I’m new to sublimation and really struggling with press lines. What is your “protective sheet”? Is it the heat transfer paper? Then (perhaps a silly question) is the Teflon sheet something else again? I have the Teflon protective wrap in my upper platen, if that will work the same. Thanks for any help.

Hi! We do our shirts on 8" x 11", and use a lot of that area leaving little leeway for the pillow, what size would you recommend. Or would you recommend the hand cut foam option for that? Thanks in advance!

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. You can use a pillow that is 7.75” x 10.75” and as long as your image is slightly smaller than your pillow and the white paper around the image is larger than your pillow you should be fine! You could technically go a little bigger with the pillow, but it will be difficult to line up properly.

If you don't use butcher paper on top of the pillow, how do you keep the ink from transferring to your pillow?

Hi! I always use some sort of poly to fill the pillow and It seems that the ink passes through the Teflon and gets trapped in the poly and doesn’t pass back through on the next press. I’ve been using the same pillows for over a year and have never had the ink show on top of the pillow or leave a transfer on the inside of my garments. My last pillow filled with a cushion got rigid after a while, so I folded some polyester fabric and used that as the filling.
