2:35 Tbf, the actual answer depends on the person/family/culture, arguably. But yeah, ideally for a cafe, any ingredients should be before their best by date or at least a month-ish before their expiration date. But if it's just for home, here in the Philippines at least, we eat/drink anything for at least a month _after_ the expiration date as long as it's been refrigerated lol. Might not be the case for all Filipinos, but at the very least poor to middle class Filipinos do it to an extent (and heck, some people might not even care about the expiration date at all as long as it's cheap, and especially if it's free).

The most unbelievable bit of this video is Kanata breaking the plate by just dropping it and not by merely holding it with unrestrained power.
