This is one of the worst "why this Univ" supps ever. From line one to the end, it reeks of insincerity. Anyone can just read Duke's website, blogs, anything online and manufacture this contrived statement. She did not get in because of this, AOs are not naive, she got in for other reasons, not this regurgitation of their website.
I strongly disagree. She obviously did research for Duke and found an aspect she resonated with. What else was she supposed to do? Discover hidden secrets of the university that only a select few officials know of?
I wish I would’ve watched this before submitting my application.

Every college essay is insincere. Admission officers don’t actually want you to be “authentic”
