@@nevercallmebyname If too many balls enter the hopper the arm won't be able to push them all up. I ended up gearing it up so it's a bit faster and it worked great at the last show I did.
Very cool, new intro is tight and I'm looking forward to seeing more quick shots of other modules! Definitely want to see a slightly different gear ratio on this one though so it runs a bit faster, but it's a great update to Kevin's design regardless!
One inherent problem with these types of modules, unfortunately, is that the pusher will tend to skim over a solid layer of balls instead of digging in and pushing them. I tried to solve that problem with the spiky 1x2round, but it didn't work.
Hey I got a question, how many motors did you use for the 3 contraptions at 2:20 minutes and if you only used 1 how did you connect them to each other?
He used a universal joint and a couple of axles(A universal joint allows two technic axles to join at an angle. While useful for transferring motion, they cause fluctuations in the rotational speed of the driven axle which become more significant as the angles of the two axles increases.)
