as a person of indian origin with super wavy curly hair in a chinese dominated country, every trip to the hairdresser is a nightmare where my natural hair is just called unhealthy, frizzy and too dry, everything you said at the end was like a warm hug! got bangs now really happy, lots of love
I appreciate her comments about hair texture discrimination as a Black woman. We all just want to look our best and look like ourselves without negative judgment. So many varieties of beauty, but sometimes not looking like her (even she was teased at one point) can make one envious because it’s the look put on a pedestal.
not just a beautiful person outside but as well inside. I loved the respectful way that you presented your "hair story", being honesty and real, but pointing the big picture in such a sensitive and intelligent way. LOVED IT SO MUCH! Anxious to watch more videos in this channel.
I have been struggling with my hair thinning for the majority of my twenties which sucks because at such a young age I was terrified of losing my hair, and as a women my beauty was always related to my hair (by society). Only recently I did a holistic approach to trying to fix my hair loss issue and believe it or not my mentality about hair loss was a big contributing factor that I believe made my hair regrow again!! Ever since I stumbled upon your channel I always thought: ‘oh lucky her, she has a beautiful thick head of hair not like me’ and today when I heard your ‘rant’ at the end of your video you have no idea how much confidence it gave me again!! I love how beautiful you are inside and out 🥹🥹🥹❤
That is why I’ve been cutting my own hair for several years now. It hurts having to apologize to hairdressers for having lots of hair. That shouldn’t be a sin. And I shouldn’t have to thin it out to make it easier for others.
Mara is honestly the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen and as if the beauty isn’t enough, god goes one more and adds that accent. Unbelievable. Some people get all the luck.
I’m very happy that you are here and I hope that you will continue to share your worldview, convey how important the value of each person and their independence is, even in such things as hair. // I didn't like long hair on myself since childhood because it was very tangled and for me it was a personal hell and sometimes I cried. later I grew them again succumbing to the influence of my friend and realized that it was not me. my mother always says that short hair is not feminine, and also to have a thin figure, but I think that this is wrong, because you don’t allow a person to reveal themselves, to show the world who you really are. give people freedom regardless of gender. ❤️🙏🏻
Lina Kondrateva such a beautiful testimony, thank you so much for sharing. You define your own sense of beauty and what feels good to you is fundamentally intimate and personal. 🤍
It makes me sad when people say women are less feminine with short hair. Not that it matters, we can choose how feminine we want to be not what society tells us. Look at Halle Barry! She is most definitely feminine. Same with Jada Pinkette Smith
The thing with full hair is that it is extremely difficult to maintain during early years, so so difficult But as you approach your 50s, you realize it's a true blessing ❤ I have always admired your hair, color, texture, style, fullness, just beautiful
I’m so happy you’re here and that you made this incredible video. Thank you! I had tears in my eyes watching the last bit, as someone who has struggled with very fine hair, being told I should want it thicker, getting hair extensions for volume, etc etc. I’ve since begun the journey of growing out my natural hair (have been colouring it for over a decade because of not loving my ashy light brown hair and wanting it richer, darker, or blonde or red and everything in between). The long and short of this is all to say, this video meant so much to me, thank you. xx
Feeling anxious last night I decided to cut my long bangs short. After seeing the results my jaw dropped and my mouth has been open ever since. Watching your video has given me hope. I have naturally curly hair and live in Santa Monica , CA. The ocean makes my bangs sooooo curly and am going to buy a travel straightener today. Thanks for the video!!!
I love your “rant” at the end. I can relate as I have SUPER thick hair that is wavy and frizzy, and as a Korean-American, every time I went to a Korean salon and asked for what I wanted, I would be told by the hair dressers that they knew better and would proceed to cut chunks of my hair out to thin it and try to convince me to get hair straightening done which would make me feel like something was wrong with my hair. Now that I’m older, I appreciate my type of hair more and more for its unique qualities and really fight back (even though I shouldn’t have to) on what I think is right for me.
