Can't wait for your next episode.
Ray... your Pure Joy... yes! It looks a lot longer than the one I knit. Love it! Perfection. Kevin... the colors you chose and how you paired them are amazing in the Vertices Unite! I want to knit it exactly like that!
Hi Amie - Rays "blocked" his Pure Joy over the shower rod, we think it stretched his out some. The Vertices Unite is so fun, you should totally knit it.
Kevin and Ray, I absolutely love your podcast. Never be prepared PLEASE!! Watching you feels like I’m in the room with you and your talking to me. It’s so refreshing. Also, I just stated listening to Discovery of Witches again. It is one if my favorite series.
I love your podcast! Also, I joined Amanda Knits Harry Potter Club because of you guys...and boy am I glad I did. Opening up this month’s yarn bag was like Christmas morning...all the extras in the bag were so great! Can’t wait for my next months mystery yarn. Thanks for encouraging me to try a new dyer!
I have to comment in Arne and Carlos!!! Those 2 crack me up 😂 as well...go check out their recent series on their trip to northern Norway, it starts with Carlos showing you how they pack! In their latest episode they talked about a cruise that was canceled, my friends were supposed to be on that ship with them! I entertained the idea but work got in the way!😆
I agree with tanglethread below. the "buttonband" for the slade looks like it will be as wide as or wider than the front pieces you made. It's gorgeous as are all the FOs. The Flax is already awesome...you're nearly there! Love the Pure Joy.
You guys crack me up! And your shawls are fabulous. I’ve never used or knit a dishcloth but you make me want to give them a try. I felt this same way about handknit socks until I knit a pair and now I’m hooked!
So when you spelled “w-a-l-k” for Tarquin it freaked me out because we do that with Harris and then I realized everyone probably does that with their dog 😜
We just say "w". Can't disguise the BEEP BEEP of the car doors opening if we just need to be in the car for something. So hard to explain things to the animals!! ;)
I. Love. Y’all. Period. I may have to start watching each episode again on the second week so I get my fix and don’t have to wait two weeks! Love and much happiness!!!
Loved the video. Just found you and glad I did. Enjoy the rapport between you. It's not stiff - it's casual and I love it. Your knitting is beautiful. I love your shawls. Looking forward to your next video.
Happy 20th Anniversary. It makes my day listening to you both. Yes do some unveiling of your incoming goodies. I know I love mine when they come in. love seeing what you create .
You two just crack me up! Rays silly voices and Kevins glances..too funny. And every time I see Kevin, I think of Bristish actor Tim Dutton. So glad Tarquin is doing better. Your projects are gorgeous! I finished Discovery of Witches and moved onto "A Treasury of Royal Scandals". Have a wonderful two weeks guys!
I was watching a tutorial and every time she said 9 inch circular I laughed! Ray I got my shorties today...love my ChiaoGoo needles. So happy Tarquin is doing better. Love the logo progress keepers! Can’t wait for the next live with you. Stay safe. 💕🧶
So happy to see you guys!!!! I almost stopped what I was already watching for you!!! LOVE the shawls!!! I'm sure everyone would love to come to your renewal. ❤️ I've been converted to german short row, no more wrapping!! Bearded purl is out of bags!! 😭😭 Kevin I found the perfect easy top down robe(ish) cardigan, since you like that type. 😊 And have no idea why it's NOT a unisex!!! Penelope's cardigan...(it's a free universal yarns pattern!!) Length is easily adjustable..... I don't know how you guys have the time to do & watch all you do!! Update on California, for the first week in WEEKS, there was blue sky!!! (& No smokey stench, but the Creek Fire is only 10% contained, it's the little things)
Hi Im from the North of England and just wanted to say that I absolutely love you two, I check my laptop throughout the day looking for the next one, please keep this up, you both make my day.
another great podcast, boys, your both crack me up and got me through the heel flap on m,y Gd's socks, those are amazing shawls and they look great! Ray, i am knitting sleeves right along with you, we'll both be done in a fortnight for sure! Kevin i am sure you will figure out the puzzle of your sweater, i loved the color! those were amazing stitch markers, we are lucky to have you here to keep our spirits up! have a good couple weeks, gentle hugs to Tarquin and stay well, boys! ♥
your little fur baby is adorable : may i also say love you two your chat an creative projects are really lovely ; from a great gran knitter many long years; don't stop knitting.
When you opened that Dishie Yarns, I just bursted out laughing!!! My husband asked what I was laughing about ... because I also bought a big box of cotton yarn to knit up dishcloths for my family... I love you Kevin and Ray ... Breaking the Bank!!!
Love the Ravin & Tarquin yarn. Beauties. Both of you look amazing in those shawls. Ray perhaps you could wear your flax next episode and break out in song. Love that! Kevin u have inspired me to make some dish cloths for Thanksgiving. Simple knitting gives me so much joy! Thanks gentleman! ❤️🧶👌
OkKevin, since you felt brave enough to admit to having that sweater in the naughty corner for a year, I feel safe enough to admit that I’ve had a sweater in the naughty corner for 6 years!?! All I have left is half a sleeve and the collar/buttonband
Oh so much to digest in this episode. So just quickly YES to the unboxing/unpacking/unbag-ing(?) of stuff. You can even keep it and do a live episode of just that. Priceless reactions. About Ray's plans of moving; if Canada and Norway are too cold try the UK. You can use fortnight all the time and learn a bunch more of Victorian slang that is still current(ish) and fun to shout out loud.
Hi guys...just before the 3 minutes I had a smile on my face :) You're defenitely one of my most favourite podcast! Every video makes me happy. The special yarns ...Ravin and Tarquin...omg Iove it so much! So very sweet from her to made this for you. I don't think it's selfisch to keep the yarn for yourselfs...especially the Tarquin...keep it! (knit him a sweater of it:) ) It's so special. :) Colorwise I'm in love with he Ravin :)
