With respect, John is great in his own terms, he doesn't need Mark Knopfler to shine.
MK is a legend of the guitar, but he's chosen to walk a different path. Nobody is wrong here, it's their choice.
But, I must say, I am SO GLAD John Illsley is still sharing his talents with the select audience who is capable to appreciate his work!