So wise gorgeous girl! 😊 I recently posted on Instagram that I wanted to get bangs, and I had so many people tell me not to do it. It made me really upset, I didn't think they had a right to tell me. I've been a model for 11 years, and recently quit. I'm so excited now to finally be able to do whatever I want with my hair! Thank you for what you said at the end of this video. It just gave me more courage to be myself xxx
So happy you finally have a youtube!! i was hoping you would make one ever since those videos with parisianvibe❤️you’re so sweet and beautiful😩can’t wait to see more videos angel
It’s so great to see you on your own YT channel... you are gorgeous, have great style and have such a cool personality ..excited to see more vidoes up soon:) Good luck!
Omg yass content queen!!! Please do make up tutorials, skin care routine (morning and night), favourite jewelry (you have amazing necklaces), workout routine / diet
I first found you on Instagram because i really dig your content and the way you pose. Now, i’m already here and i admire you more! I really love your style and confidence. ✨💖
It was as if I was telling the story about myself & my own thick hair trials while growing up. Mine however, was very "curly" & thick ....so difficult for my mom to manage when I was a child & I would cry during our hair sessions. I decided to chemically straighten it for many years but that chemical treatment was very damaging and my hair also become very porous. After that I went back to growing out my natural curly hair without the straightener but did color my hair so it did remain on the dry side & back then the products did not have the natural conditioning & nutrients as they have today. Thanks for sharing your story!!! 💟💜💟💜💟
So true! I have crazy hair : a lot of texture, a lot of hair and they are curly.... I worked in finance and I got discriminated because it was too "sexy". I hide my hair, constantly try to straight them, make them thin ect... It kills my hair! But it wasn't me.... Yes I have a lot of hair, and I am not going to be sorry to be naturally "sexy". I stopped finance and I am so glad my hair are back!!!
i have so much hair as well and i love it so much and would never think about thinning it out ! btw i wish you told us a lil bit about ur haircut ( not fringe ) but its alright! love you :)
You are gorgeous inside and out. Love me a good fringe video, I feel like having bangs is a full on lifestyle! Ever since I got mine I have been loving them and I am never going back!🖤
You're so pretty! I love your bangs so much, I'm planning on getting some curtain bangs soon and this video helped me a lot so thank you for making this video! Again, you look stunning.
You're really gorgeous inside and outside! Thanks for the encouraging words & could you make a video on how to deal with body hair please &/or how to take care of your hair if you exercise? Also what shampoo do you use? Because my hair used to be sooo much more and voluminous, beautiful etc...but I dyed it & started "experimenting" with natural remedies & products without sulfates, silicone etc. but now my hair is frizzy, less, gets dirty faster...😭
Mara! You did it! Firstly, I love your accent so much. Your English is great bro. Secondly, your hair are really beautiful and the lesson was quite amazing. Lastly, thank you for always raising self awareness, the reason why I love you so much, you have a voice and you use it. You're like a good friend with advices and lots of jokes here and there... (they are funny okay) can't wait to see more from you! 💕
I literally do NOTHING to my fringe, I dont even brush it or style it, I just let my hair dry naturally (using a towel) and just fix it a bit with my hands. I also use some hair oil fir shine. And it looks perfect, even tho I cut it myself😌👌
when you said you have a lots of hair and so in the rest of your body i totally understand. i do have a lots of hair and so while almost EVERYONE especially girls kids used to point my arms and it became an insecurity for me. the difference is that as my hair is darker so my body hair IS darker too.
Loooove it! Such a beautiful hair! And also you are pretty and so french but funny at the same time and so down to earth. Love to see more of you on YT. ☺️❤️
Do you always leave your bangs that length? Or do you cut it shorter? As I wanna get bangs that look exactly like yours but scared I’ll get irritated with it in my eyes all the time.❤️
Sorya Eap j’en mets presque tous les jours et ça ne m’irrite pas ... le klorane est doux pour ça :) et comme je fais souvent des masques d’huile , ça doit aider mon cuir chevelu à supporter !
You may have curlier hair than you think if you use the Girly Girl Method and or read the Curly Girl Handbook! I have the same hair as you and used to see it as straight with some waves, but now I actually go through life as a curly :-)

@mara Do you have white hairs? I am starting to have couple of them but I don’t want to change the color of my hair
How often do you wash your hair? And do you usually wash at night
Can i know where those necklaces are from?