Hahaha. Too funny, as you show your ChiaoGoo shorties, I’m sitting and knitting a baby hat on my new set that I just got. Love them!! If you move to Canada, go for Vancouver, BC. Right on the coast and gets more rain versus snow and rarely goes below -10C in winter. Arne and Carlos were at Knit City in Vancouver last year and I took their class, they are awesome! Super fun and amazing teachers. 😊🇨🇦🧶
The color of your flax is killing me I’m so jealous. I also struggle w the collar shape of the flax. However it makes it perfect for wearing a collared shirt underneath.
Happy 20th episode! I also have a big box of Dishie - finished my 1st dish towel not too long ago. Was inspired by you & Sweet Tea No Shade & they definitely are a good thing to knit when my knitting mojo is not around. On a different note, I'm pretty sure Harney & Sons tea co is based in CT - they have some very good teas! Thanks for entertaining!
Speaking of the tea. You questioned the one that said herbal infusion. Technically the only Teas are black, oolong, green and white. They come from the same Camilla sinensis plant. Most all other plants stepped in water are considered infusions . I should send you some of my friends loose leaf blends and make tea snobs out of you. Lol 😂😉
Those pads are make-up remover pads. 😅 The flax looks awesome. I love the color. Garments take a while to knit. I don’t get tired of seeing it. The colors vertices united shawl are very complimentary, nice choices. Kevin, You probably will pick up stitches along the edge of those skinny pieces for the shawl color.
I think the front panels are narrow because you have to pick up and knit a whack of ribbing on the button band and shawl collar. You're on the right track, Kevin!
"Shawl" we talk about how awesome you guys are and how much I love your podcast? Great to see you both again and I love your shawls! How special that gift from Ancestral Yarns is.
Kevin, keep going with the shawl cardigan. I love knitting in pieces. My first garments were knit in pieces and sewed - mattress stitch. Love sewing mattress stitch.
Omg! Ray..I love the way you made the shawl into a ‘scarf’, fed it thru the loop. I have many sharks and sometimes I can’t figure it out how to wear it, I’m going to have to do that!
Thank you both for the entertainment that you both provide. Thanks for the recommendation of "The Discovery Of Withes". I am listening to the book on Audible. Plus I found a series for 2018 on Amazon/Shudder It is very good as well. Have you all every watched the series?
I love watching you two so entertaining and everything you make is beautiful. Looks like a maxi pad🤦♀️😂😂😂. Ray I think I will have to knit that shawl you have on I’m way!!! To chicken to do Kevin’s that is a fricken work of art😍😍😍 Ray that sweater is gorgeous! I can’t wait to see how it looks on you beautiful yarn too. Also a discovery of witches fan❤️
Kevin, your Slade pieces are fine. I knit one for your “Let’s hear it for the boys” KAL for my 6’3” husband. The upper front is the top of a v neck, and the button band is SIX inches wide. You can trust the pattern. 🥰
I’m glad I read all the comments first because I was going to say the same thing! “I bet you’re supposed to add a giant shawl collar or button bands...”
Okay, I made 2 shawl collared sweaters from Brooklyn Tweed, Ilia by Michelle Wang, and Timberline by Jarod Flood. Both had me nervous because the front sections seemed too narrow, like yours. Look at the schematics and double check, but when I figured in the WIDE shawl collar, it worked out fine. The collar section will extend all the way rom one front hem, up the body, around the neck, and down to the other front hem and in both of my patterns the shawl collar adds 4 inches. Again, the schematics are your friend!
Beautiful projects and yarns. The Tarquin and Raven are gorgeous. Enjoyable episode as always. You and others have talked about doing something to your knits and I couldn't find out anywhere what this knitting term was. I had no idea how to spell it so I couldn't ask about it. Sounds like a skiing term? Sounds like Zsa Zsa Gabor. Every time I heard it I tried to look it up again. No luck. It was with this podcast that I began to think it has something to do with fussing with something in a mirror. I finally tracked it down through Urban Dictionary. "Tszuj." Ha, ha! Not a knitting term! (I don't watch a lot of TV...) Best wishes!
Thank you for the book recommendations. After your last episode, I found a Discovery of Witches in film format. Watched the entire season and it was great! You’re doing a great job!
Oh be careful with the Witch books. The series does have a finale, and it broke my heart to let this book world go. No spoilers, just a word of caution. I love these books so hard my Kindle squeaks.
Love it!!! You guys are my for sure favorites. Both of your shawls are wonderful. I just got my HP Club yarn from Amanda weeeeeeeee. Arne and Carlos are hilarious like you guys. Thank you for sharing, see you in a fortnite......
Love those shawls, you two! Both are gorgeous. Washcloths. Check out the Chinese Waves Washcloth. I've made 3 and plan to keep going. It's a variation on the linen stitch and just fun, easy and quick. I'm entering a set in the MAL. Fun show.
Hi Kevin and Ray - great podcast! Love the finished shawls, hats and wash cloths! Always fun to watch the banter and (that’s what she said made me laugh uncontrollably). But that’s not that type of podcast!
Oh my goodness I know!! It was such an amazing gift! Thank you so much for your kind words and for hanging out with us for a bit 🥰
Ray, "you're killing me Smalls!" I love when you whisper "9-inch circular needles" into the microphone. Do you go back and listen to yourself and giggle? I so would!
Hahaha I just shake my head when I go back and watch...lol. I have no idea how that even started 🤷♂️😆
I hope you guys never change or get organized for the podcast. I love how you do it as is.
Thank you Sharon 😊 Something tells me we’ll never get it together lol 😂
I agree totally! They're the guy version of the Grocery Girls😁
So glad you have found the joy that is Arne & Carlos. I was going on a knitting cruise with them in March 2020 from Aust to NZ however it was cancelled. Lol 😂 I love this...haha.

