Hi, every producer has different resin-hardener proportions - read the label! ~1.0:0.4

What was the size of the drill bit you used to make the center of the whole for the ring?

It's called a paddle bit and I would assume 5/8ths

Looks absolutely cool but seems like this ring is just huge. May be with thiner edged it'd look better if it wouldn't make the ring too fragile

Hi, great job done with very little tools, which makes projects more accessible for the person that can't afford them, or doesn't want to buy them for a one off! Please don't take this as criticism, I only mean well by your health. When drilling you should always fasten the object down to something with a clamp or similar, if the material you are holding comes loose it will spin quickly and hit your hand, and break a finger like it did to me, 20 years ago. The second thing is, don't use cooking oil on wood, it can turn it rancid. You need boiled linseed oil, or mineral oil or the thousands of other items out there! Sorry to sound like a pain in the butt, but I'm only stating it for the betterment of your health. Have a great 2018? Cheers Sean

Thanks for constructive criticism. Sometimes the filming process restricts me. Of course, you're right with oils. Greetings. S. B. :-)

This is not a secret ring like the title claims! It is just a wood and epoxy ring that is way too huge to be practical to wear.
