6.5 creedmoor 2022 antlerless elk hunt

Shot with ruger American 6.5creedmoor 140 g eldm.@200 yards . Went right through the heart and lungs. And blew up the shoulder on the opposite side of the animal. I love the way this gun shoots and have shot placement confidence with it. And that is what matters i believe .

How much did it run?

Didn’t run very far with a broken shoulder. Or with a heart cut in half. Maybe a total of 40 or 50 feet after between a few stumbles. I was tempted to put one in its head exactly when it flopped over.

@@phardy86 That's what I was saying to myself during the video, just put one in the head. Great shot, great hunt. In all my years of hunting I've never used a Hornady bullet until 2023 deer season. The ELDX and ELDM performed the same in 2 different 7PRCs. Shots were close, from 60 yards to around 220. Was also my first time to ever use a bullet labeled "match." I did it for 2 reasons. 1. Saw youtube videos of people praising the accuracy and lethality of the ELDM and, the factory ammo shot really really well.

Not a fan of eldm or eldx bullets for that reason right there... bullet separation.