You 2 are awesome. Both shawl s are beautiful. And your owl mail is amazing. I love doing dish cloths.

The NAtR yarn and stitch markers were amazing!! Had fun watching :-)
Thanks so much Caleb! It was such an amazing surprise when we got them 😊
Kevin and Ray, I absolutely love your podcast. Never be prepared PLEASE!! Watching you feels like I’m in the room with you and your talking to me. It’s so refreshing. Also, I just stated listening to Discovery of Witches again. It is one if my favorite series.
Hahah thanks! I don’t think we’ll ever be prepared so no worries there LOL 😂
I love your podcast! Also, I joined Amanda Knits Harry Potter Club because of you guys...and boy am I glad I did. Awesome!!! We are so glad you love it as much as we do!! She’s very talented and does some really fun things 😊
Kevin, the way your shawl sits on you is stunning, the colors looks fabulous! I love the color of the middle section.
I entertained the idea but work got in the way!😆
Thank you so much!
We will totally check it out, thank you.
Carlos got very very sick from covid and they were gone for several months, but now back with this new version of their podcast. Just love them!
They are totally funny and have great tutorials as well. I’m going to steam my sweater according to one of their videos 😊
I agree with tanglethread below. the "buttonband" for the slade looks like it will be as wide as or wider than the front pieces you made. It's gorgeous as are all the FOs. The Flax is already awesome...you're nearly there! Love the Pure Joy.
Thanks so much, Chari! I think with the button band/shawl collar it will be a beautiful fit 😊
I really enjoy watching you two. Thanks for entertaining me while I knit my dishcloth. 🥰
Our pleasure! Thank you so much for watching.
Guys, your shawls are so pretty. You both had me cracking up! Have a great two weeks!
Thank you so much Sharon!
You guys crack me up! And your shawls are fabulous. I’ve never used or knit a dishcloth but you make me want to give them a try. I felt this same way about handknit socks until I knit a pair and now I’m hooked!
Us too!! We tried the dishcloth on a whim and now are totally hooked! Haha 😆
Thank you so much for the great company and video. Keep safe and take care. Biggest hugsss and love to you both and Tarquin 💙🐱🌸🧶🐕

Yay!! It’s such a great color!! Can’t wait for the next one 😊
So when you spelled “w-a-l-k” for Tarquin it freaked me out because we do that with Harris and then I realized everyone probably does that with their dog 😜
Or we could just be the same people living in a weird alternate universe? 🤷🏼♂️🤔
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast I believe that you are and I'm on a deja vu loop. Lol.

Ravin!so awesome. Still my favorite reason to watch you guys is because you pick great patterns for men. And choose colors that are very practical.
Aww thanks so much Deborah!! Not sure what we are going to make with the yarn yet, it’s so special 😊
I. Love. Y’all. Period. I may have to start watching each episode again on the second week so I get my fix and don’t have to wait two weeks! Love and much happiness!!!

Thank you both for the entertainment that you both provide. Thanks for the recommendation of "The Discovery Of Withes". I am listening to the book on Audible. Plus I found a series for 2018 on Amazon/Shudder It is very good as well. Have you all every watched the series?
Yes, the series is great! They took some liberties but overall it worked 😊
Thank you so much!! The Pure Joy was such a great knit!! The name totally says it all 😊
Kevin, your Slade pieces are fine.
Holy cow!! That’s great!! No frogging now..haha
Love you guys I waited till sunday to look at you quietly, you guys are soo funny
Thanks Dawn! We love hanging out with you all and glad we could bring you some joy 😊
Kevin, you convinced me to start my Vertices Unite! I am at the stage where I am struggling with colour choices too. Time to make a decision and go. 😊
Choosing the colors was seriously the hardest part, but seeing how it all came together, it was WAY worth it! 😊
I love those bucket bags, i want one so bad!
We are really hoping he decides to sell them 😍
You could make Tarquin a sweater with part of your Tarquin yarn.
OMG that is a really good idea, we didn't even think about that.
Elin S agreed! I thought the same thing!
Thank you for the info, I will take a look at it, it has still been in time out :)
Love to spend my knitting time with you! Greetings from Germany!
Thank you! 😊
So cool you got Candy Skein Yarn! It's one of my local shops and looove the yarn 😬
Hi CC - Can't wait to give it a try, we love the color so much.
Amazing projects as always!
Harney and sons is literally my favorite tea! And I am huge tea person!
And we just found out they are semi-local to us 😊
Beautiful projects and yarns.
Haha 😂 this made me laugh!! We spent a long time trying to find the spelling!! Glad you enjoyed the episode as much as we did ❤️
You guys are right on with your voice track & video.
Thank you Nana, glad it is not all weird this time.
The FLAX was the second sweater I've ever knit. I love it to bits!!! May knit another 🤗
We agree, it is such a good knit. Might do it again without the sleeve details.
You two are awesome!! I love the days I get the notice you have put up a podcast 🌺🐶.
Yay! Thank you!
Come to Canada! It isn’t that cold, honest ☺️
Maybe one day!
Thank you for the book recommendations. After your last episode, I found a Discovery of Witches in film format. Watched the entire season and it was great! You’re doing a great job!
Hi Anita - We really enjoyed the tv show too. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
Oh be careful with the Witch books. The series does have a finale, and it broke my heart to let this book world go. No spoilers, just a word of caution. I love these books so hard my Kindle squeaks.
Hi Susi - Oh no, I have such trouble letting go of a good book series.
Enjoy your podcast so much.
Thank Becky! We love doing them 😊
Great job as usual, keep up the great work!
Thanks Joe 😊
But now we know that Diamond is sleeping with Kirby!
Lmao 😂

Thank you!!
Love it!!! You guys are my for sure favorites. Both of your shawls are wonderful. I just got my HP Club yarn from Amanda weeeeeeeee. Arne and Carlos are hilarious like you guys. Thank you for sharing, see you in a fortnite......

🌹 What a heartwarming gesture from Laura 😍😭 I absolutely already bought my skeins!! It will be like having a piece of you in my craft space 👏🏽
Veronica that is amazing, so great of you to support small businesses!
Love those shawls, you two! Both are gorgeous. Washcloths. Check out the Chinese Waves Washcloth. I've made 3 and plan to keep going. It's a variation on the linen stitch and just fun, easy and quick. I'm entering a set in the MAL. Fun show.
Excellent suggestion, thanks! We will check out that pattern 🥰
Dang it! Ancestral did it again right after I said no more yarn, I’m coming Tarquin!!
Haha 😂
Hi Kevin and Ray - great podcast! Love the finished shawls, hats and wash cloths! Always fun to watch the banter and (that’s what she said made me laugh uncontrollably). But that’s not that type of podcast!
Hi Gary! So glad you enjoyed it :)
Awesome episode, I was cracking up a lot, you guys have such great chemistry.
Aww thanks so much! I (Ray) really need to get back to it, it’s soo good 😌
